Part 12- Bahamut

Cardian Islands

Your next stop is the Cardian Islands. They're a group of islands in the center of the northern half of the world. This is a map of the islands. Head to the island with the orange box near it first. It's difficult to land but you can in the corner. This is the most important island of them all. After two long walks you'll find three dragons. This dragon tells you that Bahamut verifies the courage of all.
Bahamut, King of the Dragons, tells you that if you bring him proof of your courage that he'll bestow some great honor upon you. So what is the proof of courage? Where is it? What will he give you if you bring it to him? Hmmmm...
Next head to the purple island. This island is rather difficult to land on as well, the only spot that you can is where I landed in the picture. Here you'll find treasures with a HOUSE, 500G, and a mighty 10G. But, the most important part of this island are its inhabitants.
One dragon inparticualar tells you about the Castle of Ordeals to the northeast. And that this is where you'll get your proof of courage for Bahamut.
Make sure you explore the rest of the islands. In the red island you'll find a CABIN, a SOFT, and 575G. And in the black island you'll find treasures containing: 2750G, 2000G, 1455G, 9500G, 2750G, 1520G, and 160G. Also, this dragon mentions something about a northern civilization with great mechanical castles, this is the 2nd or 3rd time you've heard something about these people.
Fly to the northeast until you find this castle, this is the Castle of Ordeals. But, try to find a landing spot close to the castle, you won't. This is a major problem, you have 2 options on how to deal with it.
The first way is to bring your ship all the way up to the end of this river and then take your canoe. This way you don't have to walk nearly as long. The down side is that the boat ride is long and you have to fight annoying random battles the whole way there and back.
The other option is to land your airship here. Far to the east of the castle. This way is a little less time consuming. The down side is that the walk is LONG, and the random battles are hard. This will also wear down your HP and your magic before even entering the castle. I like to simply land the airship here instead of getting the ship, but the choice is up to you.
If you decide to take the ship then the trip to the castle is easy, if you decide to walk run from just about every battle. If you run into worms in the desert, RUN! They can use quake which can kill your entire party. If you choose your battles wisely and have a little luck then you probably won't have too many problems. Once you get past the desert the battles get a little easier. When you get there use a tent, house, or cabin and enter.

When you enter you'll notice a guy who tells you to place a CROWN on the royal throne to enter. Kind of a strange prerequisite but you do have Astos' crown so you can enter.
The royal throne is in the upper left hand corner of the floor. To teleport to the next floor simply step on the throne and you'll suddenly be on the next floor.
This is the 2nd floor of the Castle of Ordeals, pretty confusing, huh? The columns in the building teleport you to different places within the floor, make one wrong choice and you're back at the beginning.

-It's time to head through the Castle of Ordeals to get your proof of courage for the dragon king, Bahamut.
