Jump Rope

This game is found in Alexandria. The object it is simple, jump the rope as many times as you can. To do so, you have to press X every time a "!" appears over the characters head. There are some pretty good prizes that you can win from this game. You can play it during the beginning of disc 1 and during disc 3 and 4 when either Vivi or Eiko are in your party.

Feed the Moogle Family

Along your journey, you come across several Kupo Nuts. When you aquire one, go to Gizmaluke's Grotto and give it to the Moogle couple there, and you will receive a gift in return.


Stellazzio Coins

Located all around the world are 13 coins, know as Stellazio coins. These coins are extremely rare. In Treno, you will find Queen Stella, who is collecting these coins, and giving valuable items to those who bring her the coins. These are the locations of the coins:

Aries-Dali's Windmill
Taurus-Behind Treno's item shop in the slums
Gemini-Throw 130 gil into the fountain at Treno's entrance
Cancer-Behind the overturned cart near the entrance of Burmecia
Leo-Near the statue of Neptune at Alexandria
Virgo-In the Black Mage Village's Inn
Libra-Madain Sari's fountain
Scorpio-Below the spring in Quan's Dwelling
Sagittarius-Around the Gysahl Pickle cart in Lindblum (during reconstruction)
Capricorn-In the water to the right of Daguerreo's entrance
Aquarius-In a chest around the entrance of Ipsen's Castle
Pisces-In a chest inside the Invincible airship
Ophiuchus-Once you have collected 12 coins, return to the place where you found Scorpio, and search the area


Treno Auction

One of most popular events in Treno is the auction, which is held in a giant mansion owned by a man name the King. In the auction, you can purchase several key items and rare equipment. Some of the key items can be resold to people around Treno:

Une's Mirror-Sold to: Nobleman by Cafe' | Price at most: 15000
Doga's Artifact-Sold to: Scholar in Synth shop | Price at most: 10000
Griffin's Heart-Sold to: Adventurer by Cafe' | Price at most: 10000
Rat Tail-Sold to: Adventurer by Cafe' | Price at most: 25000

Tip: Some of the people to whom you resell your items to will make second offers if you turn down their first one.


Frog Catching

Once Quina joins your party, you can go frog hunting. In Qu's Marsh is a frog pond, and every time you enter the frog pond with Quina, he will ask if he can catch some frogs. Every time he catches a frog, it adds to over-all number of frogs he's caught. When you get certain amounts of frogs, Quale will show up and congradulate Quina on his/her progress, and then give you a prize for your hard work:

Mr. Morrid's Coffee

At the Observatory Mountain near Dali, there is a man looking for three very rare coffees:

Moccha Coffee-Found at the South Gate entrance near Chocobo Forest.
Kirman Coffee-Found on Eiko's back porch in Madain Sari
Burman Coffee-Found in the Mayor's house at Dali (You have to go during the card tournament in Treno, because this is the only time in the game when the mayor of Dali is not home. When you arrive at his house, there is a boy sleeping on the sofa, so you'll have to move slowly while walking. Search the desk and you'll find the Mini-Brahne. In the stove is the Mayor's Key. Leave the Mayor's house once you've aquired this, and go to the windmill. Use the key on the locked door. In the room behind the door, you will find a chest. Once again use the key, and inside you will find 30,000 Gil. Check the chest a second time and you will find the Burman Coffee.)

Once you give the man all three coffees, he says that he'll mail you the Mini-Prima Vista. You will find it at the Tantalus hide-out in Lindblum.


Racing Hippaul

During the beginning of disc 3, Vivi will be walking through Alexandria. On the streets you will come across a character named Hippaul. Talk to his mother, and she will ask you to race Hippaul, because all he does is play cards and she wants him to get some exercise. To race, press the Circle and Square button back and forth. Hippaul gains levels the more you race him. After every ten levels, Hippauls mother gives you a card:

Level 10-Wyerd Card
Level 20-Carrion Worm Card
Level 30-Tantarian Card
Level 40-Armstrong Card
Level 50-Ribbon Card
Level 60-Nova Dragon card
Level 70-Genji Card
Level 80-Athlete Queen (Key Item)


Renaming Characters

First, you must aquire the Namingway Card, found in Kuja's Palace and also won during the card tournament in Treno from Mario. Take the card to Daguerreo, and talk to a man walking around on the mid level. He'll ask to see the Namingway card, and then offers to give your playable characters new names.


Treasure Hunting Rank

Through out the game, you build up your Treasure Hunting Rank by collecting various rare items, finding chocograph treasures, and opening treasure chests. You can check you rank by talking to the four-armed girl in the Treno Inn and the four-armed man in Daguerreo. Once you have achieved Rank S, talk to the four-armed man, and he will run out of the room to the Daguerreo's entrance. Talk to him there, and he will give you Rank S Award (Key Item).


Excalibur

The Excalibur is a powerful sword used by Steiner. To aquire this sword, go to Daguerreo and talk to an old man near the Library's Inn. He'll ask you to find an item called the Magical Fingertip. This item can be bought at the Treno Auction. In order for the Magical Fingertip to show up in the auction, you have to make sure that you have sold the Doga's Artifact, Rat Tail, Griffin's Heart, and Une's Mirror. Once you've aquired the Magical Fingertip, take it back to the old man in Daguerreo and give it to him. In return, he will give you Excalibur.


Excalibur II

This is probably the most difficult challenge in the entire game. To obtain the rare weapon known as Excalibur II, you must reach the Terrace in Memoria within twelve game hours. I have yet to complete this task.


Hades Synthesis Shop

In Memoria, there is a room that looks like it is underwater. Quina will think he's really underwater and try to swim during this scene. Go behind the corals, and keep tapping X while walking around. Eventually a voice will demand that you leave or die. Continue the conversation, and you will be initiated into a battle with Hades. Once you defeat Hades, who is quite a difficult enemy, he will tell you to bring to Pumice Pieces to him and he'll forge them into the Pumice, which allows Garnet to use the summon known as Ark. Hades can also synth many other rare items.


Friendly Monsters

At many different locations, you can run into friendly monsters. These monsters ask for something from you, and in return, you receive AP and usually an item. For example, the White Ghost asks for a piece of ore. If you give him a piece of ore, you will receive 10 AP and a hi-potion. Unfortunately, a lot of these monsters are found in places where monsters that are difficult to beat live. Here are the locations of all the friendly monsters:

Brown Mu-Location: Plains between the Ice Cavern and Dali | Wants: 1 Ore
White Ghost-Location: Plains around Treno | Wants: 1 Ore
Color Ladybug-Location: Forest around Black Mage Village | Wants: 2 Ores
Green Yeti-Location: Bigger forest outside Madain Sari | Wants: 2 Ores
Green Nymph-Location: Forest near Iifa Tree | Wants: 3 Ores
Purple Jabberwock-Location: Forest directly east of Oelivert | Wants: Emerald
Green Feather Circle-Location: Lost Continent | Wants: Moonstone
Rainbow Garuda-Location: East on plateau above Gizamaluke's Grotto
Friendly Yan-Location: Forest on Vile Island


Ragtime Mouse

Among many forests in on the world map, you may encounter a creature called Ragtime Mouse. This character asks you true or false questions, and if the answer is right, you receive a prize of 1000 gil. You will also be graded on all the questions you answer through out the game. Here are some of the questions he may ask you:

Blackjack

At the end of the game, wait until the credits are over. When the screen that says "The End" appears, enter the following sequence of buttons on your controller: R2, L1, R2, R2, Up, X, Right, Circle, Down, Triangle, L2, R1, R2, L1, Square, Square, Start. You will then be initiated into a game of Blackjack
