Part 19- Lefein

So three orbs are lit, where is the fourth? Well, remember that SLAB that you got at the Sea Shrine? Take it to Dr. Unne in Melmond, he knows what to do with it.
Dr. Unne is in the northeast corner of Melmond. Hand him the SLAB and he'll tell you that this solves the language of Lefeinish. More over, he teaches you the language. Wow, that was quick. Now that you know the language it's time to head to Lefein.
Lefein is located south of Gaia. Unfortunately, as in Onrac, there is no place to land near the town. Instead, you'll have to fly quite a ways to the north and make a long walk down.
This is the closest point that you can land at. The long walk down to Lefein is fairly difficult. You'll run into some pretty hard enemies, but you shouldn't have many problems. There is no inn in Lefein so you'll probably want to save and restore some HP before the journey back. But for now, let's head in.
The first man that you talk to in Lefein tells you about the sky warriors and how only their bravest people become them. Also, notice that there are no shops at all in Lefein. (Or at least it seems...)
This guy tells you that 400 years ago their people lost control of the wind. The same time the wind FIEND came to be. He also talks about a floating castle that they used to control, interesting.
This man talks about how they used to have an advanced civilization. So, this must be that civilization of the north that several people have been talking about.
Here's something interesting. The ancestors of the Lefeinish made robots. So, that solves where that robot at the waterfall came from.
Hmmm... it seems that the entrance to this floating castle is the mirage tower. That seems to be the next stop, but not yet, there's still some things to do here.
It also seems that the sky warriors of Lefein left to take on the person that controlled the fiends and never returned. Another person tells you that they were turned into bats by this person. I wonder who that person is...?
This man tells you that the FIEND in the floating castle is Tiamat. The Lefeinish fought Tiamat, but were unsuccessful. Hopefully, you'll fair a little better.
This person gives you something very important, the CHIME. With this CHIME you'll be able to enter the Mirage Tower. So, it's time to head to the Tower right? Well, there's one last thing to do in Lefein.
Head to the northeast corner of the town and take this path dead to the east. There's a little secret hidden at the end of this path.
There's two magic shops. They have the best magic spells in the game. LIF2 and NUKE. LIF2 revives a character with full HP! And NUKE is the strongest magic spell in the entire game. Hopefully, you've brought an extra 120000G or you'll be making a return trip. After this head back to your airship.

Lefein- Inn: N/A, Clinic: N/A
White Magic- Lif2: 60000GBlack Magic- Nuke: 60000G

It's time to head to the mirage tower. It's located in the center of the huge desert directly to the west. Unfortunately, you cannot land your airship on the desert, this is the closest point that you can land at.
This is the Mirage Tower, if you didn't get the chime then you won't be let in. You don't have to go to the item menu or anything to use it, just head on in. Of course, make sure that you save the game before heading in, it's quite long.

Mirage Tower

-Wizard Mummy 188 984 1000 Fire, Harm

This is the first floor of the tower. Don't bother with the path on the outside, it's just a big circle with no treasure. Instead, head straight into the room.
There's a lot of treasure to be had on this floor. They are a vorpal (sell it), 18010G, 2750G, 880G, 3400G, a CABIN, an Aegis shield, and a heal helmet. The heal helmet casts HEL2 in battle much like the staff does. You can have 2 characters with this ability if you'd like. But, I'd just pitch it, there's better armor to hold on to.
The enemies of the tower are fairly difficult, but as long as your in level 23-24 range you shouldn't have that much of a problem. Also, there is a ton of money here. After leaving you'll never need any more money. After getting the treasure on the floor head to these stairs.
The 2nd floor has some great treasure. Simply head around the only path around the outside of the floor. Forget about the stairs for now, you've got some treasure to get.
When you get to this point head south along the building. Head into the room and start collecting the treasure. Some of the lesser treasures are 12350G, 7900G, 13000G, 8135G, 10000G, 7690G, and a HOUSE! A lot of money!
The better treasures include, the sun sword (best sword in the game to this point equip it on your knight), thor's hammer (the best weapon for a white wizard in the entire game), and some dragon armor (tied with opal armor for the best armor in the entire game)!
Now head back up to the stairs to the next level. There's nothing on this floor except for a single room. Head on into it.
Upon entering the room, you'll be put in a battle against a blue dragon. The blue dragon isn't very difficult. Take care of it and then talk to the robot there.
The robot tells you that you need a CUBE to transport. Luckily, you got the CUBE from the waterfall near Onrac. Step on the teleporter to go to the sky castle.

-Now that you've gotten through the Mirage Tower you can take on the Sky Castle to take on the FIEND.
