Part 16- Gaia and Onrac

First head to the town of Gaia. Gaia is located in the northeast corner of the world within the mountains. It shouldn't be too hard to find. Gaia is the absolute best town to shop at in the entire game, but it comes at a price.
Let's talk to some of the people here, this guy mentions a town to the south and how the people speak a weird language, you'll visit there later on.
Another woman tells you about a fairy at the spring that was kidnapped. Who kidnapped her? How can you get her back?
Let's take a break from talking and do some shopping. Start with the armor shop. The prorings are excellent armor. They protect against moves such as RUB that instantly kill characters. Buy one for each of your characters, you should have at least enough money for that. You should also buy a gold bracelet for any masters/black-white wizards in your party. But, you don't have to yet, the prorings are first priority.
2nd priority is CUR4, one of the best magic spells in the game. It fully restores a characters HP, pick that up at the white magic shop. If you still have money after 4 prorings and CUR4 then buy ICE3. But, make sure that you come back here and buy BRAK, HRM4, and gold bracelets eventually. Also, make sure you get the level 8 spells, but you probably don't have near enough money.
One thing you want to make sure that you get is a catclaw for your black wizard (if you have one). It is the best weapon for a black wizard in the entire game so make sure you pick it up eventually. I realize that this is quite a bit of stuff, but you'll have a lot of money soon.
Let's go back to talking to some of the locals, this woman says that she saw a shining object to the east. Hmmmm....
This man mentions that there is a professor that studies Lefeinish. Hmmm... could that be the language of the town to the south that some other guy in this town was talking about, sure is. Maybe if you knew who this professor was...
Up by the clinic you'll find the culprit who kidnapped the fairy. Unfortuantely he BOTTLED her and sold her to the caravan master. So where is the caravan master?
You might have been wondering, what's the purpose of this fairy anyways? Well this guy has the answer. The fairy can draw OXYHALE from the spring. OXYHALE is capatilized so it must be important. But, what do you need it for?

That's all to see in Gaia for now, it's time to head to the town of Onrac for more answers. Onrac is located to the west of the Cardian Islands. You probably saw it during that stage in the game. Unfortunately you won't be able to land right next to Onrac.
Instead, you'll have to land it here. It's to the south of Onrac. Don't worry, the fights in this area are very easy so the walk is more annoying than anything.
In Onrac, this man tells you that mermaids used to live in a shrine until 200 years ago. This was the same time that the fiends came to be... coincidence? I think not.
This guy tells you that Kope saw some sort of shining object fall. Hmmmm... didn't someone in Gaia say something like that too? Better talk to this Kope character.
This man tells you that Onrac used to be prosporous until 200 years ago. Same time that the shrine sank and that the fiends came to be. Hmmmm.... You'll notice though that Onrac isn't the greatest shopping city. It has no armor or weapon shop. And the magic in Onrac is horrible. Do not waste your money on anything sold in Onrac. It's a waste of valuable money that could be used in Gaia.
This woman has some very useful information. She tells you that her father runs the caravan. And that he's located near an oasis in the western desert. Hmmmm... he probably has the fairy there. Head there, but not quite yet.
This woman by the inn tells you that when the shrine sank a cryptic stone and many great treasures went with it. Must be some pretty good stuff down there. I wonder how you get down to the shrine...?
This guy tells you something extremely important. That his brother is Dr. Unne and that Unne was the one studying the Lefeinish language! He also says that if Unne had the SLAB that he could teach it. I'd be willing to bet that the cryptic stone the woman talked about is the SLAB. Things are starting to make sense now. Get the SLAB from the shrine, but how do you get to the shrine?
Now head to the east of Onrac. A woman says that her submarine was made to save the mermaids, but that it needs OXYHALE. It's starting to make sense, 1. Get the fairy, 2. Get OXYHALE from the fairy, 3. Go to the sea shrine.
Above her is Kope, that some other guy had told you about. Talk to him and he tells you that north near the waterfall he saw a robot. Let's head there before heading off to get the fairy. Mainly because you can gain quite a bit of money from the waterfall to buy stuff at Gaia. That's all to see in Onrac, leave for now.

Head north on this river to get to the waterfall, you don't need to do much preparing for the waterfall, it's not that long or hard. You can use tents and such in the canoe so I'd use one to save your game just in case before entering the waterfall.

-Now that we've gathered some info and equipment it's time to take on the waterfall and the sea shrine.
