Stables
Upon entering, the nose is assaulted with the smell of fresh hay mingled with the smell of runners, not at all an unpleasant mixture. The lazy buzzing of vtols and an occasional snort or whinny helps to break the silence. On either side of the massive room are rows of stalls, each kept meticulously tidy by the stablehands.
A doorway leads back to the rest of the herder's area, while other exits and gates open out to the courtyard and a nice green pasture.
You see Glory, Quicksilver, Wildfire, Enigma, Beast Pen, SilverWind, Misty, and Peppered here.
The following runners are here, and not in the stables: Cornix, Araby, Purple, Blue, Surreal, and Breeze
There are runners in the stables. Type '@stable' to see a list.

Aldrea
Glowing embers peer out of a smooth, narrow face, sparking with a joy of life that only a child should possess. Shortened brunette locks befall the smallish head and dance about her slender shoulders as they gently curl back towards her face. The dark hair sets out her ivory skin tone perfectly, it a bit too much for one's eyes to gaze upon. Pert little nose rises from her face and a smile curves below, allowing dimples at such times of great happiness. But that smile can disappear as soon as it shines forth... she was a shy one. Short neck leads down into a small torso, developed though not outstandingly so. Young... that is what her body speaks of so far. A slim waist then moves towards long legs, muscular, though not overly so. Speaking of such, her feet aren't much to gaze at either. They just sort of peek out from the ends of her legs and carry her where she wishes without complaint.
Her clothing is pretty simple really. Nothing to gawk at or swoon about draps this trim figure, though it sets out her features quite nicely. A light blue tunic covers her upper half, the neck strings holding it shut tightly and the lower portion being belted down. The belt, made of soft wher-hide, clings tightly to her small form and makes the tunic bag a bit about it. Frolicing runnerbeasts careen about the belt and the buckle is of a subdued gold hue. Her trous are a simple brown color, nearly matching her hair. They crinkle at her ankles where the cuffs meet with her shoes of soft leather. A deep, rich brown they are and make her feet look smaller than they actually are.
A double cord and single loop of yellow and white wrap around Aldrea's shoulder. A small tail comes of the end of the cord and loop, denoting her as a Herder Craft Senior Apprentice.

She is awake and looks alert.
Aldrea just looked at you.

Beatrice's Buckskin Mare
Sweeping shades of a deeply burnished yellow collide over the firm, stocky form of this mare. Delicately lined head has a haughty tilt to it, piercing eyes of a clear chocolate colouring and nostrils lined with a smooth pink. Her muzzle sports a pitch, which is echoed by the shapely ears and sleek forelock and mane. Perched teasingly below her forelock is a small white star, strange in the hue of the rest of her coat. Powerful neck wends languidly into strong shoulders and thick, short legs. Her barrel is rounded, no sharp corners setting off this beautiful runnre. Haunches full of muscle and liquid grace produce another set of fine, strong legs. The tail is, once again, the colouring of ebony-- which matches the stockings upon all four legs.
Beatrice's Buckskin Mare is 3 Turns, 1 Month, and 14 Days old.

Hotohori has arrived.

Hotohori
Needing a double-take, this flit first appears to be brown. Dark cinnamon flows easily along his hide, covering all in its warmth. Only when the light shines directly upon him does his true color become known. Shimmering lightly, he is dusted from head to tip of tail with a glittering coat of bronze, the color hiding and settling in creases of joints and wingsails.

(Hotohori) Hold Courtyard
(Hotohori) Crom hold's courtyard stretches out, its rooms standing tall against the mountains behind. Imposing and dark, the previous inhabitants have mostly never thought much of decoration, but Crom's newest Lady Holder has taken it to her personal attention to add joy and color to the rather barren countryside.
(Hotohori) A road leads out towards Telgar and the Hold's gather grounds, while little trails by the hold take twists and turns to a pleasant garden, the stables, the minercraft hall, and a charming and scenic trail through the valleys and hills of the Crom Area.
(Hotohori) The sky is clear and bright without a cloud to be seen. It is a spring midday.
(Hotohori) You see Scoundrel, Spice, and Evreth here.
(Hotohori) Beatrice is here.

Hotohori flitters toward Hold Courtyard.

(Hotohori) Beatrice just looked at you.

