COLE
I could stay awake just to hear you breathing
Watch you smile while you are sleeping
While you're far away and dreaming
I could spend my life in this sweet surrender
I could stay lost in this moment forever
Every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure ...
I don't wanna miss one smile
I don't wanna miss one kiss
Well, I just wanna be with you
Right here with you, just like this
I just wanna hold you close
Feel your heart so close to mine
And stay here in this moment
For all the rest of time...

a little baby boy blessed our lives!

In the past year, Cole has learned and developed so much...how to drink from a sippycup, feed himself, buttscoot, almost walk on his own, sing, laugh, and most of all love. He's also learned to be tough from daily squabbles with his big brother. Now we are celebrating a wonderful past year full of memories and laughter as well as a big kick off for the next promising year!

Cole's birthday celebration was more for the family than it was for our ONE-der boy. After all, "Chunky Monkey" doesn't really understand what the whole ruckus is all about! It was a chance for us to "ooh" and "aah" over our
ONE-derful tyke!

We celebrated Cole's 1st birthday with the traditional Korean Tol. Cole donned the Korean hanbok which Chance wore on his own 1st birthday. This consist of many layers of clothing and a long black hat for the ceremony. He's placed behind a table full of food and several types of symbolic objects which he must choose from. Whichever item he chooses first is said to foretell his future...a pencil or book means he will become a scholar; money or rice means he will gain great wealth or be a merchant; thread means a long life; food means he will become a government official; and an arrow or dagger means a career as a military officer. Cole chose the rice first (he actually ate it) and the dagger second!

It was delightful to watch Cole react to his two birthday cakes, tear into his presents and try to wiggle out of his hanbok! He is definitely a curious little monkey who loves to mimic, hug and most of all chase after his big brother.
