Been hounded all my life
Burdened with the hate and greed
Of those among that strife
People that I treasured most
Now rest inside their graves
Dug shallow for their haste to die
And for the future paves
My mother gone in her own grave
My cousin's time has come
My former love now rests in peace
To watch our unborn son
Lives thrown away into the wind
Now scatter to the earth
Another funeral has passed
Which shows us our life's worth
If life and death hang in balance
And the scales are badly placed
A person's life can mean nothing
Except another waste
