Batista first burst on to the wrestling scene when wrestling in the Wild Samoan Brothers wrestling promotion, WXW and even then he destroyed his opponents with his dominating size and power. This caught the WWE's attention and they signed him to a development contract in 2000. In OVW, Batista was still as dominant.

Finally, Batista debuted in the WWE in mid-2002 (then known as Deacon Batista) on the SmackDown! roster as Reverend D-Von's right hand man, demanding that fans put donations in the donation box that he held around his neck...it also came in handy for knocking out his or Reverend D-Von's opponents. Batista left Reverend D-Von and went over to the RAW roster to join Triple H, Randy Orton and Ric Flair to form the ever so dominating Evolution.

The animal within Batista had been unleashed after joining Evolution, almost ending the career's of any WWE Superstar who was thrown into his path of destruction. Triple H and Ric Flair were soon to be thrown into that path as Batista broke away from Evolution, knowing he could do better on his own. Now, every Friday night on SmackDown!, Batista shows he's a force to be reckoned with. He is, without a doubt, one of the most powerful and popular Superstars to set foot in a WWE ring and opponents will keep coming after Batista and he'll just keep knocking 'em down, no matter who that person may be.
