"...did...you see what I saw, Auspexeth?" Minaeya asked her dragon uncertainly.

The two dragons fighting, one black and one gold? Auspexeth questioningly replied.

"Yes...if you call those dragons. They had scales and one of them reminded me of a past candidate before you found me, Auspexeth."

The remaining one seems harmless, though. In fact I think he would make a good candidate, do you see anything?

Minaeya looked through the trees at the seemingly young man who stood there. Yes, she could see his aura...but it was odd. Instead of being perfectly clear it swirled with all manner of colors! "Colors...lots of colors!" Minaeya said, incredibly surprised. "But I agree...I think he might have what it takes to ride a dragon." The night greenrider moved through the trees towards the man.

"Excuse me," the dragonrider said to the strange man. Darreon simply turned and looked at her, then his gaze went to her dragon.

"Yes?" he asked.

"I saw you change from a gold dragon into a man, but both my dragon and I think you would still make a good candidate for a dragon at Ryslen Weyr. Would you be willing to stand?"

Darreon stared at the young woman for a few moments, evidently rather confused but then it dawned on him. He was on Pern where his granddaughter had Impressed her little white, Faith. At what seemed like a long time of thinking, though it was little more than a few moments he grinned. "I'd be delighted." A dragon, what a wonderful idea for a companion for his lonely life!
