~Helmet (EX20 armor) has Starlite nightvision (RM night vision) and filter/rebreather. 

~Armored plates on costume provide body armor (EX body armor). 

~Weapons include razor-sharp Batarangs fired from wrist gauntlet (EX damage-6 areas); decel monofilament cord jumplines and grapnels fired from gauntlets (provide a form of web-slinging-3 areas/turn, cord is IN strength); gas capsules (EX smokescreen).

~The points of his cape are weighted for use as an offensive weapon (an extra area, and an extra attack every other turn for EX blunt damage). 

~Claws-provide ability to make edged attacks, etc.

~Razor sharp Costume vestiges on gauntlets/boots inflict RM damage on those who get to near while unprotected, or those he is blocking

In the relatively short time that he has identified himself as Azrael, Jean Paul Valley has sought to come to grips with the System, posthypnotic suggestions implanted by the Order of St. Dumas to transform him into its assassin and avenging angel. As the substitute Batman, Jean Paul succeeded where Bruce Wayne failed, stopping the Venom-maddened Bane and host of Arkham Asylum escapees until the System and his own psychoses drove him over the edge abd the mantle of the Bat was reclaimed by Wayne. Much later, with Batman's help, Azrael embarked on a journey to uncover his true origins, a quest that paired him with the alcoholic ex-psychiatrist Brian Bryan and the renegade Sister Lilhy of the Order of St. Dumas.
