Part 15- Fiend of Fire

This floor is a long drawn out maze. Start by getting the two treasures in the room by the stairs. They contain a SOFT and 2750G. Then head to the west and then south.
Head that way until you get here. Get the treasure with 1760G and then head on the path to the northwest before you head down. There is a lot of valuable treasure up there.
In this room you'll find a PURE, 7340G, a flame shield, an ice sword, and 880G. If you have a ninja or a red wizard try equiping new things on them because they can now equip much more than they could before. After collecting head back to the room with the chest that had 1760G. From there take the path to the south.
Take that path until you end up here. This room contains a massive 160G between the two chests. So don't waste your time. The path heading up takes you to a room with a HOUSE and 2000G. You can get it if you want and then head down.
Taking the bottom path will lead you to a room with a wooden staff and 1250G and then eventually to these stairs, take them to go to the final floor.
This may be the last floor but there are 8 paths! So which takes you to the fiend? Well, it will help you to know that the only two paths you need to take are the one directly to your left and the one under that one. The others all lead to dead ends or empty chests.
Head to the path directly to your left first. You'll come to this room with a chest within it. The chest contains some flame armor. This is just as good as the ice armor so you want it, it also sells for quite a bit. But, there are 2 enemies guarding it.
The first of these is an AGAMA. The AGAMA isn't very difficult at all. It has low HP and can be knocked out by 1-2 physical attacks. This is another good spot for some EXP because the AGAMA rarely does much damage and he gives you almost 700 EXP.
The 2nd fight is against a red dragon. He is much harder than the AGAMA. Use ICE2/3 against him. If your knight/ninja/master is at a high level (20 or so) then you shouldn't have of a problem. Just watch for his fire move that takes away quite a bit of power from your party. Grab the flame armor and then head to the path under this.
This path takes you to the fiend. Before fighting make sure you use every you can (HEALs, all of your cure magic) until you're at full HP. Once you're ready head into the fight.
The fiend of fire, Kary is pretty mad that you killed the earth fiend and will attack you. Kary is a fairly difficult battle so get ready.
Casting AFIR and FAST on your knights, masters, and ninjas will help your chances in this battle. Cast your strongest magic against Kary, and have your stronger characters do physical attacks. For more info on Kary check out my Bosses page. However, the class change should significantly help your chances, Kary shouldn't pose much of a threat.
Now that Kary has been defeated head on up to light the fire orb. Then take one more step up to teleport out of the Gurgu Volcano. Phew...
Take a look at the menu screen, you've lit another orb. Head to a town and heal yourself, then it's time to head after another orb.

-Two orbs down, two to go, next one up is the water orb.
