Alain's J-Man Project

The project itself is basically a Pernese study on autopsy. The Pernese, having a somewhat basic understanding of medicine and lacking the technological advances to preserve and study the human body, are restricted in their study and therefore understanding of human physiology. However, there are certain things one can understand through autopsy.

First, let me define "autopsy" for anyone who's getting squeamish, or wants to call out the canon Nazis:

autopsy: Examination of a cadaver to determine or confirm the cause of death. Also called necropsy, postmortem, postmortem examination.

Autopsy has nothing to do with cutting up dead people. Rather, it's simply looking at the evidence presented to determine cause of death. Kind of exciting sounding, isn't it? Well, one thing to remember is that the Pernese have no system of refrigeration. A body can be put in a cool cellar for a while, but they can't freeze the body and keep it around for days at a time. The body would only retain it's natural state at death for three days at a maximum, and then hold your nose!

Okay, so this probably is really more than any of you want to know. The following is the outline of my project, which exists as a continuing work in three parts:

Part One: Autopsy RP
Perform three autopsies in the manner appropriate to Pernese culture in the presence of a Healer of Journeyman rank or higher.

Autopsy Number 1: Poisoning

Autopsy Number 2: Fall Victem

Autopsy Number 3: Asphyxiation

Part Two: Formal Presentation
Present my findings in the form of a web page.

Part Three: Educate
Be prepared to teach future classes and answer questions regarding necropsy and autopsy for colleagues.

How very professional sounding, hm? ^.^ If you have any questions, @send or page Alain on HT.
