Formerly part of the elite military Team 7, Cole Cash gained mysterious and deadly powers. Under Sister Zealot's guidance, he trained as a Coda and rejected the Gen formula-based powers driving him mad. Together they joined the WildC.A.T.S and fought the war against the alien Daemonites. end description VAD PP30s: Grifter's personal handgun, Grifter always carries two but he has access to more. He can shoot with both his hands in a round at no penalty. He has an additional +1CS with the VAD PP30s and inflicts 20 energy damage. As a side affect, armor of those hit is reduced by 2 ranks. VAD Hypercannon: A heavier weapon Grifter sometimes carries, he also gets the +1CS and inflicts 40 energy damage, armor of those hit is reduced by 3 ranks. Hold-out pistol: Grifter has several concealed guns on his person, they enable 1 additional shooting attack for 15 damage when in close combat (this is only if he is engaged in a non-ranged combat and is considered a sneak attack when he pulls his gun. He only gets this additional attack for 1 round.) end equipment Grifter is a human although he is far from normal. As a former member of Team 7, there are powerful forces at work within him though he long ago yielded up use of them..and only rarely taps into what is known as ‘The Rush'. The only people who were aware of Grifter's Gen-Active status were his former Team-7 comrades, Zealot and I/O. Though as time progressed in the Wildstorm Universe, his fellow WildC.A.T.S. and others would come to know about what he is capable of. A Gen-12, Grifter's body, along with the other Team 7 members, contains a rare isotope known as the Gen- Factor, that grants him the potential for superhuman powers. Like most of the other Team 7 members, this power manifests itself within him as devesatingly powerful raw psionic energies. When another telepath sensed these powers in use, she literally described them as primal and intensly pleasurable..for her at least. Use of these powers has for many driven them insane. While some Team 7 members were able to use their abilities either in part or in whole..many who I/O tested the Gen-Factor on would eventually grow insane from the terrible effects. Grifter is not capable of telepathic commincation or any simple or gentle applications of psionic abilities. H is are described as a ‘psionic sledgehammer' so powerful that was considered raw psionic energy. Working together with other Team 7 members. This power was great enough to repel the blast of a ground zero Nuclear blast. The side effects of using this power however are terrible to say the least. It was nicknamed The Rush due to the effect that the use of it is likened unto a drug. Raw, telekinetic, energy twisting and wielding power that if left unchecked can ravage the mind and body of the wielder..driving him to insanity. Though later, certain factors among some of the Team 7 members would enable them to get more control over these abilities and bring them under control. (Dane's symbiote, Backlashes Kheribum half..etc.) Grifter would never get that luxury, and so surpresses his abilities by sheer force of will alone. Perhaps a side effect of Grifter's latent gen-active abilities..is the ability to sense the presence and t he life forces of others, as well as determine their relative power level. He was able to tell Voodoo was putting out raw power at the Hot Spot, and determine that she was using some sort of psionic ability there just for starters. As a result..unless you're a Bio Synthetic Entity..or a robot..or have someway of masking your bodies aura and life sense..it is virtually impossible to sneak up on..or surprise Grifter as he always retains an awareness of someone being there. -Skills- Grifter's skills are..numerous and of the WildC.A.T.S. he is probably the most expierenced member in terms of skill and combat knowledge, barring Zealot who is older then human civilization, and techincally Emp although Emp remembers precious little as far as detail about his immortal life. He is without a doubt, one of the best marksmen in the Wildstorm universe. Capable of numerous trick shots and impossible shots that most others wouldn't be able to dream of performing. He is a skilled hand to hand combatant. Fluent in military combat and also trained in the arts of the Coda by Zealot herself. His human attributes are at their peak. Most men cannot hold a torch to him for very long in hand to hand combat, though there are some out there who could take him down one on one.
