Bio

At an early age Keith took an interest in music,By junior high he was playing the piano and by high school he was in his first band, the Union.Say`s Keith "we were just hav`n fun.We had a drummer an acoustis guitarist and me on keys, but we only played one show." After the Union Keith formed his next band, Electric Prophet. "Electric Prophet was the same band as the Union, but with a different drummer, and we added a bass and electric guitar. We played one show, the bass and electric guitarist did`nt show up.Needless to say it was a disaster,.......quite humbling." After Keith had graduated from high school, and at the age of tweantyfour decided to buy a house, "When I bought my house I decided to sell one of my keyboards. When the guy came to buy it he said he fixed up old fiddles.Right their I knew I had too have one! At the time I was listening to nothing but Kansas(during high school and a good time pass)Robby Steinhardt`s violin playing inspired me to learn the instrument. So at the age of tweanty four I had my first fiddle." Soon after Keith took violin lessons from stellar violinist Solvieg Petterson. Those lessons lasted for six months, say`s Keith "I did`nt want to practice with a room mate around" But Keith was destined to play the violin.By the Spring of 1999 Keith`s room mate moved out and Keith went to his first bluegrass festival. Their Keith met fiddle wizard Brian Wicklund."I remember asking Brian if he knew anyone who tought lessons,....he said he did." Keith took fiddle lessons from Brian Wicklund for three and a half years, during that time Keith was also involved with the worship team at the Church of the Open Door in Crystal Mn. Around the same time Keith met the people to be in his next band, Mad Dog and the Blazers. "We were a blues band, for the fist time I was`nt the leader.....that was hard, but I learnd a lot about the blues and a little about jazz. The lead guitarist for Mad Dog and the Blazers did most of the work on my Strad-ocaster and on my F-Style electric mando, a real Blessing." After Mad Dog and the Blazers came A Dose of the Ghost,a southern rock band. "this time I was finally in a band that played more than one show.I had a blast, but things fell apart" Keith kept playing in different worship teams and a bunch of one time shot gigs. Keith has been taking violin lessons from classical violin virtuoso Gail Fisk, since 2001. Whats next for Keith? Come back and find out....
