Ramble Guide

 

            NOTE: My friend Sephiroth and I claim sole responsibility for the creation of the following characters and all aspects thereof.  Plagiarism in any way, shape, or form will not be tolerated.

           

 

~Nathan Jenson~

        Though he be 17 years old, Nathan is widely renowned an expert swordsman.  He has smooth light brown hair and green eyes.  He wears a blue suit of armor and keeps his sword sheath strapped to his side to provide convenient access to his trusty broadsword.  Nathan seldom passes up the chance to prove his worth in battle.  He fights very carefully and methodically, but he is by no means fearless.  If ever he should come face to face with a dragon, he would run back the way he came in a split-second. 

           

~Amber Skye~

        Nathan’s 16-year-old sweetheart can hold her own against a variety of opponents, so long as she carries her plasma cannon into the fray.  Her accuracy with a gun is unmatched, except for by maybe Irvine Kinneas.  Both her eyes and hair are brown, and she wears a silver suit of armor as well as a holster for holding her fearsome firearms.  A little known fact about Amber is that she is claustrophobic and therefore hates confinement to small spaces.  A relatively unemotional person, she seems to be devoid of interest in anything save Nathan.

 

 ~Claud Fremont~

         Claud’s ego is just as big as his biceps.  Pompous and conceited, Claud is shunned by many and appreciated by few.  Even so, he tends to regard himself as a lady-killer nonetheless.  Underneath the beret resting on top of his head, Claud has spiky blonde hair much in the style of Cloud Strife from FF7.  His eyes are a deep blue and he is garbed in simple military fatigues, but on occasion he is known to dress up as a king (complete with robe and crown) and use his so-called authority to boss the others around.  Amy is the one person who understands him, and since she is just as vain they make a perfect match.

 

~Sahlin Ishan~

The 18-year-old princess of her native tribe, Sahlin is a quiet, timid girl who shows no desire to socialize with outsiders.  She has long black hair and slate gray eyes, and wears the same primitive hide tunic everyday.  A veil covers most of her mouth and face.   She is extremely obedient of her mother, Chief Goben.  Sahlin possesses great talents in the arts of healing.  Her shyness contributes to her perceived image as a loner, but no one knows what she really feels inside.  Maybe there’s more to her than meets the eye.

 

~Jeremy Walker~

Nathan’s half-brother is the youngest and most reckless of the lot at a mere 13 years of age.  He has hazel eyes and spiky reddish-brown hair. His casual attire consists of a plain white T-shirt and black shorts with a black sweatshirt tied around his waist.  You’d probably never suspect him to be a technological whiz kid, but he is.  In fact, he shares such empathy for machinery that he has formed a bond with the previously emotionless C.Y.B.E.R.  .               

           

~Joy Elreth~

                    15-year-old Joy is an optimistic, hyperactive individual who is very social and can never stop smiling.  She has sparkling blue eyes and her blonde hair is kept in a ponytail similar to Amber and Lynn.  She wears a bright pink tunic all day long.  No matter how bad of a situation she’s in, Joy succeeds in keeping her spirits high and looking on the bright side of everything. She may be short, but is significantly heavy due to her tremendous appetite.  Currently she is engaged in a romance (well, sort of) with Jason Saroe, but she is known to be twofaced and shouldn’t be trusted when it comes to the affections of others.

 

~Jared Bantel~

                    Jared is 15 years old and is already considered by many local girls to be quite a handsome young man.  He has fine chocolate-colored hair and dreamy gray eyes.  Jared typically wears a black tank top and jeans wherever he goes.  Having been born and raised on the streets, he has forever been reviled by the elite of society, who frequently refer to him as “ratty.”  In spite of it all, he retains a caring personality and a kind heart, which is completely devoted to his girlfriend Lynn.    His love for her knows no bounds, and he might be too perfect for his own good.

 

 

~Goben Ishan~

                Sahlin’s 42-year-old mother is the chief of her clan, the environmentally inclined Potowan Tribe.  She is gothic and wears a black cape and black armor with a red crescent moon on the front to contrast with her dark personality.  Unsurprisingly, she has black hair and her eyes have a tint of red to them.  Goben is a huge grouch and just can’t stand the idea of fun.  Sahlin tolerates her out of fear, whereas most people simply view her as a party-pooper.  She hates being called a witch, because technically speaking she is a sorceress (just like Edea!).

