Hampton Beach
Hampton Beach, NH:
I got to the venue about 3 hours before the show started, an hour before doors opened. My friend and I got in, and we were front row, almost center but not quite.
First opener was Endeverafter. Pretty good, not amazing or anything, but not a bad choice for an opener. My favorite song they played was Baby Baby Baby, I like that song (but I already knew that. I added them a long time ago. So it was pretty cool getting to see a band that I have as a friend). After their set, Michael (lead vox/lead guitar) was walking in front of the stage talking to the audience. When he walked by me, I went to go and shake his hand, which he did, and then he gave me a kiss on the hand (what a sweetheart!)
It was the weirdest thing. During Endeverafters set, this guy who I was like 100% sure was Jeff walked by right in front of the stage, like I could've touched him (but I didnt. He went over and talked to some roadie. And then he walked back, again right in front of me. Now, I was freaking out, but like nobody else did anything, didn't even react. It was so weird, so then I thought I mustve been imagining things, and that it wasnt really Jeff.
Next opener was Lynam. Omfg, they freaking rock! They were so much fun to watch, I freaking love them so much. The lead singer Jacob sang right to my friend during the concert, very cool. And then later, I was like staring at the drummer cause he was so cool, and he saw me looking at him and he like got this really big smile and stuck his tongue out, he's so adorable! (this isnt the end of Lynam as far as my review goes. They make a return to my review at the end).
Now on to CINDERELLA!!! They came out like a freaking bat from hell, the crowd freaking flipped when they hit the stage. Eric was on my stage, and the second he was over on our side, I held my poster up like in his face, so he couldnt miss it (you'll see the poster in a second). When Eric read it, he looked at me and he smiled and kind of winked, I was just like awww, he's such a sweety, I love him. I did basically the same thing when Tom came over to our side, I know he saw it and read it, and after he did he looked at me, and his smile got a little bigger *happy*. *Note from the webmistress-I am pleased that Tom and Eric saw the heartfelt sign that we discussed before her show. Spur-of-the-moment ideas are awesome!*
Now, Im not gonna lie, there were times during the concert when I could tell Tom was having some problems. But overall, it was so amazing, Tom still sounds great imo. The whole band was on fire, they were just so tight, they looked so happy. To me, Eric seemed so much happier this year than he did last year. Idk, last year, I feel like I didnt see him smile all that much while playing, this year he was like all smiles, it was so nice to see. And Tom looked great, as usual haha.
After the concert was all done, my friend and I wanted to buy Lynams cd. So we went to the merch table to get it, and the drummer of the band, David, was standing over there. So I started talking to him. He was extremely sweet. He said the band would sign the cds we bought. And like, I was having a really hard time getting the sticker off the cd, so he was like, let me help you with that. I dont even know what he did, but he took it and got the cover off and the band all signed the insert of the cd. As we were getting ready to leave, I asked David if I could get a hug. He was like, sure sweety. (god I love him!. He gives really good hugs btw! but Im sooooo mad cause me and my friend got pics with the band (well, I just got a pic with David, she got the whole band) but after we left, we checked her camera, and we dont think the pics worked. So I dont think we got the pics, and Im gonna cry if they didnt work. Unfortunately, because I bought the Lynam cd, I couldnt buy anything else, so no new Cinder shirts for Devon :-[
