Squire
The Squire is the most basic class of all normal characters. Although very weak at lower levels, Squires can actually become quite powerful at later levels further into the game, due to a tendency toward higher health than other warrior classes like Knights. However, finding good weapons that do as much damage as the other classes is going to be a challenge.

A skill you are going to want to get as soon as possible is Gained Jp Up. This allows you to gain a little more Jp per attack than normal, and in time it does add up. Use this skill whenever possible except in major story battles, where it will do you more good to use another skill that raises another stat.

Note: Ramza and Delita (Chapter One) are special Squires. They use the Guts skill rather than Basic Skill, and have a few additional commands, including Yell and Wish.
