PART THREE

Timber gave Querion a long slow look, her eyes searching. Finally, she seems to make a decision. She reaches out a hand and puts it gently on top of Querion’s. “I’m not going anywhere handsome.” She says gravely, suddenly she rises out of her seat and walks behind the warrior, wrapping her arms around his shoulders and resting her head against the back of his. “I’m not going anywhere.”

The young Maximal sadly watched as the black 'bot was being taken away. Being the fact that she had just met him, she was quite confused about what had just happened.

Glancing back to see the young female wolf, throwing herself upon Querion, she decided that she'd rather not ask him why Relic's being taken away.

Sighing outwardly, she grabbed a seat that had toppled over, and plunked herself down, resting her head on her hands.

“Bye Relic!” Catfish waved an energetic farewell to the assassin. Once he was out of sight she sat and started poking through the new items in her packs. There were quite a few since she hadn’t checked for a while. Then she noticed the other bot sitting beside her.

“Hello!” She said, waving again, “I’m Catfish. Are you Phyphen? That’s a funny name.”

------------------

Rita stirred the punch bowl to scatter the floating pineapple pieces and deftly scooped a ladle-full of liquid into the cup. Then lightly touched her blaster as she sensed someone approaching behind her.

“You some here often?” Burnout asked, leaning on the table beside her.

“That’s one of the most Prime awful pickup lines I’ve ever heard.” She said, turning around and leaning like him.

“Okay, I’ll try again.” He thought for moment, “What’s your sign…no wait, we don’t have those…”

Rita grinned as she sampled her drink, then her smile twisted. “Someone needs to spike this punch.”

“M’hm.” Burnout agreed, tasting the other glass, “So, what are you planning to do after all this is over.”

“That depends a whole lot on what you’re planning to do.”

He smiled, “Let’s talk terms.”

“Let’s.”

Querion blinked, then grinned foolishly at Timber's words. He held her arms, indulging in this moment. He kept his wide grin, as he rested his head on hers, clutching her hands tightly in his, as though afraid to let go. He felt the softness of her long pale hair on his shoulder, and his senses were filled with her strong sensual scent.

Querion felt overwhelmed by her presence. He cuddled Timber a little closer, unconsciously blushing as he did.

The wolf-bot turned around and smiled at Timber. "Let's go get some punch. I'm sure I didn't spill everything. After that, we'll go talk to Rhapsody, and see if she can do anything to get Relic out of this fix."

Looking up from her seat at the table, she was staring at a obviously female 'bot, smiling she extended her hand, as she always does, "Yea! My name's Phyphen, how'd'ya know that?" she paused for a moment. "Catfish? Your name is kinda funny too! But I like it... Cat-fish..."

After realising that this Maximal was alot nicer and not totally preoccupied like someone she knew... (Querion)she decided to pose her question.

"Do you know where Relic's going? Why did they take him away? And why did that femme 'bot attack him - while she was looking for you?" obviously quite confused, the red fox put her hands back on her paws.

Looking around and finding her punch gone.. she remember about something. Opening a subspace pocket she pulled out two candies. Offering the other remaining candy to the fuzor, she popped the delictable in her mouth.

"Yummy!"

Catfish yelped in delight and thoroughly enjoyed her piece of candy. As a result it was some time before she got around to answering Phyphen. She licked the last of the sweetness off her fingers, examined them for a moment to make sure it was all gone, then turned back to the bot beside her.

“Oh, Relic will be fine. I get dragged off like that a lot, it’s fun! This sector’s security officer has a jar of gumdrops on his desk. I like gumdrops. My favorite flavor is strawberry, but grape’s okay too.”

“But what about the femme?” Phyphen prodded.

“Rita was just being silly. She does that a lot. Do you have any more candy?” Catfish asked hopefully.

Phyphen shrugged off her concern. If Catfish had been dragged off before, maybe they just needed to ask him a few questions.

"'Course I have another candy!" the fox exclaimed, reaching back down into her subspace pocket, this time pulling out a few and spreading them out onto the table.

Picking a choice blue wrapper the young Maximals began to eat away, pausing to lick a finger or two. "How long have you been with these other Maximals? Are you part of what they call the 'Resistance'? I think I am now..."

RHapsody followed wraith to another room but was interupted once more by Querion. "THey just took Relic away!" He said TImber standing right behind him.

Wraith could be seen a few feet back punching a hole through the wall for being interupted once again. "THats impoossible! We have been cleared from everything, even crimes commited before Endport, the conciul said so. I am sure its just a mistake or somthing." RHapsody said hopefully. With that Rhapsody headed toward the back once again. In the party the fun went on through that evening and the next day. Solarflare, buckshot, Querion and Timber and Buckshots mom competeing in the the party olympics. Catfish got enough candy to completely destroy most of the party and a small city block.

RHapsody wasn't seen again the rest of the night except for when she left and offically dismissed the crew obviously severly distracted. Later on Wraith came out of the back and grab the biggest bottle of liquor he could find.

"Hey wraith whats wrong bro?" Solarflare said half tipsy.

Wraith showed Solarflare a ring and took another long drink. "She has to think about it."
