Physical Description:
-Vehicle Mode:
-Alternate Mode: Reconfiguring his Gunship mode, Spanner can become a rather small ring, that resembles almost a strewn out Cobra Gunship. In this mode, Spanner has the ability to teleport himself and up to two other people a maximum distance of 250 kilometers away from their starting point. He is defenseless in this mode, not to mention stationary.
-Robot Mode: Spanner is a thin Vehicon, but by no means a push over. The Cockpit of his Vehicle Mode makes up his two feet and legs, while his arms have two 'wings' on it (The wings on the Gunship). The arms end in points with three stubby claws protruding from them. On his shoulders, four long tubes (His missile Pods) sit. The tail of his gunship mode has seperated in half, and sweeps out from his back like two wings, ending in a point just a few inches above his head. His chest is comprised of the landing gear of the Gunship folded in on itself and the cannons at the bottom of the gunship. On his back, the Propeller shoots out in a straight line, thus giving him a second set of 'wings' on his back, giving the image as though he has the ability to fly in Robot Mode (Which he doesn't.)
His head is angular in nature, but the face is a flat piece. On that piece is a viewscreen which translates a virtual image of a face with the outline of two optics, a flat nose, and a mouth.
He wears two Vehicon Symbols on either shoulder (They appear on the back quarter panels in his Gunship Mode).

Abilities:
-Invention: Spanner is a genius with an almost McGuyver abilities. When he's not on a mission, he's typically found in the factories or junk piles, tinkering.
-Teleportation: Spanner's other 'inate' ability is Teleportation. As long as he is familiar with the area, and its within 250 kilometers, he can teleport there. However, this drains him somewhat and is only utilized as 'quick escapes' from sticky situations or, when the situation requires, insert himself into enemy territory. Only in his Spacebridge Node form can he utilize this ability to take others with him.
Weapons:
-Rocket Payload (All Rockets are Single Shot then require reloading)
-38 Dummy Missiles-
These make up the main arsenal at Spanner's command. They tend to have unpredictable flight paths, meaning they aren't used in anything but the opening barrage of the battle. Spanner rarely uses these in Robot Mode, or when teammates are around.
These Dummy Missiles take up the larger Missile "Pod" on both wings. (19 per pod)
-8 Heat Seekers-
Like they say, these missiles are seek and destroy on heat seekers. Weapon of Choice in Robot Mode, they are located in the top and bottom of the smaller "Pod" on both wings. (Four per pod)
-6 Napalm Rockets-
Short Range, located as the middle three slots on the smaller pods. These specially made rockets explode on impact and have a sticky substance that will attach itself to almost anything. Spanner uses these even less then he does the Dummy Rockets.
-Low Power Machine Cannon: Double Barreled, 180 degree firing arc cannons located just below the cockpit in Gunship mode, and on his chest in Robot Mode. They have a built in ammo replicator so technically, it never runs out of ammo, but they are extremely low powered and can't do anything but annoy and slow down any bot other then a drone. Spanner's form and design is to get in, unleash hell, and get back out again, after all.
Equipment:
-5 Apache Drones: These five salvaged Apache Drones Spanner discovered constitute his host body's former horde. Armed with nothing more then 8 Dummy Missiles and Lower Powered Machine Cannons, Spanner has rigged the drones to transmit the same energy and spark signature as he does. Thus, he uses them primarily for decoys. They are hardly a fighting force on their own, and now almost patch work, due to the extensive repairs Spanner much make on them.
Personality: Spanner, once an innocent Civilian Transformer on Cybertron during the Great War, has suffered much since that time. Thus, his return in the body of a Former Megatronian Loyalist is almost fitting, as Spanner isn't that much of a nice guy anymore.
He doesn't have many friends, nor does he wish them, and tends to treat his comrades coolly and with almost disdane. He commonly calls them "Children". That being said, if he is forced into combat his is very considerate of his comrades, and does what he can to back them up without being harmed by his powerful, but dangerous, payload.
He rarely complains about anything other then his working conditions, mainly a facade on his part to portray the image of a bot who relies on no one but himself. Truth be told, Spanner is anything but. Subconciously longing for someone to help him in getting over his own inner demons, and bitter eternal loneliness.
History: Spanner was, at one time, a peaceful, non-faction oriented scientist and inventor. His largest dream was to create a bridge, a Space Bridge for all intents and purposes, linking one world to another through the vastness of space.
It was during this time of turmoil and strife, Spanner found himself...or rather his skills as an inventor...desired by both the Autobots and Decepticons. Both sides persisted in enlisting Spanner's aid, but Spanner refused politely every time.
Then, the Governor of Polyhex and Ruler of Darkmount...a cruel tyrant named Straxus...recieved a message from the Decepticons on Earth. Things had changed. Spanner's whole existance in the eyes of the tyrant had changed.
Straxus ordered Spanner seized to work on the Space Bridge to connect Earth to Cybertron. At first, Spanner was elated. Until Spanner began issuing complaints that the current Decepticon Artificial Intellegence systems couldn't handle running the Space Bridge, and Spanner would have to create a new one from stratch.
Straxus, never one for his patience or grace, had a simplier solution. He had Spanner's body and mind integrated into the construction of the Space Bridge. Spanner BECAME his own greatest work. In this form, Spanner did all he could to prevent the Decepticons from going to Earth.
After the Autobots failed to destroy him, Spanner withdrew more and more into the role of a tool more then an individual. It had become his lot in life, one that he resented to no end, but accepted since there really was nothing he could do. Eventually, through a mad Decepticon bid for power, Spanner finally recieved peace as he was destroyed...or so it was thought.
Spanner's Space Bridge body was destroyed, but after constant exposure to the rigors of the sort of space travel, Spanner's spark endured in a tiny piece of the Space Bridge that floated through space. Eventually, Spanner came close enough to Cybertron when it was blown apart in a massive catacylsm. Using what little power he had left, Spanner discovered the innert remains of Vehicon General Crazyhorse and five of his drones. Drawing them into himself, Spanner decided he could use the body as a way to escape his eternal Hell.
Through manipulation of the tiny Transformation gears still available to him, as well as one of the Apache Drone's Spark Extractors, Spanner managed to relocate his Spark into that of Crazyhorse. Who's own dwindling Spark fought fiercely to life.
Deciding on a compromise, Spanner infused his Spark Energies into that of the dwindling Crazyhorse, obtaining Crazyhorse's memories of the past events of Cybertron. Crazyhorse became less a individual personality after the merger and more of a whispering voice in the back of Spanner's head.
Spanner, with his new body and task force, set out through the cosmos, upgrading himself into his current Cobra Gunship mode and staying out of the way of the struggling Vehicon moment. After untold Stellar Cycles away from the Vehicons and their struggle, Spanner has decided the time is right for him to make his presence known again.
After all, what better way to gain revenge against the Decepticons for what they had done to them, then to extract the needed pound of flesh from their unwitting Decendants?
