As Jack fell he grasps a rope and slowly began to
climb back onto the deck. She stood and
watched the horizon as the island came into view in the distance and the
winds seemed to laugh as she felt the pull from her
homeland. Marion turned to Jack as he came back
on board and sighed...."What happened?" Jack smiled and in a teasing tone
answered..."Stupid giant squid is what happened." Then he
laughed and hugged her as he pulls
an arrow from his side and drops the bloody arrow on the deck. He looked
out into the horizon as said almost
silently..."something definitely doesn't want us here." Then he
turned to Artimus and spoke up..."oh Artimus, there's a reef about a
hundred yards away. Atimus looked out to sea and
spotted the Island.
He turned to Lady Fair .."Cef get to the Crows
nest, see if the island hides any defences"...and then he threw her a spyglass. She catches
the glasses and started to climb.
In the mean time Marion placed her hand on Jack's wound and as her
pendant glowed the wound healed. Lady Fair looked to
jack and then back to Artimus as she climbed
as Jack spoke...with sarcasm in his voice... "we have to stop here
Artimus or else the ship will be wrecked and I don't want to
have to repair it." Artimus looked to Jack
reassuringly.. "We'll get through it". As she watched Mystique could
see the island was covered in darkness and she sighed
silently, she looked to the dark clouds as the
island sat in the darkness the reefs around the island hidden from view
barely visible through the stormy waters as the winds
blew the ship slowly to the reef. |

Artimus yelled up to Lady Fair...."Cef find me a
hole through the reef" As she reached the
top she yelled back to him "ok! ok!" Jack looked to Marion and
said.."see I'm fine baby and kissed her cheek softly. Marion turned to him and
smiled..."Well now you are..Do
nae do that again... scaring me half to death.." she said as the pendant
returns to normal.." Jack turned to her and winked..."aye
I shalt not marion." Artimus trying to steer
grabs the wheel skirting the reef. Lady Fair yells suddenly from the
tower.."go west!" now..Now! In all the excitement
Mystique looked back to the couple and sighed as she
looked out into the sea. Artimus turned to Jack and said.."Jack! get
on the Balista just incase and Jack looked to him
..."alright."and headed for the balista as Lady Fair
yelled down once again..."We are headed for rocks" Artimus turns the
wheel at Cefs signal.
The winds began to move stongly as they hit the
sails rocking the ship dangerously...Artimus turned to Marion..."Marion Get below"
he yelled as he feared for her
safety.. and heard Lady Fair yell as she pointed to the west..."there is a
reef up ahead!" Mystique held on to the rail staring at
her home and smiled as Marion sighs rising to
her feet looking toward Jack and moves down the stairs down a small
hallway stopping at door, she opened it and stepped into
the room. Artimus at theis time was trying to
guide the ship through the reefs as he turns the sails to the their
advantage and uses the wind to their advantage. Jack
looking to the sea from the balista concentrates. Mistique looked to the darkness and sighed sadly
as it moved to ward the ship she
held the rail and climbed it, she looked back to them and then
jumped in to the stormy sea as the winds steadily pushed the
ship to the reefs.
Artimus thinking she was on the railing
yelled..."Misti there are lanterns below" as Lady Fair
yelled once morefrom the crow's nest..."there is a clearing up ahead to go
to the island" As Jack looked around into the waters he uses his
telekenisis to make sure
nothing goes wrong. As Artimus realized what Mystique had done he
turned to Jack...."What's she doing, Jack! steer for me. The
winds died down as Mystique hit the waters below and the darkness returned to the island
as she swam toward it "Alright ..said
Jack as he goes to the wheel and uses his tk powers to steer the
ship Artimus goes to where Misti jumped in and jumped in after
her. Mystique swam against the waters
going home and taking the danger to the ship with her as he followed. Lady
Fair on the crow's nest continue giving direction
to Jack below ....."turn east in two knots..turn east in Two Knots she repeated into the winds as
Jack turns the ship east two
knots. |

Marion tries to gaze out but can hardly see
anything except land and ocean... then heard a
splash as Mystique jumped. Artimus jumped into the raging sea where
mystique had jumps and swam after her..As Lady Fair called out
...Land. Artimus caught up
to Mystique and he looked to her and smiled.."this is a really bad idea,
the ship can take the abuse babe. I modified it for
the winds" She looked to him as they thread
the waters and sighed ..."no it wasn't it was the only way to get the
winds away from the ship that would have sent it into the
reef like all the others no ship ever got through
."she looked to him and sighed ... "its ok now"She turned and began
to swim toward the island. Artimus reached out and grabbed
her as he said...Cef can handle the reef, she's good at what she does" he then turned to see
the ship as Jack used his telekinesis to help the ship along without hitting the
reef. He used his psi powers to split a
hole in the reef big enough for the ship, expending most of his
energy and as it approached Artimus called out .."Jack... rope he
then grabs her as he said .."We don't know
what's on that island let's wait for the others." Jack eases the
ship into the opening of the coral and answered.. aye.
Mystique pulled away and sighed as Artimus grabbed
her then she looked to him silently and sighed as she whispered..."as you
wish. Marion looked down at the sea as she sighs pacing
back and forth as she hated what was
happening. Lady Fair looked to the Island and called down to Jack ..."port
straight ahead. The ship continued to make it's way to shore as
Artimus and misty waited
for the rope to be thrown down to them. Jack then used his powers to
levitate artimus and misti and floats them over to where he
is standing and sets them both down
beside him as he slowly brought the ship to a
stop. |
