Logfile from G'deon

Central Bowl (#3812)
Seven spindles brush the clouds -- quite literally -- overhead, a jagged, spired cotillion grey-stoned majesty. The bowl from here is expansively large, extending a full half mile in both directions, and although sometimes a bit of a stretch, most of the hubs of activity can be easily observed. Hard-packed ground shows the common pathways, all of them meandering about the craggy bunch of boulders that form a centerpiece: carven, hand-worn and foothold-full, it gives a bit of centerpoint to the otherwise vast emptiness of the area.
To the north lie the hatching grounds and leadership weyrs, while the lows of herdbeasts mark the feeding pens to the northeast. A flurry of ever-present activity marks the living caverns to the west, and another time-traveled path the ground weyrs just adjacent to the southwest. Southeast, a glint of blue shows the lake, glittering and cold.
It is a summer before dawn. The air is calm and a bit chilly still. The sky overhead is clear, and a constellation of stars dust the sky from horizon to horizon.
Clinging to footholds in the boulder-mound are sixteen firelizards.
Green Kelitath, green Zoryanth, gold Chayath, blue Sakuruth, bronze Jhanath, green Zaqith, bronze Rixesith, brown Druseth, green Miravith, blue Lainnoth, green Alymath, brown Mneoth, blue Cerdith, and blue Rhajath are here.
You see a wagonmaster, George Dubya bush, Trash n Treasures, and Trey's Trumbling Wagon here.
Khena, Reiko, and Chelle are here.
Obvious exits:
Pens -- Northern Bowl -- Caverns -- Ground Weyrs -- Lakeside -- Guards HQ

Chelle lands on the ground with a *umph*, turning to pat Rhajath, the standard after-flying procedure. "Okay, now find you a good warm spot, and get some sun. That blue on your neck /could/ be brighter." she teases, smiilng up at him before turning towards her fellow weyrlings. "Well, well.../last/ day as weyrlings..actually, not even a day! How're you all?" she asks as she walks to join them.

Ayamizureth drops in from above, landing with a light *thud*.

Loe slinks carefully over sinew'd neck, squirming along stony hide and landing on the ground with an oomph.

Khena is standing tip-toe, hanging onto Mneoth's straps for balance as she reaches up to scratch the klah-brown neckridges. "You just /had/ to go and get an itch when I'd already dismounted," she mutters, stopping the scratching to slump against the brown side, blinking at the people who'd suddenly appeared around her.

Cerdith backwings to land a bit away from the others gathered, Reiko still blinking sleep from her eyes. At least she doesn't look as tousled as she feels, slipping to the ground with a light thud and a puff of dust and tucking a stray chunk of hair behind one ear. Chelle's greeting is returned with a twisted halfsmile and a nod. "Quite well, thanks," she says lightly, not bothering to add 'tired'. "You?" The muttering Khena gets a sidelong glance, unconsciously appraising, but no comment. Cerdith ambles to one side, furling his wings against his back with a flourish and finding a comfortable place to wait.

MOO Time: 2001-10-20 11:33:28

Skeseth drops in from above, landing with a light *thud*.

Sua slips down silently, hitting the ground without a sound with little help from Skeseth.

Serafa walks in.

Chelle grins, eyes sparkling with excitement at the day to come, "Oh, I'm fine." she waves it off, though the wave of her right hand brings a bit of a grimace to her face. Ouch! She looks the others over, "Everybody looks so different now that the uniforms are gone!" she observes.

Yajisarath meanders in from the north.

Yajisarath pulls her wings in tightly as she lowers her upper body towards the ground, allowing Lorsalia to dismount.

Sua tries her best to dismount, grumbling softly at the tight new leathers that prevent her from too much movement. A few audible curses can be heard, that and the chittering of something under the brownling's jacket. "You already ate, 'Seth, so don' be thinking of 'ny excuses." Hand soflty thumps the brown's side, boots slidding on the ground as the young woman makes her trun, narrowed eyes soon softening to the sight of fellow weyrlings, a slow smile twitching on her lips. "'M not late, am I?" She could always be late, of course...

Ayamizureth trundles in from the direction of the pens, making herself quite comfortable in some as-yet unoccupied spot of the bowl, leaving Loe to shuffle across half of it in order to make her way to those /other/ people. "You can't be /helpful/, no. Now I Have to go and get all dusty and I look stupid and you're really not helpful." Loe grumbles loudly, even as Aya folds her wings back and falls asleep. Wake her up when the good stuff starts. "Hmph."

