I woke up this morning and thought of you

Your wonderful smile and the light in your eyes

I picked up the phone and dialed as we do

I just wanted to call and say I loved you

The phone rang once and then twice

I stood there listening impatiently awhile

And then a soft voice that was sweet and nice

Answer as I was about to think up, my demise.

I listened to the soft sound of all my hopes

As you whispered half asleep into the telephone

I heard the question in the silent tone of your notes

I heard the slight rustling as you gathered your thoughts

I smiled and softly whisper as the soft breeze blew in..

I just wanted to call and say I love you.

I Do Believe

I do believe god created you for me to love.

He picked you out from all the rest,

because he knew I'd love you best.

My heart was brave and true

but now its gone from me to you,

take care of it as I have done

for you have two and I have none.

If I should die before I wake,

I pray the lord my soul to take.

If I go to heaven and your not there,

I'll wait for you on the golden stair.

If your not there by judgement day,

I'll know youve gone the other way.

Distance

I think that this is too good to be true

this is just a fantasy world built for two,

I think that the world has other things to do

than to spend time worring about me and you.

I think that the stars in the sky

will somehow find out about this lie,

I think they will fall to the earth as they cry

or maybe just simply lay down and die.

But if our distant love is true as we hope it is

then the skies will open the heavens and bless,

the two people in love in our myst

with a shower of happiness and a soft heavenly kiss.
