Tolerance

Parents looking at their children,
Telling them good-bye,
As they await unwelcome death,
Asking a single question,
'Why?"

Looking amongst the dead,
Wanting to find a fimiliar face,
Their eyes, full of fears and tears,
Asking themselves a single question,
"Why?"

Hiding between the dead,
Silent, for her sake,
To avoid certain death,
Asking herself a single question,
"Why?"

Standing in the gas chamber,
All the victims can be heard,
Muttering prayers in disbelief,
Asking God a single question,
"Why...?"