"No... No more, Mneoth," Khena says, taking a deep breath as she pushes off the brown's side, looking over the other weyrlings, no longer in uniform. "It's good to be out of uniform," she notes, rolling a shoulder in a shrug, then stands tip-toe again to reach her lifemate's itchy spot again. "You really coulda told me for I dismounted..."

Kearneth drops in from above, landing with a light *thud*.

Zylpheth drops in from above, landing with a light *thud*.

Rianne is politely but /very/ firmly slid off Kearneth's neck and to the ground with a gentle thud.

Kh'ryn slides down from the cloudy peaks of Zylpheth's neck, leaving the breathtaking view behind.

Lorsalia dismounts in a flood of jingles from the bells she and Yajisarath wear. Hitting the ground, the rider adjusts her pink jacket, redoing some of the lower-upper buttons so that cleavage might not show too much. "There, Jisa." She huffs, glaring at the golden green. "What else do you want me to do? Wrap myself in a blanket or something?" Already, though, the sixteen Turn old is removing the strips of pink leather from around her wrists and ankles, then stuffing the belled things into one of the saddle bags on her lifemate's straps.

Neolyth drops in from above, landing with a light *thud*.

Kh'ryn slides down from his quiet dragon; the blue's regular greetings and chatter towards the other dragons kept to a bare minimum. Khor, on the other hand, is smiling softly, though that grin doesn't quite reach his eyes. "G'morning all," he greets, coming up to G'deon and patting him heartedly on the back. "Fine day, is it not?" The pat on the back seems to have double meaning, as though the blond man is trying to tell the older rider something.... A gesture that nearly states, 'We need to talk.'

Serafa stumbles along behind Chelle, keeping to her shadow's as much as possible, not really knowing anyone at High Reaches really cept for the ex-nanny she just kinda turns shy, after all she really doesnt want to impose on thier special day or anything, a smile and a wave is offered to all and sundry, at least she was polite.

Cadgwith drops in from above, landing with a light *thud*.

Reiko gives Chelle another look, as if just reminded to do so, emerald gaze sweeping appreciatively over the blueling's leathers. "Indeed," she says wryly, a twisted smirk curling the corners of her lips. But she's distracted by more muttering, and her gaze slides sidelong to check out Sua as she approaches, finding the stiffness of the new leathers oddly amusing. "No, not late," she replies lightly. "Just in time, I think. In fact, I was just going inside." She eyes the approaching dragons and riders with thinly veiled interest, then turns to head for the caverns.

S'cen slides from Neolyth's neck and lands gently on the ground.

Kamoku blinks in from ::between::!

Issryuith drops in from above, landing with a light *thud*.

Hiza is removed from Issryuith's neck, sliding down and gaining assitantance from tail if need be.

Reiko saunters to the Caverns.

Chelle nods agreement at Khena, "Definitely good to be out of them, though I don't know if /these/ are any better. I suppose they better be, they're so expensive!" Of course she's gotta gripe about the cost! She takes a peek back at Rhajath, but he's comfy, it looks like, curled up in a hot spot where he can see everything and relax at the same time. Bells cause her to turn and grin as she notes Lorsalia and her pink leathers. She just rolls her eyes. It's to be understood. Reiko's look makes her get a bit pink, as usual, but she turns to Serafa without saying anything to Reiko. Might as well act like it's an everyday occurance.... "Busy around here, isn't it, Serafa?"

Pyrene carefully descends the cliff of Cadgwith's shoulder and foreleg until she's safely on land again.

Rianne flies in from the upper regions of the sky, just before another dragon who seems to be hot on her heels, Kearneth turning playful loops and turns in midair as if attempting to not only show off, but to enjoy doing it, with a rider who almost unwillingly seems to smile as he glides in for a landing with a flourish on the ground just in front of Kh'ryn and Zylpheth with a triumphant sound. "Good morning everyone," Rianne calls out almost on a forced cheerful note, looking back over her shoulder at Kh'ryn. "It is absolutely lovely....." As she looks up, she sees a brown dragon fly into land and a real smile comes over her face. "S'cen!" Rianne calls, running forward towards him.

Farleth drops in from above, landing with a light *thud*.

T'am slides from Farleth's neck with a bit 'o help from the bronze, and lands safely on the ground.

Zaphyr blinks in from ::between::, a flurry of white wings and watercolor streaked blue hide.

D'renn walks in.

