History

8 moons was once a small coastal village to the south, where modern day Dasai Harbor resides. The town was peaceful and quiet, ruled over by a just and kind mayor who was respected and loved by the populace.

Then the seed was born..

The Dasai family was well respected among 8 moon citizens. They owned 2 shops in the town square, an armory and item store. The Dasai's were without children till a wonderful spring day when Ellyana, wife of Trent, was told she was pregnant with their first child. The pregnancy was steeped in complications, Ellyana almost lost the child countless times, and nearly died herself on several occasions. Local clergy warned of the un-borns childs prophecy, saying the boy soon to be born would grow like a parasite on society, draining the life and freedom from all in his path.

The child was born in late fall, and named Embrosius Nero Dasai. Ellyana was struck with a debilitating mental disease only a week after her son was born, and soon took her own life. Young Nero was raised thereafter by his father Trent, who was strict and hard on the young boy, who seemed to never be listening, instead he would look the opposite direction and speak to himself in a quiet voice.

As Nero neared 10 years old, his father seemed to be catching the same odd mental condition that befell his mother. His father was found dead in his bed on Nero's 10th birthday, Nero was nowhere to be found. For 8 years the people of 8 moons pressed on, forgetting the terrible tragedy that descended upon the Dasai family.

The towns beloved mayor was found one morning headless, his blood spilling across the silk sheets and staining the fine rugs below. Written in blood on the south wall were the words "Emperor Dasai".

Enraged, the townspeople formed a search party and scoured the lands around the village. It didn't take long for them to come upon the Mayor's head upon a pike, and out of the forest to the east, spilled a bloodthirsty mob of hundreds, who easily overpowered the search party, as a maniacal laugh echoed upon the wind. The mob then turned on the small town, mercilessly slaughtering man/woman and child. Old or young, none were spared. The peaceful streets soon flowed with crimson, wails of pain filled the air.

In the aftermath, the mob stood un-opposed, and un-touched. After regrouping and recruiting even more madmen and hired killers, the newly formed army headed to all points, expanding their Emperor's Empire.

The Emperor Embrosius Nero Dasai, had an odd hypnotic affect over his men, often commanding them to their certain death, without even a flich from the soldier. With every victory the empire grew, as did it's slaves, captures and amusement. The capital city of Empire city stands as a testament to the Emperor's hold over the populace, every inch of the city is sparkling clean, and peaceful, citizens go about their daily duties out of complete fear or reverance. Its said that there are only 2 types of people in 8 moons, Those that would readily die for their emperor, and those who fear death from him.
