Physical Description:
-Vehicle Mode: Shayd has a Cybertronian heavy jet fighter vehicle mode. From an aerial view, looking down at Shayd, the main body has an oval shape with his beam cannon positioned at the center. From the front, the nose cone and cockpit extend, looking much like the an arrowhead, where it comes to a point at the front angles out for a bit, curves towards the tip, then back into the main body. On each side of the nose cone is a fin, shaped like the ones on the Armada Starscream. Where the neck and main body of the jet meet, two cylindrical air intake vents are located. As soon as the intake vents merge into the main body, a small fin angles out and back from the main body and they connect to the wings of the jet, which are shaped similar to the blades of the Batarang from Batman Beyond. The outside of the wings extend back and curve in until the tips have just passed the main body and are about 7 ft away from the body before they curve in to meet the main body. From the back of the main body, a rounded triangle is there, the two ends connecting to the back of the wings. Just under where the wings and triangle meet, the two jet thrusters stick out. The body is colored a medium-dark gray and it trimmed with black lining. On the underside of the jet, the chain gun sticks out from beneath the cockpit and on the tops of the wings near the main body are Decepticon insignias, painted black. The wingspan is 30 ft. while the jet is 45. ft in length and is capable of carrying one Decepticon, of large of lower size, in the cockpit.
-Robot Mode: His legs take on a rounded box shape, but two black fins extend out from his knees slightly and his black feet have the jet thrusters in the soles. The legs connect to the rounded box shaped pelvis, which has a black’belt’ trim around it. On his back, the wings from his jet mode stick down and out slightly and are connected to his back just above the waist, Decepticon insignias facing forward. His torso has a ‘V’ shape and the nose cone from the jet mode flips down onto his chest to hide his pocket of sub space and reveal his head. He has a black shoulder pad over each shoulder that starts between his neck and shoulder, angles up slightly before angling down to protect his shoulders. On the outside of each upper arm is an air intake valve from the jet mode, colored black. Once again, his arms take on a rounded box appearance and slim down as they meet the wrist. On the left forearm is his tool gauntlet, made up of a couple of various sized compartments and a control panel on top, the entire thing colored black. His hands have four fingers, one thumb, but the right hand has two slots on the top so his battle claws, shaped like the Predator’s, extend out. On his back, on the lower portion, is a metal sheath that extends up slightly and holds his giant battle axe. Shayd’s head is shaped like Galvatron’s, where it has the crown, but he also has a mouth plate, like Prime or Soundwave. His face is colored gray while the crown is colored black. His body is mostly the medium-dark gray with black objects or trim, but his optics are crimson red.

Weapons:
-Battle Axe: Shayd’s main weapon in robot mode, this is a double-headed axe that measures 5 ft. across blade to blade and a 10 ft. handle. The axe was fashioned from one solid piece of titanium and decoratively plated in the experimental tritanium, which has 1.5 times the strength of titanium. The butt of the handle is shaped like a rounded hourglass and has a chain and ring attached to the end, allowing Shayd to throw the axe but keep it attached to his person, but this chain is removable if desired. Above the hourglass butt the handle is bound in leather for five feet. This is where Shayd usually grips the axe. The tip of the handle juts out then back in to form a large and sharp spear-like tip. The blades of the axe are crescent shaped and fully attached to the handle. They are decorated by golden runes and the edges were cut by precision lasers to allow for maximum sharpness, allowing the blades to dig into most metals and armors when the correct amount of power and force is applied. Shayd is so skilled with his axe that he can handle it with only one hand, ignoring even its size. When not in use, Shayd sheaths this in a metal sheath on his back. But when he transforms to his jet mode, it is put into his pocket of sub space.
-Chaingun: His only weapon available in both modes. In his jet mode, the chaingun is located under the nosecone/cockpit, where most of it is hidden within the jet, but the tip of the gun sticks out slightly. In this mode, it looks like a gatling gun, but in robot mode, it looks a bit different. Think Rhinox’s chaingun, but without the big spiked balls and colored gray with black trim. Then add the end of a shotgun on the back, but enlarge it to make it slightly proportional. Think the chaingun with a shotgun, minus the barrel, added to the back to take up half the height and is positioned at the top with a trigger similar to a shotgun’s but modified to fit the needs. This chaingun fires 20 solid titanium slugs a second, able to tear into all but heavy armor and metal, giving Shayd a bit of recoil, but not much. When not in use in robot mode, he places it into his pocket of sub space, which can be found under the nosecone on his chest.
-Battle Claws: A set of two titanium claws built into the top of his left hand. These claws can retract in his forearm through two slits on the top of the hand, much like Wolverine from X-Men. These claws are shaped like of the Predator’s, where they are slightly arced and the tops are smooth, but teethed. These are not designed to do major damage, so are used mainly for defense and other different situations, but they are able to pierce weaker metals and armors with ease.
-Beam Cannon: Available only in jet mode, this is his ‘big gun’. Shaped similar to Tankor’s cannon, it is solid in the back end but then breaks off into three prongs so to say. Colored gray with black trim, this cannon measure ten ft. in length and is found on the top of his jet mode. The cannon fires a concentrated pulse of ionic beam energy, provided by am ionic battery inside Shayd. If concentrated enough, a single blast is capable of blasting a clean hole through a bot with heavy armor. But most of the time, Shayd just powers it up enough to topple over the biggest bots and leave a little structural damage. The cannon can swivel 360 degrees, allowing for maximum usage, and is stored in his pocket of sub space when in robot mode.