Pyrene hops awkwardly down Cadgwith's side, trying to keep her skirts straight. "Hello, hello... hello?" she greets friend and stranger alike, once she's safely landed. Cadgwith twists her head about her as she settles herself, making sure she doesn't squash some innocent bystander. She is not however taking a seat at the back. Anybody wanting to see will have to see /around/ her.

Trydanth lands... D'renn slithers down... Trydanth taks off again. "Morning all!" he greets the bowl at the top of his voice, brushing down his smart tunic as he heads towards the assembling group.

Lorsalia and Yajisarath seem to notice Kh'ryn and Zylpheth at the same moment and, simulatneously, they hiss under their breaths. How could they have flirted with /them/ just a week ago? But, oh look! "T'am!" Lors calls, skipping over to the bronzerider, almost silently without the bells. "I was afraid you weren't going to come at /all/." She exaggerates, sticking herself to his side. "And that just wouldn't do."

Reiko steps out from the Weyr's living caverns.

Sua attempts to adjust her new leathers, tugging here-- well, if she can actually get them to make a difference. A small piece of redfruit is taken from a hidden pocket, the treat held to her shoulder where the slim form of a ferret is lured out from her jacket and into place. "There you go, Lati." Her smile brightens, bobbing her head back over to the other weyrlings, examing each in turn. "Seems to be quite a display out in the bowl. 'Lings no longer in uniform an' all..." Sigh. She leans back against the awaiting form of her lifemate.

Hiza shivers a tad, bouncing toward the others after giving a pat to Issryuith, cheerful as ever. "Goooood morning!" comes her voice for everybody to hear. A wrinkle in her not-new leathers is smoothed out idly, and hair untucked from ear before she enquires rather generally with, "How is everyone and their lifemate?" Cheer.

Pyrene tips her head back in an exaggerated shudder. Blueriders. Everywhere. "Lorsalia... T'am... Hiza... Sua... Khena..." she moves among a select few of the weyrlings, shaking hands and hugging.

Reiko returns with klah and a greatly improved disposition, but still remains a good distance apart from the others. For now. Some distance away, Cerdith lifts his head and greets her with a tuneful warble that brings a not-even-twisted smile to her face.

Kh'ryn just seems to be getting it from all sides today, doesn't he? What is he wearing? Anti-woman repellent? Shrugging to himself, he takes a stand off to the edge, his eyes glazed as he silently communicates with his dragon. Perhaps they should just get this graduation over with, so he can find himself a good skin of Benden and retreat, alone, back to his weyr.

Chelle scuttles around to one side where she can be heard, hopefully, gesturing for Serafa to follow her. "Too crowded." she moans, not that it's any different than the weyrling barracks were, right? New leathers jacket is smoothed down just perfectly before grinning towards Hiza, "We're fine." she answers, though with all the talk, it's amazing that anybody can tell what anybody else is saying!

T'am slips off Farleth only to find a Lorsa attaching herself to his side. Well, this is cause for a pink complexion. Bronzerider grins and puts an arm around the greenrider, "Well I might not be here long, but I had to come see...everyone." Especially one particular "everyone." But the others don't go entirely unnoticed, they all get a cheerful wave.

"Hmph."

And shortly after Kearneth hits the ground, Neolyth glides in for a landing, his face as confused as any dragon's can look, but he's ok, really. S'cen chuckles and pats the brown's neck before sliding down his side. This is the right place, right? Istan Brownrider doesn't recognize anyone here... But he spins around as he hears his name called by a familiar voice, towards the direction the call came from. Yep, this is the right place. He takes the few steps forward that are required to meet the woman running towards him and greets her with a hug. "Heyya, Mari."

"Enough, Mneoth," Khena complains, shaking her head as she stops scrathcing her lifemate's neckridge to turn to the rest of the crowd. And what a crowd that's suddenly gathered. Nodding at everyone, she inches away from her brown toward her blueriding friend Kh'ryn, taking up a place next to. Edge of the crowd had always suited her after all. "Hey, Khor. How've you been?"

Weyrling, weyrlings everywhere... D'renn edges through the crowd, spotting some familiar fabric. "Pyrene," he materialises at her side. "Still wearing that dress?"

Serafa follows Chelle feeling kinda lost and well overwhelmed. "Are they always like this?" She asks hissing out of one corner of her mouth. Awkwardly she huddles behind Chelle as easy greetings and jests are shared amoung the clutchmates.

Zaphyr swoops down to hover near Serafa, chirping. Know my humanpet, know me!

Squaln walks in.