 

~Hedo Hedo~

        Hedo is the wise 100,000–year-old protector of the world, but he exists in the body of a 30-year-old man.  He has gray hair and jade green eyes.  He wears a golden necklace and a hooded robe the color of this text.  The mystical aura surrounding him is in the shape of a deformed star.  Hedo’s full name is Hedo H. Hedo (brownie points if you can guess what the H. stands for).  As powerful and respected a figure he is, Hedo is actually a goofball and loves to make a fool out of himself.  He is a nonstop source of laughs and amusement, but isn’t nearly as smart as he is thought to be.

 

~Brian Longtree~

        Hence his namesake, Brian is the tallest at a whopping 6 feet 5 inches!  He is a buff 27-year-old knight protected by a tough metal suit of armor and kneepads.  He believes that there is no battle impossible to win, and he certainly has reason to do so.  Brian has an extremely aggressive nature and refuses to lose at any competition.  He is also fiercely loyal and a good friend of Nathan.

 

~Jason Saroe~

        Jason is the same age as Jared and Joy (15 if you have a short term memory).  He is Joy’s male counterpart, with identical hair and eyes and an equally dumpy stature.  Strangely enough, he has the exact opposite personality of her.  Always sullen and depressed, Jason’s melancholy disposition borders on the edge of suicidal.  His lack of optimism bothers Joy immensely, and he has absolutely no romantic interest whatsoever.  You might wonder whether or not they like each other at all!

 

~Lynn Anter~

        Princess Lynn is an angelic 16-year-old girl with jet-black hair and curious brown eyes.  She wears a pure white dress almost down to her toes.  Jared is her love and life, and she is practically never seen without him.  Lynn is similar to Jared in that she is generally a likeable person. Occasionally, she has the tendency to act stubborn to anyone who pisses her off.  She is a contradiction on the behalf of most princesses, which serves to assert the fact that she is unique and independent.  Some may see her as prissy, but Jared would tell you otherwise.

 

~Amy Fremont~

        As stated earlier, Claud’s 19-year-old wife is just as vain and egotistical as he is.  Amy has red hair and hazel eyes.  As if you couldn’t already tell what her favorite color is, Amy is clad in revealing red armor.   When her husband pretends to be a king, Amy dresses up as a queen and starts shouting orders at anyone who gets in her way. She is cocky, sluttish, and shares Claud’s intense hatred (or is it jealousy?) of Lynn and Jared.  She enjoys teasing and harassing her two rivals greatly, and no matter how much she is insulted she gives as much as she takes.

 

~C.Y.B.E.R.~

        Carbon Yttrium Boron Electric Robot (or C.Y.B.E.R. for short) is a novelty in that he has feelings.  He is crafted of shiny red material, complicated mechanisms adorn his chest, and one of his arms is outfitted with a deadly beam cannon that makes a funny noise when its’ charging up to fire.  Jeremy implanted in him an experimental microchip designed to simulate the effects of human emotions.  C.Y.B.E.R.  wants attention and if he doesn’t receive it he’ll do nothing at all until he does.  This causes him to be perceived as boring and selfish (Hedo calls him a “miserable poop”) but he is capable of being friendly and open.  Jeremy is his one true companion.

 

~King Demi~

        Bad to the bone, King Demi is Elozar’s nefarious partner in crime.  He is an ugly six-winged demon that spews a trail of blood from his mouth. The typical evil sidekick, King Demi usually ends up doing Elozar’s dirty work for him.  Whenever he feels pleasure, King Demi’s cheeks inflate and he transforms into his alter ego King Puffy, whose vocabulary is basically limited to “Mmf mmf mmf!”  He delights in the torture of others and seeks to rule the world at his master’s side.  He and Elozar seldom run short of harebrained evil plans to spring on their unsuspecting victims, but seldom do they succeed.  He is a villain, after all! 

 

  

~Elozar~

        Elozar is 100% evil.  He is bizarre in that he was once a human but was transformed into a mushroom-like creature as the result of a curse put upon him by a mysterious and powerful magician. Ludicrous he may be, but it would be unwise to misjudge Elozar for fear of provoking the wrath of his incredibly strong magic.  Devious and cunning, Elozar devises a countless number of schemes that he carries out with the aid of his accomplice King Demi.  Of course he usually gets his just desserts, but this doesn’t stop him from coming back twice as determined the next time around!
