Part 10- Crescent Lake

So where is Crescent Lake you ask. Take a look at the map on the right. That is the location of Crescent Lake, take your boat there.
Dock your ship here and head southwest to the city. You can gain quite a bit of experience from the local monsters and they're not to difficult. Also, notice the amount of rivers in the area, quite a few.
This is the city of Crescent Lake. Obviously named after the Crescent shaped lake right next to it. Let's head in, there are plenty of things to do.
The level 6 magic for sale cost 200000G apiece. You will not be able to buy the EXIT spell yet, but leave a spot for it, it's very good. If you have the money pick up LIT3 and SOFT. The other spells can wait you'll have plenty of money soon. There are no real good weapons for sale, or armor either. You either don't need them or have found them in chests. Buy a buckler if you have a thief, but that's about it.
This guy is a little strange. Talk to him and he'll be sleeping z...z...z.. But, take a look at his feet, they're still moving.
Now head over to the circle of sages. To get there go in between the magic shops and then head to the right. Here you'll find 12 identical old men in a circle. You'll find the infamous Lukahn that some people have been talking about. They all give you some information about your quest and such.
One sage thanks you for vanquishing the earth fiend and thanks you by giving you a CANOE! Now you'll be able to go across rivers, and dock your ship at the base of rivers. He also tells you to go to the volcano, but we won't be heading there quite yet. Stock up on HEAL potions, at least 50 of them, 99 if you can, and head back to your ship. The mighty ice cave is next.

Make sure you're prepared for one of the hardest dungeons in the game. Then take your ship a little north of where it's docked to this river. Then set off on your brand new canoe. Watch for nasty monsters such as Hydras on your way, though they shouldn't be too hard.
At the very first intersection head north, then at the 2nd one you arrive at turn right, and you should be where I am in the picture.
At the next fork take the bottom path, the top one is a dead end. At the next fork, head to the left, the bottom path this time is a dead end. This will lead you to the mighty ice cave.
Phew, dry land. Before entering the ice cave, make sure that you use a TENT/CABIN/HOUSE to save your game and to fully restore your HP, you'll need it. You'll also need all your magic, and some luck.

Ice Cave

Enemies:

Weakness
-Coctrice 50 186 200 Ice
-Eye 162 3225 3225 N/A
-Fighter 200 3420 3420 N/A
-Frost Dragon 200 1701 2000 Fire, Lit

-Specter 52 150 150 Fire, Harm
-Wraith 114 432 432 Fire, Harm

The ice cave is fairly big, but the enemies make it as difficult as it is. Watch for mages and fighters, if you run into them run from them. They can kill a character with a single hit. If they kill your white mage you can't bring him back, without your white mage, you probably won't be able to survive.
You will also run into large battles against undead creatures such as this one. Use FIR2/3 or HRM2/3 against them. Your magic will run out very soon so use it wisely. Only use your powerful magic against large groups or you'll be out by the end of the cave.
Also watch for Frost Dragons, there move blizzard causes major damage to your whole party. You cannot run from them either so you'll have to deal with them quickly, also look for large groups of wizards that you'll be unable to run from as well.
On the first floor go around until you come to these stairs. Take them and don't bother going to rest of the first floor, you'll be back to expore it later.
On this floor there are two ways to go at the start. It doesn't matter which way you take, they both take you to the same place. Take the stairs at the end to the next floor.
Hopefully, you can figure this one out on your own.

-Now that your through the first few floors you have the longer more difficult ones to come, hopefully you'll be able to survive, it gets a little easier after this.