Kh'ryn looks relieved when /one/ female finally makes her way towards him; even if it is Khena. Still, she is one of his good friends, so the company is gladly welcomed. "Oh, I could be better," he replies through a half smile, before casting off the bitter tone and allowing a full grin to surface. "However, today's a new day, and it's graduation, so good for us, eh?" Beside him, a way's off, Zylph rumbles his agreement. Time to celebrate!

Yajisarath doesn't bother to near Farleth as her rider does his. Instead, she makes it a point to stay far away from the bronze and even settles close to Ayamizureth. Lorsalia manages to ignore this and beams at Pyrene from under T'am's arm. "Hiya P'rene!" She returns the greeting, blue eyes virtually sparkling with glee at her current position. Let's just hope that P'rru doesn't show up right now, is all. Then our little greenrider will be wanting to dig a hole in which to hide. "But, T'am?" She turns to ask, "Why is your face all red, huh?"

Pyrene twitches and nearly makes a dive behind Skeseth for protection. "D'renn," she addresses the weyrsecond nervously. "Yes... At these occasions I'd rather wear something that doesn't show up the dust, you know." Sua gets a nervous grin: "And I was just about to give my congratulations to Sua. Count yourself lucky my girl that you didn't have D'renn here for a weyrlingmaster."

Catia appears from ground weyr's overhung shadows.

Elehu appears from ground weyr's overhung shadows.

Touga blinks in from ::between::!

Chelle shrugs at Serafa, grinning and nodding greetings to one and all that might notice them, "I guess so...Like I said, this is a first for me, too, you know...The one where we graduated to senior weyrlings wasn't quite this...er...festive." she chuckles.

D'renn looks Pyrene up and down. "Doesn't fit you as well as it used to," he replies blithely, and then stands, hands on hips, beaming indiscriminately at weyrlings.

Hiza beams at Chelle, who was so good to answer her question, "I like your leathers." Eyes flicker toward the group, and she adds, "Everyone looks really nice in them. Like real riders." Which is what they're here for, now isn't it? "Hello Pyrene," is greeted chipperly as the goldrider makes her hello-rounds. Issryuith snorts and wiggles in her (not yet desced) straps, finding a spot suitably close for gossip sharing. Ooh, and the green's lifemate waves a hand enthusiastically as Elehu emerges, smile stretching.

Shandre steps out from the Weyr's living caverns.

Kearneth turns around and looks at Neolyth with a dragon bugle of greeting, and then is caught in S'cen's arms and twirls them around with the force she hits them with. "Heylo, Sorcen," Rianne says with a twinkling grin on her face, burying her face in his shoulder almost gratefully. "Thank Faranth you're here," she whispers, hodling him tightly and ignoring the other riders for the moment, rocking them softly back and forth, her eyes hidden far and away.

Catia strolls out of the ground weyrs, dressed for work in her leathers rather than in formal clothes like some of the others. Folding her arms, she leans against a rock outcropping, and scans the dragonets rather than the weyrlings -- presumably checking their health.

Sua seems to have found a comfortable shadow to hide in with Skeseth as the crowd begins to arrive. More and more people... Oh, that's just not such a good thing when this brownling is involved. However, she seems to be busy enough with the small creature running around on her shoulders and in her hair. Skeseth has found something else to entertain himself with, eyeing his fellow weyrlings it seems, a curious twitch coming to his tail. "'Lo Pyrene ma'am. Oh, I wouldn't think that D'renn would have been that bad... Well, 'ny 'lingmaster can be bad an' good." And the bluerider gets a look, blinking curiously.

Khena frowns at her friend's rather pessimistic answer, tilting her head at him. "You sure you're okay?" she asks, her eyes moving across the bowl to catch a glimpse of someone joining the graduation a slight smile touching her lips. "You sound... A little upset, maybe?" Eyes still on someone else, her attention is torn between being a supportive friend and getting someone else's attention.

Zizth shuffles, iridescent apple-hide showing a glimmer of illusive fuchsia pink gleaming up from beneath in from the Beach.

Pyrene lets out a startled gasp at that and glares at him. She knew she should have had a new gown commissioned. She just couldn't be bothered to go the weavers. And what was D'renn doing /remembering/ this dress anyway? "It fits me better than your green taffeta number fits you," she snipes back. "Trust me Sua. You had a lucky escape."

Reiko begins to edge her way through the crowd then, mug in hand, emerald gaze flickering warily over the impressive number of people gathered. She's always hated crowds... but at least they're in an open space, which helps. Finally she takes refuge near her lifemate, lounging indolently against the blue's shoulder and watching.

