Welcome to the Earth Cave. You'll notice that there are 6 noticeable paths from the starting stairs. The path to the right takes you straight to the next floor if you want to go staight down. Let's start with the 2 paths on the left side of the screen.
You'll notice that these two paths are connected. The hall between the two is infested with giants and iguanas. Every step that you take in this hall will put you in a battle with giants and iguanas. These battle are fairly hard.
However, this is one of the best places to gain levels in the game. You gain a lot of experience and useful G from these battles. Once you go up a few levels the battles become a little easier so you can win many at a time before having to go back to Melmond to heal yourself. You'll want to be at about level 12/13 before heading deep into the Earth Cave. You can always go back to Melmond to heal.
Head back to the main stairs. The path down leads to a dead end so next let's head up. This path leads to a chest containing 1975G, well worth the trip. Beware though, these chests are guarded by Earths. Earths are weak against fire magic so use it against them. After collecting this head back to the main stairs in the middle.
The path to the southeast of where you're standing contains some treasure as well. A little ways down this path splits into three paths. The left one leads to a HEAL and 880G. The middle one is a dead end and the one on the right leads to 795G and a PURE. All of these chests are guarded by earths as well so beware.
That's all there is to do on this floor, head on down to the 2nd floor. The 2nd floor and especially the 3rd floor are quite extensive so if you're already low on HP you probably want to heal yourself and you might want to level up a little before heading down.
The 2nd floor seems quite confusing but it really isn't. Just head mainly east and you shouldn't have many problems. There are rooms with treasure on the floor that you'll want to check out as well.
In the first room there's chests with 575G, a wooden helmet, and 5000G. In the 2nd room you'll find a coral sword (nice for a thief), a CABIN, and a chest with 330G. After collecting these it's time to head down to the next floor, the stairs are in the southeast corner of the floor.
The 3rd floor is fairly large. It basically a big wound out circle. There is some treasure on this floor as well. When you get to the fork in the road shown in the picture go left. The path to the right only leads to a HEAL treasure. Which isn't worth taking the long drawn out path that leads to it.
The treasure on this floor includes (in order that you find them) a TENT, a HEAL (if you choose to bother), 3400G, and 1020G. Head down the stairs at the end of the path.
You'll now encounter the all mighty vampire. Do not worry about this fight, it's incredibely easy. Using FIR3 can actually kill him in ONE HIT. Using HRM3 delivers major damage, as does simply attacking. His attacks are weak and don't need to be worried about. My Bosses page has more info on him if you need it.
After beating him you'll find the RUBY! Now you can pass through Titan's Tunnel. But notice, on the menu screen one of the orbs hasn't lit. Hmmmm... but wasn't the vampire responsible for the rotting of the earth? Obviously not. Head futher down the path.
There's some sort of evil stone that's blocking your path. Sort of strange, nothing that you can do for now, so head back to Melmond to decide what to do next.

-Back in Melmond you want to completely heal yourself. Now that you've got some money you'll want to purchase some things that you couldn't before. Start by making sure that you have all of your level 5 magic (Except the spot you're leaving for WARP). Also, you'll want to buy some steel armor now for your fighter, and some silver bracelets for some of your other characters. Also, make sure you have many HEAL's, PURE's, and SOFT's before you head back to the Earth Cave again. Many of the characters can now petrify you, which can be deadly and can only be cured by SOFT. After you've taken care of that, head back to Titan's Tunnel, you'll be able to get through now.

-Next we'll head on through Titan's tunnel to see Sarda, he can help us through to the end of the Earth Cave.
