HISTORY: Mer-Man lord of the Sea. King of the Sea People, a race that is part human but covered in scales . He lives in his underground lair underneath Devil Falls in the Sapphire Mountains with his servants the Fish Men. He claims his Lord to be Skeletor yet never seems that bothered to please him.

Mer Man is never seen to be more evil than when he is in control. He has a bitter hatred of Man-at-Arms who once freed one of his prisoners (hinted to be Teela's father). He has never forgotten this and tried to seek revenge once by sacrificing Teela to the demon Bakull. Inevitably his plan failed and he returned to his murky den. Mer Man is the reason the Sorceress gave away Teela as he knew that the Sorceress had a daughter and would do anything to get his webbed claws upon her.