Squaln walks out.

Chelle grins back at Hiza, "Thanks...yours look nice, too." Of course, a compliment for a compliment! "It's nice to be out of uniforms." she finishes, for the second, or is it third, time in the time they've been here. Eyes continue to travel over the rest of the group, nodding slightly as she counts...Are they all here yet?

Kh'ryn is about to reply, when he sees where Khena's gaze is directed. Still grinning, he pokes the brownrider in the ribs. "Go on. Go and get her. Honestly, today I wish you more luck than ever before..." If he certainly can't win on that account, then at least one of his friends should. "I mean it. I'll be fine.. Plus, there's Reiko. I'll go and bug her for awhile..." Maybe see how a certain greenrider is doing...

Qelketh drops in from above, landing with a light *thud*.

D'renn shrugs one shoulder. "I never pretended that the green taffeta looked good on me, Weyrwoman," he answers to Pyrene, before winking at Sua. "Oh, I was a good weyrlingmaster. Don't believe a word Pyrene says."

Shirasuth drops in from above, landing with a light *thud*.

T'am beams at Pyrene and manages to avoid answering Lorsalia's question about the color of his face, which is slowly beginning to fade. He ignores Farleth's disgruntled comments about flighty greens and continues to greet everyone with a smile.

"Such a good weyrlingmaster they asked you to step down so as not to outshine everybody so, I believe?" Pyrene points out cruelly. "Now who else is here.... Anybody got family?" She'd rather do the meet and greet thing than converse with D'renn it would seem.

Sua is lucky to have Skeseth as a lifemate, at least... That is, she really doesn't have to worry about crowds all the time. A rather confusing pair of amber eyes is set upon the weyrwoman, her head slowly tilting to one side. "Escape? I guess that is true... " Of course she really wouldn't know, not having had D'renn as a weyrlingmaster. "Oh? Don't believe her?" Who to trust? "Well, perhaps experience in the future might tell me something." She'll be silent, before she might say something wrong to the two older riders.

Sua heads off into some of the smaller caverns.

Shirasuth warbles loudly as he glides in for a gentle landing. He's here! He's here! Once settles on the ground, the rusty brown folds his shimmering wings and lets his passengers dismount. Not the plural. K'nex grins at Cris as he slides off the side of his lifemate, getting a little help down from a forelimb. Down's a lot harder than up...But for once he doesn't trip or fall. Yea! "Cris? Need help coming down?"

Neolyth, in turn, bugles quietly to greet Kearneth before settling himself down on the bowl floor next to his rider. S'cen sends a wave in the blue's direction even as he replies to Rianne. "Thank Faranth I'm here? I wouldn't've missed it for the world. You ok?" She doesn't, after all, seem her normal cheerful self.

Sua wanders in from one of the many low-lying ledges.

"What?" Khena answers distractedly, her eyes returning to Kh'ryn, blinking slowly, while face is starting to flush. Was it really that obvious? "You're sure you're alright, though?" A hand comes out to touch the bluerider's arm lightly as her eyes glances toward Elehu again, then back to Kh'ryn. "We should stick together, though. I'll speak with her after graduation," she whispers, rolling a shoulder.

Cris climbs careflully down from Shirasuth's neck, using the bulky brown's extended limb, and steps safely onto the ground.

K'nex climbs careflully down from Shirasuth's neck, using the bulky brown's extended limb, and steps safely onto the ground.

D'renn lets any insults from Pyrene slip from his velvet-clad shoulders like water from the proverbial duck's back. "You're all looking very well today, anyhow," he tells the nearest weyrlings, bestowing compliments like sweeties.

Rianne buries her face in his neck even more tightly, refusing to look at the people around them.. particurally not Kh'ryn, in fact. Rianne's face is completely hidden as she nods her head slightly back over her shoulder and then says softly, "It happened yet again. I thought it was all over with. I had to do it again," Rianne says softly, holding him tightly with utter disregard for what might happen. But then she raises her face and smiles at him, as if attempting to rally her spirits again, though her smile is slightly bitter. "At least I've had practice now..."

Ayamizureth snores at Yajisarath, for no particular reason, leaving Loe to go off and tackle the challenges of being social by herself. How horrid. "Stupid, stupid, stupid." Huff, goes the weyrling, swishing out her coat and clipclopping towards Cris-and-Kez. Victims. There they be. "Hello-o-o! Hello, hello." Shifty-eye. "Hiyas." And all that sort of thing.

