Omega Red can suck the life force out of everyone in the same area as himself, and can use use this energy to regain lost health up to his maximum. To affect a target, Omega Red must first succeed at a power FEAT against the intensity of the victim's Psyche. Each successful FEAT allows Omega Red to drain up to 50 points from each victim until he regains his normal maximum health. If the target's health drops below zero as a result, the victim dies and his body disintegrates. (Amazing)
Lethal Pheromones: Omega Red can release a cloud of pheromones that causes people to feel ill and collapse. Anyone in the same area as Omega Red will be affected, and potential victims must succeed at an Excellent intensity Endurance FEAT or be rendered unconscious for 1d10 turns. Characters with sealed systems, or who do not breath are unaffected. (Remarkable)

Weakness: Omega Red must continually feed on life force to survive. He looses 10 health points an per hour, which can only be restored by draining new Health from living victims. If his health drops to 0, he enters a death-like comma and cannot be revived without the voluntary self-sacrifice of a number of beings whose combined Health points total at least six times Omega Red's original Health. This weakness is due to Omega Reds Pheremone Spores attacking himself. if he ever gets the carbonadium synthesizer, this weakness will end.

HISTORY:
Omega Red was a homicidal killer before he got involved with the SIA in Russia. Generation X’s leader Banshee used to be an agent for “Interpol” and was tracking Arkady for numerous murders about 25 years ago (1970’s). During their “final” confrontation, Arkady killed a female inspector companion of Banshee’s, so he shot at him like mad, but wasn’t able to kill him. Banshee then turned him over to the authorities, but that’s when the SIA located and got their hands on Arkady and made some “improvements” to his body and create Omega Red.

The SIA gave Red his coils, trademark red armor, and genetic mutation/manipulation. Arkady was to be Russia’s super soldier, but before he could do his damage, a secret task force assembled of Wolverine, Maverick, and Sabertooth was sent to steal the Carbonadium synthesizer from the SIA. The Carbonadium synthesizer was a device that could stop Red’s death spores from attacking himself, thus making him the perfect living weapon. Without the synthesizer, the SIA realized that Red would be pretty much useless, so they froze him.

During the early 1990’s, enemies of Wolverine (Matsu’O and the Hand) recovered and revived Omega Red to use as their weapon. His first objective was to locate Wolverine and learn of the location of the Carbonadium synthesizer. But Wolverine has no memory of the past and apparently doesn’t even remember Omega Red at all. Soon with the help of Maverick and the X-men, Omega Red was defeated.

More than once, Omega Red has been the pawn to several X-men villains, such as Soul Skinner and Magneto’s Acolytes. Usually, he’s promised the Carbonadium synthesizer, a device like the Carbonadium synthesizer, or just under mind control. But all of those incidents usually end with the X-men triumphing and Red making his escape.

After the incident with the Acolytes, Red was looking for Revenge against Banshee, but was stopped by Chamber, who is immune to the death spores. Recently he’s been attacking the three guys who’ve got him put on ice in the first place, Wolverine, Maverick, and Sabertooth. Red was trying to capture Sabertooth so he could exchange him for the Carbonadium synthesizer to a woman whose parent’s were killed by Sabertooth. He was also a hired goon in cases that involved Maverick, and then he was hired by the Russian military to take care of a few loose ends, namely Wolverine, Colossus, Nightcrawler, and a freakish mutant known as Nikolas.
