first star I see tonight

Stars in heaven shining bright

bring my love to me tonight

if he lives within your sight

force him back with all your might

As dawn breaks within the twilight

I look to the heavens for my light

And I know that through the night

I lost him that made my stars shine bright.

From a land of dreams and hopes she comes seeking peace and tranquility. Her mind filled with old memories as she walks about a new land alone. She speaks to no one and seeks no company. She glances to all that pass as she sees their pain in their eyes. Wishing only that the pain would leave and all would be well. As a young girl she learned about pain and wishes no one experience it as she did. Time would tell in the end.

She was born on the year of the dragon to Darq and Rose Starlight in the realm beyond the sea from this land she traveled to. As a young girl she had wanted for nothing as her parents had provided and protected her. Her father teaching her the arts of magic and her mother teaching her the arts of healing. She had sat patiently for hours on end watching and learning hoping to master the gifts her parents had given her. She also had a younger brother named Devin who was mischievous and always into things. The Island was happy as she grew until the 15th summer of her life. She would remember always as the blood and anguish as it surfaced in her dreams. Two things happened that summer, one brought an end to her brother they other ended her way of life. The one that she remembers most is the day her parents died.

It was one hot and humid day that her parents died. Warriors from the surrounding land had invaded her their island in search of precious stones which were found in the mountain above her home. To her the mountains were a sacred place which she believed housed the gods themselves for they were beautiful. During the afternoon as the sun began to set, the mountains would glittered like diamonds and this is what had brought the wrath on their island. The glitters as she later learned came from the stones covering the mountains. The stones that would bring about the death of her world.

The men came to the island as they sat on the shores. Upon seeing them her and her mother ran into the trees. She watched first her father die at their hands as the blades of their swords ended his life mercifully, but her mothers pain would be far worse and even harder to forget. She watched as her mother ran out of hiding to her father and she watched as they tortured and did unspeakable things to her. When the time came for her to die she closed her eyes and prayed staying silent and hidden in the trees.

Several days passed as she waited for their return. Then came the day the men came back from the mountain. They carried bags of the precious stones from the mountains. Her heart cried again in anguish at the loss of her parents. The men left the island and left nothing behind them except the torn and battered live of the one that remain. She silently buried her parents behind the cabin they called home and built a small raft. She then she sailed to the land called Rhydin. Yet nothing in this land to this day had given her hope of finding that what she seached for.....Maybe love had died as her family had so long ago.
