It measures 50 ft. in length, 20 ft. in width at the main body, and 30 ft. in height. On the side of the main body, there is a wing on each side, similar in design to the original Cyclonus’ wings, but larger. Underneath each wing is a large jet engine, right next to the side of the body, to propel Xerses around. On the bottom of the ship, there are four hover generators, two in front, two in back, and two long slots where large treads can pop out for ground maneuverability. On the back is a large hatch, where two large or three medium or four small Vehicons can enter and be transported. The semi-circle front is cut out in the middle, with a curved center piece connecting the main body to the end of the front. The top of the main body is dome-like and has a hatch on the top, allowing for a medium or small bot to pop out and provide fire. On each side, near the top, is a large, chrome beam cannon. Mainly colored desert brown with little patches of chrome.
-Robot Mode: His body is large and boxish. His legs are shaped like rectangles, with smooth edges, his feet large and slope shaped. He has slightly larger knee joints, shaped like a sphere with a square appearance. His upper legs are also rectangle shaped, and each has a chrome Vehicon insignia on them. There is a hover generator on the back of each upper and lower leg and a wing is attached to the outside of each upper leg.. His torso starts as a long rectangle, colored chrome, but is topped with a large desert brown chest, extending out in the center of the top to a box ending, then the sides sloping down to his sides. His back has portions raised over the shoulder blades, which each have a half of the semi-circle front attached to it and a slight tilt. His shoulders are large, smooth edged boxes, with smaller chrome rectangle-like arms coming out of them. His forearms are desert brown, rectangular, and smooth. His hands are chrome and each has three fingers and a thumb. His beam cannons are mounted on his shoulders, have 90 degree rotation ability, and can be removed. His head is shaped similarly to that of the Leo from Gundam Wing, but colored desert brown with a white visor. Mainly colored desert brown with various portions of chrome.

Abilities:
-Flight: Able to fly in both atmospheric and astral conditions with the aid of hover generators, wings, and jet engines.
Weapons:
-Beam Cannons: Two large, long, chrome cannons. Each fires a large, powerful blast of energy, capable of destroying a small robot with one blast. The cannons are able to combine into one, larger cannon, similar to that of the Wing Zero’s, and has the power to destroy a large building in a single blast. Can only be activated for up to five cycles before energy depletion occurs. Requires recharging after every use. Each are shaped like a tank cannon, but has a large handle near the end and one near the front. On the sides there are connectors which connect the two cannons.
-Electro Clubs: Two silver handles that measure seven inches in length. When he pushes the button on the sides, a two foot electric rod extends. It is neon blue in color and has small lightning bolt dancing around it. The clubs are not very powerful, they just send a jolt of electricity through the bot, one jolt a second. When not in use, these are kept in the compartments in his forearms.
Equipment:
-Comm System: Your standard, everyday comm system.
-Scanner: A built in scanner which can switch between Standard, Infrared, and Night Vision.
Personality: Xerses is more of an idealist than a loyalist. Being the former Maximal Essex, he now sees both sides of the spectrum. He retains the main goal of the Maximals, where as he works and strives for a peaceful coexistence between all Transformers, and between all species of life, but now he sees that the Maximals were worse than Megatron, trying to force a specific life onto all Transformers, without choice. It is not known whether the goal Megatron told Xerses it true or not, but Xerses now strives for a technological balance, offering each Transformer he meets a new life as a Vehicon, but under their own freedom, not under Megatron, although he does offer them that choice as well., but does not force it. He will only attack someone if they attack him first, and he will offer them conversion, but will not hold back if conversion is declined. He is friendly towards any form of Transformers, especially the Vehicons. He sees the Loyalists as his brethren, who sometimes stray from their father, but is willing to set them on the straight path. He sees the Cyber Angels as noble Vehicons who have and do good intentions, like watching over Cybertron, but he does not fully trust them. The Brotherhood of Steel. In reality, he has more respect for these Vehicons than he does for any other, except for Megatron. He sees them as strong-willed Vehicons fighting for the same cause as he is, and would be honored to fight by their side, if needed.
In every situation, he tries to remain calm and usually does, but his temper has and will get the better of him sometimes. He always thinks things out before acting, which proves to be very profitable. His main hobby is writing poetry, mainly about his idea of the future, and he is willing to share his works with any Vehicon who would like to hear it. His other hobby is sculpture, using whatever resources he can find, whether it be clay, metal, plastic, etc. and he usually sculpts small figures of the other Vehicons, then gives them to their respective counterpart.
History: Brought online during the period of peace on Cybertron, Essex chose not to acquire a beast mode, so he could live more like his ancestors, the Autobots. He studied the art of engineering and became a top engineer. He later joined an expedition team and they were sent to explore alien planets. While on an alien planet, he found his war hammer, deep within a cavern. The group then returned to Cybertron, presented their findings to the Council of Elders, and once again became civilians. He then befriended Ace, a wily Maximal. Eventually, Megatron came and released the virus, but few had managed to get away, including Ace and Essex. They then formed the Underground together and recruited Maximals and Predacons alike to fight the oncoming onslaughts of Vehicons. During a battle, Essex disappeared and all Ace could find was his war hammer. He was never found by the Underground.
Essex was found by the Maximal on the planet Droca and returned to Cybertron with the Maximals to fight alongside them. But as Essex fought alongside the Maximals, he grew more and more aware of their tyrannical actions, while they did not. He eventually departed from the Maximals to be on his own. Then, one day, he was captured by the Vehicons and brought before Megatron. Megatron was about to destroy him when suddenly Essex asked to be turned into a Vehicon. Megatron thought about it for a cycle and decided to grant this wish. He began to construct his new body while Megatron preached his mission to Essex, who took it in. His new body was finally completed and his spark transferred . Upon activation, Essex took up the new name of Xerses, trying to leave his Maximal past behind. Then Unicron struck and Xerses was knocked offline in the Giant Head, where he remained, even through the destruction of Cybertron. He was finally brought online by the computer system of the Giant Head, or what remained of it, and began his voyage.
