Mark Chauessee
Before Manson

It’s hard tracking down much reliable information on the "Against All Gods" Live guitarist who replaced John 5. What is known is that Mark was formerly a member of Danzig and also played guitar for Rob Halford in the post Judas Priest band Fight.

During Manson

Chauessee joined the band in mid 2004, replacing departed John 5, for the Against All Gods tour (2004 – 2005).

Mark has an all together different guitar style than the technically perfect John 5. Mark brought what can only be described as an "Old Skool" heavy metal style to the music that he played live on stage. Sadly a lot of the fans found it hard to accept this new six stringer to the band. Reviews on live gigs were notably harsh towards Mark, with criticism towards the skill, style and look.

After Manson

Although it hasn’t been confirmed either way, Manson’s mention of using section guitarists instead of employing a full time guitarist makes it acceptable to guess that Chauessee won’t be continuing with the band on the eagerly awaited follow up to Golden Age of Grotesque. However it is easy enough to surmise that Mark may have laid down some of the licks following the end of the Against All Gods tour.

I guess it’s just wait and see.
