Part 1
Dark red clouds surrounded Bowser's Keep, as waves of water splashed against
the small piece of rocky land, which held Bowser's mighty keep. Even though
it was the middle of the afternoon, it was always dark there. Lightning occasionally
lit up the dark red sky. Bowser had just returned from trying another devious
plan of his to take over the Mushroom Kingdom, but as usual, he was defeated
by the Mario Bros. Bowser had had it all planned out. He would have swooped
in on his Doomship, sent some of his flying Para-Troopers down, grab the Princess,
and take her back to the Doomship, where he would have held her hostage. He
would've threatened the Mario Bros. by saying: "Surrender the kingdom over
to me plumbers, or the Princess will meet and explosive demise in my Bob-bomb
chamber!" But before he could even send down his flying troops, the Mario
Bros. appeared out of nowhere, flew up to his Doomship with their Flying Caps,
and fire balled the Doomship, causing it to wildly catch on fire. He tried
to continue fighting, but parts of the Doomship were exploding and falling
off. He had to retreat.
"Kamek!" Bowser roared, in an angary voice, as he slammed the black metal
doors of his Keep. "Yes...?" Kamek asked, peaking from down the hallway. almost
scared to face Bowser. "Get down here, NOW!" Bowser demanded. Kamek came down
the stairs, at the end of the hallway slowly. "I assume you lost?" He asked,
walking down the torch lighted hallway. "Of course I lost, you idiot! Would
I be yelling like this if I WON!?" Bowser madly responded. "Sir, please remember
your blood pleasure! Here, take some of these pills, they'll help you relax."
Kamek suggested, holding out a small orange bottle, which contained tablets.
"Do I look like I need pills!? What I need is a plumber-proof plan!" Bowser
continued, as he began to walk down the blueish-grey hallway. "What I need
is the powers, that those pesky plumbers get from those Caps!" Bowser said,
turning to Kamek.
"But you already tried something similar to that! Remember, that junky jewel
your Koopa Kids developed." Kamek said, walking towards Bowser. "Well, since
I misplaced those brats somewhere; Kamek, it's your job to find a way to get
me those powers the faucet freaks have!" Bowser ordered, then began walking
up the stairs towards his Throne Room. Kamek sighed, then walked off towards
his spell room, where he could look up a spell or something in his age-old
magic books, or conjure up a potion. Princess Toadstool had decided to hold
a special dinner in the Mario Bros. honor, at her Royal Castle. All the Mushroom
people from the villages were invited. The special dinner was held in the
Banquet Hall, where it was all decorated. Most of the Mushroom people had
shown up, and two very long tables were needed, as well as some speakers that
had to be attached to the wall, so that the people at the far end of the room
could hear who was speaking. The Mushroom Chef's had their hands full. Cooking
for all the Mushroom people was not a problem, it was cooking enough food
for Mario, that was the problem!
The Chancellor stood up behind the podium, on the far side of the room. He
cleared his throat before speaking into the speaker. "Hello everyone! We are
gathered here to rejoice, for the Mario Bros. have once again defeated the
evil King Koopa, and put his Doomship out of commission. But we are not here
to just celebrate "another victory", we are here to declare an official holiday:
"The Super Mario Brothers Super Holiday Extravaganza!" The Chancellor said
with pure enthusiasm, as a huge orange curtain rolled down from the ceiling,
revealing the new holiday name, and a picture of both Mario and Luigi's faces,
who were now blushing at the front of the table. Clapping and whistling from
both of the ends of the room could be heard. "From now on, on this day, parties,
celebrations and more will take place all over the glorious Mushroom Kingdom!"
The Chancellor finished, as he stepped down, signaling the Mario Bros. to
come up and make a speech.
It took a little coaxing, from both the Princess and the Chancellor, but soon,
both Mario and Luigi were standing on stage, in front of the cheering crowd.
Mario spoke first. "This is a really great honor, I mean, it really doesn't
take much to defeat such a weak and pathetic coward, like Bowser." Mario began,
but Luigi interrupted. "We really don't deserve this.." Luigi began, but Mario
cut in. "Hah Hah! My brother is just too modest!" "I've faced my fair share
of weak and puny evil doers, Wart, Wario, and Tatangela for example." Mario
continued on and on, he seemed to have lost his "nervousness" to come up on
stage. Kamek had returned to his Sorcerers Room, and had been searching through
his many magic books, looking for any slightest hint on how to get Bowser
the powers he needed to defeat the Mario Bros. once and for all. He had to
look carefully, as the print in the books was becoming unreadable, since the
books were all original copies. He set down one book on a table, which he
had finished skimming through, and reached for a very old and dusty book.
"Not just anyone can be a hero, however! It takes great courage and determination
to save a Princess, and defeat the evil villain!" Mario was going on and on,
until Luigi shoved him out of the way, and said a simple "Thank you." "Well,
that was an....a, an interesting and very exciting speech Mario!" The Chancellor
spoke, as he returned to the podium. Loud snoring could be heard throughout
the room. Bowser was stomping back and forth in his Throne Room, mumbling
to himself, when suddenly the door swinged open, revealing Kamek and a book
held high. "Good news King Bowser. I have finally found the spell you desired
for!" Kamek said as he entered the room. "Great! Now get going and wave that
wand of yours!" Bowser ordered. "It's not that simple. This is not something
I can just "cast" on you. I need to collect five of the mystical cap blocks,
then combined them in a spell." Kamek finished, as he set his spell book down
on a table.
"Huh? Five blocks?" Kamek, there are only three!" Bowser said, taking a minute
to think. "Mario only found THREE of the cap switches, he never entered the
secret area in the castle!" Kamek responded. "I thought you knew?" He then
added. "Of...Of..Of course I knew!" Bowser said, trying to cover up not knowing
what Kamek was talking about. "Refresh my memory!" He then said. "There is
a Fire Flower Cap, and a Star Cap." Kamek answered. "What does the Star Cap
do again?" Bowser asked. "It lets you shoot multiple golden stars, very powerful
and devastating to the unprotected victim." Kamek paused for a second, then
went on. "When I combine these powers, they will be transferred to your crown.
As long as you wear it, you will have all these powers. You could even combine
the powers into "new" powers. All you would have to say is "Wing Cap" or "Metal
Cap", or "Wing Metal Cap", and you get those powers!" Kamek finally finished,
taking a huge breathe of the humid air. "Excellent! With those powers, I will
easily take out those annoying plumbers, and take control of the whole Kingdom!
Mwa Hah Hah Hah!"
