G'deon finishes with the duty roster and gives the candidates a satisfied smile. "If any of you would care to help me repair and replace some of Nylanth's riding straps, we would both be extremely grateful. I've put it off far too long now. Don't worry, no experience required." And volunteering for something that isn't so bad gets you out of things like ash pit and latrine duty.
Quiet Philosophers - G'deon and Zorana chat about life or something like it. (15. November 2002) New!
"Shy?" G'deon echoes, head tilting just a bit more as he peers at Zorana. "Well, admitting you are is the first step towards overcoming it. Or something." He ponders this for a moment, but not too seriously by the look on his face. Ex-smiths and messengers are not known for their bouts of deep philosophy. "Not that being shy is bad. It's kinda cute." Sun-bleached brows bounce up as Gid straightens in an almost giddy fashion. "I read one like that once. Like... a group of women... sisters but not, you know?" Don't worry, his storytelling talents are better than that. "Mostly I just hang out with the weyr kids, but every now and then on a slow night...." Out comes that roguish smile.

G'deon actually... blushes a little. Just a bit, and you'd have to be looking to see it, but the tiny smile he shoots towards Laytai is a bit bemused. "Thank you, Laytai. That's the nicest thing anyone's said to me all month. Of course, Nyls will probably say I'm getting too big for my britches again and toss me in the lake now." He takes a bite of stew and ponders. "Too bad you can't do that to a dragon. He gets the funniest ideas about himself sometimes." And Gid is off to a fine ramble this afternoon. "Fort Weyr, huh? That's the one by Fort Hold." Oooh look, Gid plays smart. Of course, he /has/ to play at it. "How old is Tieran?"