Equipment:
-Tool Gauntlet: Found around his left forearm, this is a rather bulky, but efficient computerized gauntlet. All around the forearm and compartments of various sizes, holding the different tools, such as welding torches, laser precision knifes and screwdrivers. On the top, there is a large panel that, when not in use, is protected by a titanium cover. This panel has a small LCD display screen and the standard ten digit numerical pad with two arrow buttons, up and down. When Shayd inputs a certain code or presses the arrow buttons, the compartments rotate around so that the compartment summoned stops on the bottom of his forearm. The end facing the hand then opens up and the tool is ejected into Shayd’s awaiting hand. Use for a variety of purposes.
-Internal Scanning System: Built into his head and optical systems, this is a system made up or the normal scanning mode, infrared scanning and energy emission scanning, giving Shayd an advantage over some of the others out there. However, this system does have a few bugs in it, so it sometimes reads that a plant or a pile of rocks is giving off heat or energy, but this only occurs 2 out of 50 times.
-Comm System: Built into his vocal and audio systems, this is a simple comms systems that had a medium proximity range, but it has a link to the Fatalis’ comms station, which is far more expansive, but he doesn’t always take advantage of this.
-Flight System: Like most Decepticon jets, Shayd has a jet thruster system which enables him to fly. The thrusters can be found at the tail end of the jet and in the bottom of his feet in robot mode. Works just like a normal jet. Think Starscream.

Personality: Shayd is what a Decepticon might call the ideal commander. He is ruthless, sadistic, scheming, cunning and intelligent all in one. As a commander, he sees himself as the boss, of course, but also recognizes the value of his troops, so he is always trying to help them be the best they can be by busting their skidplates every chance he gets. And it’s because of this mentality that he will not rush blindly into anything. He takes the time to study the situation, makes his troops study the situation, and then come up with the best route together, though he has the last word. He believes that when someone does something right or exceptionally well, they deserve to be given a reward, and likewise, if they fail, they should be punished. He doesn’t always follow this idea, but it’s good to state this every once in a while to help motivate the troops. When Shayd is dealing with someone who has been captured or has failed him miserably, he will stop at nothing to get the words that he wants to hear out of them, and only Shayd knows what those words are, so these ‘interrogations’ can last for hours on end sometimes. In his own mind, he sees himself as a military genius. Though not the greatest, he is quite exceptional and his troops have seen this and respect him for this. More often than not, his strategies have led to numerous victories in many different campaigns. And it would go without saying that Shayd’s cunning and intelligence is second only to Megatron’s, but his viciousness may surpass any others. Some of the things that he does cannot even be described, nor should they be. They are solely meant to set examples, which need to be done every now and then. It would only be fair to say that Shayd is Megatron with a little Starscream and Optimus Prime mixed in.

Shayd has two goals as commander of the Omega Squadron: 1) To whip his squad into the best damn unit the Decepticon army has ever seen, greater then even Megatron and his lackies. And 2) To capture as many Minicons as possible to further his squad’s power and potential. He will stop at nothing to accomplish these goals and has even placed them above the orders given to him by Megatron. Speaking of Megatron, Shayd views him as quite possibly the greatest leader of all time, but the aerialist has ambitions and abilities that supercede Megatron and he desires to show his superiority over him to all. But for now, he keeps his desires to himself as he bides the time. Unlike Megatron, Shayd doesn’t just see his soldiers as mindless drones and doesn’t give a rat’s ass what they think. He values them for their various skills and abilities and he wants them to be able to think for themselves because they will not always be able to depend on him or someone else for the rest of their lives. He is willing to do all he can for his troops, but he is not the kind of guy that would stand in the line of fire for another. If he sees one his troops struggling, he’ll give his help once, but if they keep struggling, he’ll slag them himself, calling them dead weight. This is part of him that is always with him, from his prison days. You wanted to get something done in there, you either did it yourself or you did it with others who can get the job done. Plain and simple.

