History
Born in Maxima, from Shahar and some unknown father, Ranevela stared her destiny here. She was three by the time the Thornes were developed enough to be recognized and respected by surrounding clans and countries. At this point they were Special Forces for the king of Maxima. The only close friend Ranevela had among the family was Vaplu, Takkarra’s son. They grew up together until his mother died and his father took Vaplu away. After he was taken, a war broke out between the Thornes and the sinister Gargauth. They were outnumbered until the Watyr family stepped in. They were close friends and allies of the family. Some Thornes and Watyrs were wiped out because of Gargauth’s forces and because of Shai’tan, the father of lies. After the war ended, the Thornes were becoming even more corrupted as the time went on. Then Neaira stepped in and killed most of the diseased Thornes. Ranevela seemed, to herself, that she was one of the only Thornes that was diseased, besides her little brother Kelam. She decided that it was time for both of the Aquathornes to move to a safer location. Kelam was eleven by then and he still wanted to go with her. They settled down near Aquaria, a safe place because their allies, the Watyrs resided there. After awhile, Ranevela decided that Kelam could take care of himself, she had unfinished business then. Kelam was adept in magical attributes and that was feared greatly back then. Ranevela was one of the few Sorceress Knights of the time besides Macil Blackbane, only he was a Sorcerer Knight. She had found Neaira waiting for more corrupted Thornes to come back, however none came, this is when Ranevela joined forces with Neaira, only she didn’t kill as much as Neaira did. Eventually Ranevela gave her the nickname Valkyrie, a collector of lost souls. Around this time, more people begin to come to live the “happy” life in the destroyed city of Maxima. She could never figure out why, but . . . Synic came back around this point. The reason he left to begin with was because of Kiriya’s deceitful mind. She basically controlled him back then when he killed Treylis Silverthorne. That was one of Neaira’s closer friends; eventually she adopted that name instead of her mother’s. Treylis was the younger sister of Ranevela’s close friend, Nelryn. She had Banak to thank for preserving Adam’s sanity a little longer. The three Thornes decided together that it was time for a new generation, non blood of course… They began to pick random people to make the Thorne name unshamed again. However, it became even more shamed than before. A war in the family broke out, on one side, the “Pure” Thornes, on the other, the “Tainted” Thornes. The three knew they had failed and began to adopt a new plan. In the middle of their thoughts, one of the older “Legend” Thornes had returned. By this time, Synic had gone by another name, that of Oenslayer Blackthorne. The “legend” that returned was name Oenslayer Bloodthorne and he didn’t like the idea of some lesser Thorne having his name. He told Synic that they could either fight or he could change his name. Ranevela told him not to fight because the Bloodthorne was scum anyway. From that point on he changed his name back to Synic Shadowthorne, taking his mother’s last name instead of his shameful father. After this point in time, the idea came from a friend of theirs, Alkiya Tarsonis, that they would build an empire in the skies. The three thought about her idea and went for it. With the help of Alkiya, they eventually had it complete. By this time, the earth was even worse for the Thornes
all hated each other.
