From the Mirage Tower you teleport to this floating castle. The enemies become harder here, including the hardest enemy in the game. You start with a 4-way intersection, the path to the left has pointless treasure (HEAL, 7900G, 4150G, 9900G). Get it if you want the money, but you don't really need it. Then head down.
Here you'll find the bane sword. Although not very great as a sword, it casts BANE in battle. This can come in very useful. Give it to a mage that does little attacking and they can use it every turn. Even though, BANE doesn't work that often, when it does work it really helps, especially against large groups of enemies.
Next head to the right. Here you'll find another heal helmet. You may want to keep it, especially if you threw away the first. But, I wouldn't keep two of them. In fact, I'd throw both of them away, but that's up to you. You'll also find another proring, 1800G, 6720G, and 5000G.
The only path left is the one up, so take it. There you'll find the teleporter that takes you to the next floor. You might want to use EXIT and leave to sell some of your equipment because there is a LOT of good stuff on the next floor. Otherwise you'll have to drop some stuff.
The next floor has 8 paths! Well, the path up is the way that you got here so go to the one to the right of it first. Here you'll find some opal gauntlets. Prorings are much better so you can either pitch them or sell them.
Heading clockwise from the room with the opal gauntlets you'll find a room with an opal helmet and a ribbon. Equip the ribbon immediately and drop or sell the opal helmet unless you have a knight that doesn't have one of the three ribbons.
Heading clockwise once again you'll find some more worthwhile treasure, a black shirt, and a white shirt. Although they're not that great of armor, the white shirt casts INV2 in battle and the black shirt casts ICE2. This can help out. I'd keep the black shirt, but you might want to get rid of the white shirt to save space, plus having an unlimited INV2 doesn't help a whole lot.
Skip the next path, it has the teleporter to the next floor. The path clockwise after that one has ADAMANT in it. Having it allows you to get the best weapon in the entire game. We'll get to that after this dungeon.
The two paths after this contain pointless treasures. (13000G, 880G, a HOUSE, and a silver helmet.) It's just a waste of your time to go down those two so simply head to the path leading straight down to the teleporter to the next floor.
On the next floor you'll find another robot. Talk to him and he'll tell you that you can look out at the world from that window to his left, so do so.
When you look out of the window you'll see that the four forces (FIENDs) are moving towards the temple of fiends. You'll also see that that temple is the center of all the dungeons. If you draw lines from Gurgu Volcano to Melmond to the Sea Shrine and the Mirage Tower, they'll make a big X, the center of which is the Temple of Fiends. Pretty cool, huh.
There are 4 ways to go from the teleporter. Head to the right first. You'll eventually come to a room with 6400G, a SOFT, 9500G, 8135G, a cloth(?????), and a procape. The procape can be equiped by black and white wizards so give it to one of them and equip it. It will be equiped in the spot that shields are for knights.
If you head down from the teleporter you'll run into 2 rooms with computers that all say the same thing. Tiamat is the FIEND of wind. That's all to see down here.
Next head up from the teleporter. Here you'll find another room with treasure. They include 9000G, a HEAL, 5450G, and yet another proring. Mainly pointless stuff, the path that takes you to the next floor is to the left of the teleporter.
On the left path you'll find not only another teleporter that takes you to the next floor, but some more treasure as well. The treasure includes 4150G, a SOFT, 3400G, and a katana. The katana is the best weapon for a ninja so if you have one, equip it on him. Otherwise sell it, it sells for 30000G. The next teleporter is right under this room.
This next floor seems pretty confusing, but it isn't once you know what to do. Notice how the teleporter that you came from is a triangle that's pointing down. Remember this because the one to take you to the next level is a triangle pointing up.
To get to the next teleporter simply head two blocks down and then two to the right. Notice how the teleporter is turning up. If it isn't simply use WARP and do it over again. If you mess up the floor can get very confusing.
This takes you to the final floor. All this floor is, is a long long path to the FIEND. Beware though, the hardest enemy in the entire game, Warmech is on this path. If you run into Warmech, you will die unless you're levels are in the mid 30's, which I doubt. And even if they are you still have a good chance of being killed. The chance of running into him is bad though, so cross your fingers and start walking. Check out my Bosses page for more info on Warmech.
If you manage to make it across the bridge you'll come to this orb. Make sure you heal yourself as much as you can as always before the fight. Examine it and Tiamat will challenge you.
Tiamat is actually a pretty hard fight. He has high defense, so your physical attacks won't do as much as usual. Use FAST on any knights you have and use your strongest magic (NUKE). There is a trick though. Tiamat can be killed in one hit with BANE. So simply use the spell and the sword because BANE misses quite a bit. For more info on Tiamat, check out my Bosses page.
Now that you've defeated the final FIEND and all the orbs are lit the game is over right? So why aren't the credits rolling? Well, it's time to visit the circle of sages to find out what's going on.

-It's time to do some preparing for the final dungeon in the game, including obtaining the ultimate weapon.
