Part 21- Preparation

Now that you have ADAMANT from the Floating castle head back to dwarf cave. It's located just to the east of Melmond if you've forgotten. There is a very, very good weapon to be had here.
Now head to this guy in the the western end of the cave. He's happy that you've got ADAMANT and gives you a weapon, free of charge. The Xcalber, the best weapon in the entire game. Only knights can equip it, so put it on them immediately. Now head to Crescent Lake.
Head back to talk to the circle of sages. They have some information on what's going on. This sage tells you that the Temple of Fiends is the center of the four altars and that the evil must be destroyed.
This sage tells you something very interesting. He tells you that the true enemy is 2000 years in the past. He also says that the time loop can be broken. So what is this time loop? And how do you go 2000 years into the past?
This sage gives you a little more info. He tells you that time is repeating and that the person controlling the time loop lives 2000 years in the past. So it seems that you'll have to travel back 2000 years and kill some guy that's making time repeat.
It seems that defeating the four fiends was not enough. This sage tells you that every 2000 years he travels back in time and sends the FIENDS back again and again and again. So defeating the FIENDS doesn't stop this time loop. To do so you must kill whoever is doing this.
So it seems that you have to head to the Temple of Fiends. But, before you leave Crescent Lake stock up on some HEAL potions, 99 to be exact. You will have plently of money and here at Crescent Lake the HEAL potions are on the top of the list, so it's a lot easier to buy them quickly.
Head out of Crescent Lake. Next, if you haven't yet picked up LIF2 and NUKE do so now. Make sure that you get them because they are the two very best spells in the entire game. Next head to Gaia.

-At Gaia sell any weapons and armor that you have and don't need. Also, while your here buy any magic that you still need to buy. If you want some more info on what magic to buy check out my Magic page. After that is over with it's time to gain some experience. I highly recommend that you get to at least level up to level 30 before heading deep into the temple of fiends. Doing so will make heading through the temple so much easier. You can make it through at level 25+, but it will be much much easier at level 30.

There are a few different ways to gain this EXP. One way is to head to the ice cave and fight the eye over and over. It's quick to get to the eye fight and you gain close to 900 EXP very quickly. You may also head to the waterfall and fight that big battle at the very end over and over.
Another place to do some level uping is at the temple of fiends itself. You gain quite a bit of EXP. But, the downside is that the enemies are hard and you'll have to make trips to an inn every once in a while. Let's at least head there and check it out.
In there you'll find some talking bats. And they're more than just bats, they're the fabeled SKY WARRIORS from Lefein. It seems that they lost their fight against the cause of the time loop 400 years ago. They have some useful information for you
This bat/sky warrior has some very important information. He tells you that if you place the 4 orbs on the black orb in the middle, that you can travel back in time. So to head back 2000 years all you have to do is step on that.
Examine the black orb and you will place the 4 orbs there and all you have to do is step forward to head 2000 years back in time. NOTE: THE ONLY WAY TO LEAVE THIS TEMPLE IS WITH EXIT OR WARP! Once you take that step that is the only way to leave it. But, as long as you have EXIT then head on in to check it out.
Walk around just to check out some of the enemies. You'll fight worms and frost dragons quite often. The frost dragons can become a real pain. Especially if they use Blizzard over and over again. All the enemies are fairly hard but give you quite a bit of EXP.
Once you're at level 30 or so use EXIT and head back to an inn and cure yourself. It's time to complete the final dungeon. Before heading in make sure you have all the magic spells that you want, and that you have 99 HEALS, and 10 or so PURES and SOFTS. Save your game outside and head on in.

-Now that you're ready it's time to take on the final dungeon.