Shayd views himself as one of the best aerialists of all time, and he may not be too far off. He might not be the fastest in the air, but his experience, weaponry and ruthless tactics have become renowned throughout all of Cybertronian space, and have earned him the alias “The Air Devil”. He has grown fond of this title and is always willing to prove to others why he is called that. And with this title and skills has come a rivalry between himself and Starscream, both considered the best aerialists in all of Cybertron’s history. The verbal, and sometimes physical battles that these two get into can be annoying to most, but Shayd feels he needs to prove he can best Starscream anyday. Within his Omega Squadron, he has formed a team of Seekers and has made it another goal of his to turn these soldiers into the deadliest and best damn aerialists ever to grace Cybertron. So he views his Seekers as peers, not subordinates, which gives them a better team mentality and execution.

Like everyone should, Shayd loves a good challenge and is game for everything at least once. He also loves the hunt. He feels that direct combat is for the weak and that the strong hunt down their opponents, playing with their minds a little before destroying them. He revels in the thrill of hunting an opponent of skills and abilities par to his, making the hunt even more challenging to him. Besides commanding, flying and hunting, Shayd’s other “hobby” is messing around with computer systems or creating some new program/simulation to help with training or something like that. He also sees this skill as a hall pass to mess around with Minicon circuitry, to rewire them as he sees fit, all for the sake of gaining more power.

History: Shayd was brought online during the beginning of the battles between the Decepticons and the Autobots. He was a Decepticon, but he stayed out of the war, taking to the life of a thief, mainly rewiring electronic credit systems, stuff like that. He lived this way for numerous stellar cycles, making it along through life until he was finally captured. He was sent to a local Autobot military brig, where Shayd spent the next 50 stellar cycles of his life, becoming harder and harder with each passing day, hating the Autobots and learning to do it or die. While inside, he hooked up with a few other Decepticons and they formed a little gang, where Shayd become the so called leader. It didn’t take long for his gang to take hold of everything inside, without the guards or warden knowing it. Eventually though, a new prisoner rose up and challenged Shayd. This led to a brawl where Shayd ended up ripping the challenger’s head off and keeping it as a trophy. From then on, the Autobots kept a closer eye on Shayd.

The 50th stellar cycle rolled around and the war between Decepticon and Autobot really broke out. Shayd tried to stage a revolt in the prison, but it was quickly quelled and Shayd was put into solitary confinement. He was only in there for a few days when a large Decepticon battalion attacked the installment, which in turn caused a large scale revolt inside. One of Shayd’s ‘friends’ busted him out of solitary and, with their leader back, the prisoners were able to overcome most of the Autobot forces without much help from the Decepticon forces. When the battle was over, the commanders of the Decepticon battalion approaches the prisoners and offered them the chance to join the army and fight against the Autobot oppressors. Shayd thought for a moment before agreeing, so many of the other prisoners agreed. But most of these prisoners had little military training, so they were sent to the closest training facility and put through basic training and stuff like that. While training, Shayd displayed his natural flight abilities and capabilities as a leader, so after training finished, they sent Shayd, along with a small squadron of his own to the front lines. It was during this time that he was given the nickname ‘Air Devil’ because he brutally ripped through the Autobot defenses from the air, giving his troops on the ground the opportunity to plow through and achieve numerous victories. Eventually though, he felt that he could use some more training and knowledge, so he went back to the training facilities and began his training in specialized areas, such as weapons, technical and strategy. He spent ten stellar cycles in the training facility, working his skidplate off everyday until he felt he was ready to enter the battle again. It was about this time that the Minicons were first seen.

After learning about the Minicons, a large scale war broke out across Cybertron and Shayd was once again placed in command of another squadron and sent into battle. After winning a strategic campaign against the Autobots, Megatron took notice of Shayd and had him placed under his direct command. Shayd was flattered and was soon fighting along the best of the best of the Decepticon forces, and he was improving his skills more and more. Eventually though, jealousy arose between the two greatest aerialists, Shayd and Starscream, and this led to many quarrels between the two. It was at the same time that the Decepticons and Autobots agreed that the Minicons were too powerful for either to have, so all were sent away from Cybertron, but the battles still continued. Many stellar cycles past and, having heard enough between Shayd and Starscream, removed Shayd from his direct command and sent him back down, giving him command of another squad.

During one of the battles, Shayd led his squadron into battle, but his squad was picked apart because they couldn’t work as a team and they didn’t have the skills to get the job done. So he abandoned them in the battle and left, bent on creating his own squadron. He spent the next stellar cycle searching the Decepticon ranks for the best qualified and, once he gathered his chosen ones, he took up the name of the Omega Squadron and they were thrown into the battle once again.