(Hotohori) Hotohori chitters softly as he flits out of the stables, shimmering bronzen wings catching the light as he does so. Whirling eyes spot Beatrice and an imperious warble is given to the woman before he swoops back the way he'd come. Showing the way?

Hotohori flitters in from Hold Courtyard.

Beatrice walks in from Hold Courtyard.

Beatrice
Average in stature, this woman is of delicate build. Wavey brunette hair flows freely to her bare shoulders. Eyes of light brown may appear sparkling and full of happiness at one's first glance or encounter, but they can be filled with much scorn and stare straight through one's self. Her face is soft, yet well defined and also sunburnt. Full pink lips match her dark, evenly tanned skin. A fair lady is she.
Sunburnt shoulders are left bare as her white dress does not cover them. Around the top edges are thin strings, which meet up and tie in the middle creating a thin, loose royal purple bow, preventing the dress from sagging. The torso of the dress fits rather snug and has well-defined lines running up and down. The rest of the dress drifts in slight folds down to her ankles. Her feet are adorned with simple light brown leather sandles.

She is awake and looks alert.

Beatrice walks swiftly into the stables and tries to spy the firelizard she just followed, instead, she sees a familar face. "Hi there!"

Aldrea calls Hotohori to her, giggling at his proud puff as he lands upon her arm. "You found her?" she whispers softly before spotting Beatrice. "Hello! Your mare came in today... would you like to have a look at her?" Herder-girl grins widely as she strokes the bronze's eyeridges.

Beatrice nods and beams, "Really? Oh, where is she?"

Aldrea moves to a stall door after placing Hotohori on her shoulder. Removing a lead shank, she clips it onto the runner within before opening the door. Slowly, she leads the dancing mare out of the stall, grinning widely as she leads the buckskin towards Beatrice. "Here she is... I hope you like her. Your saddle and bridle are in the other room." A soft giggle before she leads the mare around, circling her for Beatrice's inspection. The mare throws up her head, ears percking and wide, curious eyes studying the other as she dances after Aldrea. Coming to a stop again, girl hands the lead shank towards the other, beam overtaking her face.

Beatrice smiles and her eyes sparkle, "She's so pretty!" She takes the lead and pats the mare on the neck, "Where did she end up coming from?"

Aldrea disappears into the tack room, returning with simple yet hardy saddle and bridle made of fine leather. Setting them upon a small, wooden frame, she inspects them before turning back to Beatrice. "She was in a herd of our stock runners in a small cothold near here." Clasping her hands together, she grins at the two. "So, how do you like her? Will she do?"

Beatrice nods, "I love her. She's everything I wanted." She smiles, "And I see my saddle and bridle. Thank you so much."

Bedouin dozes off...

Aldrea smiles at the runner, giving her one last pat before holding out her hand to Beatrice to seal the deal. "I hope you enjoy her. And thank you for buying her. If she gets sick, this is the best place to bring her if at all possible since we've worked with her." Girl pulls out a stylus and rolled hide. Unrolling it, she studies it before making a mark on it and turning it towards the other. "If you would... could you sign here?" She points towards a line underneath her own signature. "It's just stating that you've paid for and taken the mare."

Beatrice shakes her hand, "Yes, I'll keep you informed about her health. I know I'll need help." She takes the stylus and quickly signs her name on the line, "There ya' go."

Aldrea rerolls the hide and places it back in the pouch along with stylus before another hide is removed. "These are her bloodlines, information on her health, birth record. These are to be kept in a safe place. When you bring her in when she gets sick, you'll want to have this with you," she holds up the hide that contains health information, "so we can fill it out appropriately." She hands the hides towards the other with a beam. "That's pretty much it..."

Beatrice takes the papers and raises an eyebrow, "That's a lot of papers, though, don't worry, I'll keep it safe and nice." She places the papers under her arm and gives the mare another pat, "Okay then. Thanks a lot for everything!" She grins.

Aldrea chuckles softly. "It's not as much as say... a racing runner. But it's enough. And you're welcome. Good riding, Beatrice." She motions towards the saddle and bridle so that the other doesn't forget about them before going about her duties with the other animals.

Beatrice smiles, "Thanks again."

Beatrice calls Dolli closer.