As the crowd grows surprisingly enough Serafa's shyness eases and she begins to look about from her rather small hiding place she had selected. Brown eyes twinkling with interest she notes the various colours of the new and not so new leathers. Much nicer than the drab things she's used to seeing back home.

Kh'ryn nods his head, his smile truly returning. "Yes yes.. Go! Shoo!" He sounds as though he's waving off a flitter, or something. Squeezing her arm back, he makes the first move and leaves here there... to either join Elehu, or stand alone, as he heads towards Reiko. He casts over his shoulder, "And don't ever wait Khena. You may miss out if you do that..." His eyes dart to Rianne as he says this.

Pyrene slips away from D'renn at the first opportunity. Instead her wandering brings her near S'cen and Rianne. "He's not one of ours," she observes to Kh'ryn. "What's he done to Rianne?"

G'deon has idly been lounging off to the side, quite happy to just lean against the stony wall of the central bowl and watch as people begin milling about. At last, however, he shifts the satchel slung over a shoulder against his back and peeks inside, perhaps doing one last mental count. Satisfied, he gives one fleeting roguish smile and begins heading towards the young group of leather-clad riders. "Wildfire wing!" he calls out, baritone carrying quite easily. "Front and center! Let's make a nice, neat line now..."

Lorsalia sighs and just tugs on T'am's hand. "C'mon, don't just stand there. Let's go say hi to- to Chelle." She decides, leading him towards the bluerider rather purposefully. Look who -she- caught. Heheh. Shoving the bronzerider to stand just in front of her, she bats her eyelashes at Chelle. "Those are some really pretty leathers you've got on. "Where'd you get 'em from?"

Cadgwith lets out a little hum of excitement as if they were hatching all over again. It's starting!

Catia straightens up a little, unfolding her arms to stick one hand in her pocket, checking for something. Looks like they're ready to go.

Hiza doesn't notice alot, which is why her smile remains bright and cheerfull, eyes searching around as people arrive, watching the skies a bit to see if any of her family arrives. Not that they aren't busy. She doesn't say anything in particular to anyone, giving a tiny chirrup here and there. And then G'deon calls and she scuttles in that direction merrily. She can socialize later.

Sua is quick to catch sight of a fellow brownrider, a grin soon coming to her face as she waggles a few fingers in greeting towards K'nex. "Oh, Kez! I've brought back a gift for you from the Hall." And a few more for herself, of course. Her eyes fade back a moment, glance shot to her own lifemate who has found a way to actually try and fall asleep. Frown comes and then goes, as her attention snaps over to the Weyrleader, a look still darting around to the other weyrlings before she shuffles foward slowly, hopefully in the line as directed.

Kariel appears from ground weyr's overhung shadows.

Cris clambers down Shirasuth's helpful foreleg, following K'nex in his dismount as she looks about, with wide eyes, at the crowd gathered. K'nex gets a poke in the side with an elbow as she points ... to the crazy looking Loe wandering over. "Watch out, Kezzy! Here comes Loe." is whispered as Cris attempts to look frightened.

Chelle is fixing to answer Lorsalia, mouth open, but G'deon's shout makes her pause. "Tell you later." she whispers and, with a wink, moves towards the line that's already forming. "Come on..." she calls to Lorsalia and T'am over her shoulder, "You can stand by me..." Serafa is given a last little wave before she walks away.

Loe pauses, blinks, and pivots, eyeballing G'deon and mumbling something grateful. She doesn't even have to be social, either. "Cris! Hey, Cris -- you wanna stand with me?" Brownrider gets a beam and an eyeball, even as Loe tries to back towards the weyrleader. "Whee. How fun." Right. Ahem.

Khena glances at Kh'ryn, her eyes shooting a 'told ya'-look at him as she hurries to take her place in the line forming in front of the Weyrleader, her hands busying themselves with straightening her jacket and the knot on her shoulder. Which would soon be replaced by another. Off to one side, Mneoth gives an encouraging rumble his eyes whirling blue and green.

D'renn's expression turns a little sulky. It used to be him up there, doing all that sort of thing as Weyrlingmaster. Shouldering his way to the edge of the crowd, he loiters near some of the other older riders.

K'nex grins at Loe as she clipclops over towards him. Victim? Hm. "Hey, everyone!" Ooo. The excitment. And look! Kez got all cleaned up just for the occasion. "Sua! You did? You went back? I /still/ haven't gotten off my lazy bum and visited. I'm feeling sorta guilty aobut it, but..." He trails off as they're all directed by G'deon to form a line. Oh. Oops. Talk later...The brownling winks at Cris as he shuffles int othe now forming line..

