I have lots of My Little Ponies in my collection, and I really like them all, but there are a special few that stick out in my mind for special reasons. Here are my selected favorites, along with any special reason for being so well-liked.
 

Lemon Drop. My first pony. I got her for my birthday.

Baby Countdown. Space flight! Yes! (Plus, isn't he adorable?) My online pony name is Baby Countdown, after him.

Blossom. My second pony. She could have been my first pony if I hadn't been greedy and gone for the big present (which turned out to be Lemon Drop and the Show Stable) first. I picked up Blossom next.

Firefly. How could I not like her after all but memorizing "Escape from Midnight Castle"?

Bubbles. It's a rather long story, it takes exactly two hours to tell....suffice it to say it took me about ten years to finally get one. One summer day as a kid I helped to paint the backyard fence to get money to buy her, but the next time we went to the store they had already sold all their Bubbles. Thank goodness for the Internet. :-)

Baby Lemon Drop. A surprise gift from a friend who didn't even know that Lemon Drop was one of my very favorite ponies.

Moondancer. I've always thought she was really pretty, plus I love the Moon....

Applejack. I love apples and applesauce (there's "Escape from Midnight Castle" again!).

Magic Star. One of my favorite characters from the Movie and TV show.

Night Glider. I love space, she's got lots of celestial objects on her, what else is there?

Ember. (purple with pink hair). I'm not really sure why. Sentimental growing-up reasons, I suppose.

Morning Glory. My first Flutter Pony, as well as a favorite character in the movie and TV show.

Swirly Whirly. Always liked her, again, don't know why.

Shady. My non-so-soft, UK exclusive. My first International Pony, plus a character that I could relate to in the Movie and TV series.

Windy. First Rainbow Pony.
Truly might have been my first So-Soft, but I really don't remember.
Gingerbread. First Twinkle-Eye Pony. Sweet Pop was my last.
Ember. (purple, pink mane/tail) First mail-order.
Baby Moondancer. First Baby Pony.
Sea Light. First Sea Pony. Wave Dancer was next.
Princess Tiffany. First Princess Pony. Princess Starburst was next.
Baby Ribbon. First Beddy-Bye-Eye Pony.
Baby Tic-Tac-Toe. First First-Tooth Pony.
Milkweed & Tumbleweed. First Newborn Twins.
First Twice as Fancy Pony was either Milky Way or Sugarberry.
Salty. First Big Brother Pony. Tex was next.
Morning Glory. First Flutter Pony. Lily was second.
Magic Hat. First Magic Message Pony. Cloud Dreamer was second.
Baby Noddins. First Peek-A-Boo Baby Pony.
Blueberry Baskets. First Sweetberry Pony.
Apple Delights. First Loving Family.
Zig Zag. First Pony Friend.

These are the only ones I remember. I did not include sets that I only have one or two ponies from.
