History
Ayla was born in Rayne, the empire of immortals, however she was not completely immortal. She was half- mortal and half immortal because Solice had cheated on her husband. Her mother being Solice Rayne and her father being the Silverian king, Chance. She had two half sisters and one real sister. The two half sisters were Princess Irma Anduin DarkAngel Salvador, and Serra DarkAngel. Her real sister was Dawn Morningmist, a Knight of the Anduin Empire. At an early age, Solice wanted to send Ayla away from the harsh reality of war, that being with Gargauth. At this time, there were three major things in the growing world that He wanted: Silveria, Rayne and the CladDragon clan. He saw that it would be easier to get his grip on Silveria first because the land was so small. He sought to destroy it first and later sought to destroy Rayne, but that comes later. Anyway, Ayla was sent to Zaerts, the major (and only) magic school in the area between Tenaria and Ashr’alan. Solice wanted her daughter to be safe; however, she wanted to keep her close as well. By the age of nine, Ayla had finished with her schooling and met a traveling mercenary, she gathered information from him that Gargauth had finished his battle in Tenaria and was moving towards Ashr’alan. This was an even bigger threat because in Maxima City, the capital of Ashr’alan, the Solamnic Knights were battling the Knights of Takhisis, for a long time. Ayla decided she would go there and help. When she reached the capital, she found that it had been destroyed by many battles that had taken place there. She also found a dying knight named Siriath. From here on she met other Solamnic Knights: Dain, Jareth, Kethry, and Mariah. She healed Siriath and he thanked her, then asked her to come along with their battle. These were the soon to be first generation of the Thornes. Rennard was on the side of evil, however. This battle between good and evil had finally given way when a Solamnic Knight named Simkin had found to be partners with the Lady of the Thorn, Lillith. Simkin had run off with the evil and soon after, the King of Maxima asked the remaining Solamnic Knights to be his personal assassins. They all agreed. Ayla had left. While she was away most of the knights aside from Mariah had passed away. She had seven children, while Kethry had Neaira and Rennard had Creg. Mariah had Dellan, Patrick, Arthren, Reno and Adam. Dellan had adopted Keely into the family because she was an elite bodyguard. Eventually, after seven years, Ayla returned, she was sixteen. Mariah’s children had grown up and Rainor had passed away. Mariah remembered Ayla from the past and invited her to stay, but Ayla was very quiet around her children and never really talked much. Dellan was her only friend, so to speak because he was good with handling women. Soon, he introduced her to Patrick. It was love at first sight, for him, but Ayla became attached after being around him for over a year. Dellan suggested to Patrick that he asked Ayla to become a member of the family, in a meaningful way. A couple weeks after that statement, Patrick asked Ayla to marry him. They married and had a child, his name was Daelin, but he disappeared for a long time, with Patrick. Ayla never saw Patrick again, but Daelin had returned as an Arch Mage with Crystallord and Mozes Lightedge. Ayla would never really know what happened to Patrick, but at least, in Daelin’s words, he didn’t go missing in vain. He did not succumb to Shai’tan, but instead he gave himself to a Holy god, that would protect both Ayla and Daelin. Daelin wandered alone for quite some time before meeting Crystallord and Mozes. Crystallord took him under his wing and eventually, like his mother, he became adept in magic. However, Daelin eventually gave up most of his shadow magic and came into the realm of the holy and astral magic. He eventually became a priest and he eventually left Maxima looking for a higher purpose in life, leaving Ayla alone. Ayla is rarely seen around the estate, and if she is, she doesn’t say much or she places bad ideas in the younger Thornes’ minds in order to shield them from the pain that they will eventually obtain from Shai’tan.