Kh'ryn joins Reiko's side, and then turns to glance at Pyrene. "Him? Oh, he didn't do anything.." 'Cept win where Khor failed. But hey, see what happens when you're too slow on your feet, or with your emotions? Maybe this will teach our blond, blueriding boyo to have a little more self esteem and courage, neh? To Reiko, he grins and waves them into line. "Shall we? Seems that the time's right for graduating!"

Relief floods the bronzeriding weyrling as G'deon instructs the weyrlings to line up. No more being paraded around by Lors. Pink in his face again (it's a reflection from Lorsa's leathers, really!), T'am steers the greenrider away and into the line. Lors, for her part, doesn't bother to move away from him and beams at Chelle, whispering, "They're still pretty!" as she waves at Hiza and Loe when they pass by to line up. They'd better all notice the person on whose arm she's hanging.

Nezdarvyth drops in from above, landing with a light *thud*.

X'ner is freed from Nezdarvyth's clutches, landing with a soft thud on the ground.

Still slouched against Cerdith's shoulder, Reiko spots Kh'ryn approaching and fixes a twisted smile on her fellow blueling. There's someone she hasn't seen in quite some time. But now Gid's calling everyone to attention, so she abandons her mug and straightens her shoulders, and with an almost grateful nod to Kh'ryn she moves to take a place in line next to him.

S'cen doesn't mean to glance over at Kh'ryn as Rianne explains; it's just sort of a natural reaction. He does dart his eyes quickly away, though, instead allowing his gaze to fall on Kearneth. Yeah, that's safe. Nod of understanding comes along with the explanation. "Hey, it's ok, it's ok. I think you've gotta go over towards G'deon now, though. Don't worry, I'll be right here." Patting her back a few times, he turns her around and pushes her in the direction the rest of the weyrlings are headed in.

Cris, after a moment of thought, scuttles after K'nex as he moves into line and motions for Loe to follow with a quick flip of her hand. "C'mon, Loe, we're going to be late for the line." is squeaked backwards towards green clutchsib as she sidles up into the line of Wildfire beside K'nex, and the nice friendly person that she is, saving a spot for Loe.

Pyrene raises her brows at Kh'ryn and makes a mental note to have a word with some gossipmongerer later. For now, she settles herself on a foreleg of Cadge's, grinning delightedly in accompaniment to her gold's crooning. Weyrling graduations... so special. If nothing else, the food is always /great/!

Chelle laughs at T'am and Lorsalia, shaking her head slightly at the two. Oh, the gossip they can generate! "Thanks." she whispers to Lorsalia again before turning to pay attention to G'deon...or try to at least. "They better be nice, I paid enough for them."

Rianne gives S'cen a rallying smile and then pushes away from him. "I'm fine, really I am. But I /swear/, I'm going to have Kearneth kick them all away soon," Rianne says with a grin before she blows him an elaborate kiss and then turns away from him to follow the others towards G'deon, squeezing his hands one last time before she joins the others, her eyes sparkling brightly with excitement and mischeif, and almost twirling with her steps, almost determinedly. "Well... and I never thought I'd see this day," Rianne says, laughter in her voice.

Loe prances and bounces and ... generally looks dweeby, stopping next to Cris. "This is all so exciting." Wiggle-wiggle.

X'ner was...here the whole time. Yeah. Cough. Mmhm. Zoom! And the bronzie boy scuttles over to take his own place in line. Ahem. Grin! Wiggle? Yes, show off them new leathers!

Sinead quietly steps in from the Guards Headquarters.

Sua bobs her head quickly, grinning over to the other Herder-turned-brownrider. "Ah yes, I went back. Found Latika, actually... Y'know that apprentices know like to hold promises of keeping your pets well." She pats the ferret on her shoulder, glancing from one side and then the other, trying to slip closer into the line, most likely near the end. Ah, she doesn't have anyone to stand next to, anyways. "Brought back more than that, actually, an' made sure to bring one back for you." That said, she simply slips back into silence... Waiting.

Kh'ryn steps into line, missing the raised brow look from Pyrene. Here they are, finally. A glance of something shiny catches his eye, and the bluerider spots X'ner next to him in line. "Nice leathers Ner," he offers politely enough. Meanwhile, Khor is wearing an outfit similar to his old uniform. The black leathers just fit him well, it seems, and he likes those blue shirts. Thefore, nothing new for him.

