The Maximals fought with the robots and eventually overcame these robots. The Maximals continued on and into the engine room, where they began to repair the ship. Some Maximals went to the bridge and began repairs there.
While they were repairing the ship, the ship’s scanners picked up a signal in Cybertron’s atmosphere, and it began firing on the ship. The Maximals activated the ship and took up into the atmosphere. The two ships then began a dogfight, where both ships were damaged and fell back to the surface of Cybertron. The Maximals did a scan of the ship, and found that is was guarded by a forcefield, but there was a break in the field. Oscillate, Blaize, and Razorwing infiltrated the ship and shut down the shield, letting the Maximals in. They then found out that it was a Predacon ship and a large group of Predacons inside.
The Maximals engaged the Predacons while Zero, Blaize, and Essex moved toward the bridge of the ship. When they arrived, they found more Predacons, but they were discovered by Rakmen,a genetically enhanced Drocan, captain of the ship. He sent the Predacons on Zero, Blaize, and Essex, while the other Maximals finished up their battle in the cargo hold.
All the Maximals eventually made their way to the bridge and joined in on the fight against Rakmen. More Predacons came and the Maximals split up. During the fight, Rakmen lost an arm, but due to his genetic enhancement, he grew it back, and the arm grew into another Rakmen. The Maximals continued fighting against Rakmen, and they began to turn the tide. No willing to accept defeat, Rakmen ordered the activation of Project: Cataclysm. That activation of the countdown sent a sonic wave across Cybertron, which destroyed the second Rakmen.
The Maximals were beating Rakmen when the roof of the ship was ripped open and Megatron, freed from his Drocan prison, descended into the ship. Then Project: Cataclysm activated. The sudden surge of energy destroyed Rakmen, and knocked out the Maximals and Megatron and the ship was filled and surrounded by a white aura.
The Maximals awoke in the ship, and found Rakmen dead. They exited the ship and found that they were not on Cybertron. Just then a group of Transformers came up to the and their leader introduced himself as Megatron, and the Tricons.
