History: When Henry McCoy's father was involved in a nuclear accident while working at a nuclear power plant, little did he know his son would be born a mutant. Hank's mutation was evident from birth since he was endowed with massive hands and feet, but they were not his only attributes. Growing up, Hank excelled at school in many subjects, and also displayed natural prowess and agility in sports. It was this, (and his charm ), that won the love of his peers and teachers becoming a star football player and student in high school. It was about this time that Prof. Charles Xavier discovered his existence, he invited him to attend his school of higher learning. After graduating, Hank took up teaching as well as gaining his medical doctorate. However he began to mutate further into his blue furred form. He resisted this change through chemistry and force of will as he was afraid of losing his mental state in the change. Eventually with the help of his former teacher Professor Xavier and the X-Men, he was able to keep his sanity and wits while mutating into his current form. He uses an image inducer when he has to go out in public.
