Anime Quirks
A Second "Chibi"/"SD" Form ( Squashed to half height, head remains the same size; often clumsy and clutzy, but cute! Can take enourmous damage w/out dying, instant healing when distracted by someone/something, pull off mean tricks without getting blamed, and is often mistaken for a child. )
"Tomboy Strength" ( Applies both to women and men; when insulted or embarrassed, a human's strength becomes superhuman, and a superhuman's strength becomes even more super. Usually is only applied to the insulter, as in a punch or throw ... however, can also be used if person's in the middle of an activity that requires strength. )
Sweatdropping ( When surprised, embarrassed, etc., beads of sweat pop up on head; the stronger the feeling, the more sweatdrops appear. Sometimes a big sweatdrop will appear instead -- large enough for the person to grab and smack whoever did something dumb enough to cause such a sweatdrop in the first place. )
Facefault/Facepalm ( Done when expecting something, and getting the unexpected instead. With slight surprise or frustration, face comes down while palm comes up to smack against own forehead. With overwhelming surprise or frustration, entire body falls to the ground, more often than not with face hitting the ground [or anything that happens to be between face and ground, such as when seated at a table] )
Bulletproof Nudity ( Ever notice the shirtless guy with the chain gun [or the scantily clad female ninja], often out in plain sight? And notice how they can take down dozens of uniformed and/or armored guards and mercenaries that have taken cover? Not just in anime, either, but in any action movie ... but hey, anything for fanservice, right? )
"It's just a flesh wound!" ( Normally, a person can only take so much damage before becoming unable to continue any sort of combat. However, when their opponent does something unspeakably cruel before the eyes of the injured person -- kill and/or torture a close friend or relative, bomb a city, etc. -- then the injured person somehow finds the strength to continue fighting full-force. )
The "Tenchi-Muyou!" Syndrome, a.k.a. The "Why Me?" Syndrome ( Whenever something has to happen, it happens to you. Tenchi Masaki got this from a lot of people, alien beings, and mishaps; Detective Kiyone got this from a person named Mihoshi. You've learned to never say, "It can't get any worse."