"Well, I won't keep you here with longwinded speeches," G'deon begins, giving the weyrlings all one last grin. "I never was too good with those colorful phrases, I'll leave that to the Harpers. But I think your actions have spoken for yourselves much better than I could, so with that... Reiko, Khena and Sua, please step forward."

Lorsalia cranes her neck around, blowing a kiss at Yajisarath who is watching keenly, and looks for anyone from Tillek. Surely, her old family hasn't completely forgotten about her? Maybe Emmett doesn't come, since he never seemed to like flying, but what about all her cousins? After a moment, she decides that they aren't there afterall and, with a sigh, leans heavily on T'am's arm. "I guess the Weyr is my new family now." She mumbles.

"Loo', Daaaaddy. Loo'it all da weyrlin's. Hee." Karette is contented now. She's been fed, her daddy bought her new overalls with /matching ribbons/, then tied her hair into /puppy ears/. Hee. Kare is a bit less... enthralled, mayhaps, by the matter, finding a perch and smiling fondly at his offspring. "Uh-huh." Lanky fingers run through his hair as the bratling is off again... with a screech of "Cadgamith!!!" ringing through the air. She just loves that gold. Though Faranth knows why.

Shandre goes home.

Hiza is distracted by something from her dragon, who purposefully turns and /ignores/ a certain fellow weyrling-dragon, and so is simply in line. Look at the Hiza, standing in line, (slightly unfocused) eyes on the Weyrleader, and on her wingleaders, and she just... listens. Woo, isn't /she/ the interesting one?

Reiko blinks, straightens her shoulders, and steps forward. She spares a quick glance at the wingseconds, but her eyes return quickly to the Weyrleader.

Catia's pair of daughters appear from the living caverns, Taesha the elder tugging the dawdling Livia by the hand. "Get a move on, c'mon, there's Mum..." Catia assembles the pair one on either side of her, and hushes them.

Khena glances at the other two in the leader-team, then takes one step forward, then another and another, finally ending up in front of the Weyrleader, hands clasped behind her back, fingers twitching slightly as she gives G'deon a slight nod.

Rianne finally reaches her fellow weyrlings and stands serenely beside them, all emotion ostensibly leaving her, though the sparkle in her eyes is just as strong as she walks up behind Pae, to tickle that girl mischeviously. "Well, Pae... look at us now!" The brownriding girl bounces towards her and beams and hugs her hyperly, just as was her wont, chattering excitedly as G'deon begins, calling congratulations as people step forward towards them. Rianne herself stands beside her, and ends up near Hiza to smile at her encouragingly, "This is rather strange isn't it..."

Pyrene sighs as she begins her applause. Her hands are going to hurt long before this is over. Cadge lets out a single bugle before settling into a croon. This is only the second time she's been able to watch this as a mother. She's excited. And as such, she barely notices Karette, although one eye does a full whirl at the overalls and ribbons flying towards her. Pyrene's daughter is conspicuously absent.

X'ner tilts his head vaguely to the side, throwing a bright grin at Kh'ryn and leaning toward him for a moment, just enough to nudge his shoulder friendly-like. Aw. See, he's gonna be nice enough not to jump on anyone..for the moment anyway. Nah. He'll just let people /want/ him to. Gwaha..leather. "Thanks..not so bad yourself there." A brief glance is sent in Hiza's direction, though attention is drawn back to G'deon.

Chelle clasps her hands in front of her and tries to stand still. She looks a bit like she did on the sands at hatching time, though without the white robe. She hops from one foot to the next, a nervous look on her face, really a bit silly. She looks over the crowd, knowing that there's no family there, she just waves at Serafa and Sinead, then grins as Rhajath's blue head pops up from where he'd been dozing to watch the proceedings with curiosity.

Cris beams cheerfully at Loe next to her, brushing at invisible speck of dirt on leathers as she watches the wingleader and pair of wingseconds step forward. Hands are rubbed together gleefully as Loe gets an elbow poke before she leans over to whisper, "This is so exciting, Loe!" in the greenrider's ear.

K'nex grins at Cris as she steps into line beside him, and then turns to look at sua again, "Hmm? Oh you did? I was pretty sure you wouldn't be able to find her...Good job." Not that he didn't want her to find the ferret or anything, but he had his doubts. "Bring back one for me too?" The wheels spin and turn in his head for a moment. Could it be? "Did you..that is...Hay?" No, that's not a greeting.

Sua is rather surprised... or as surprised as she can be, with a ferret trying to chew her ear off. A muffled snore is heard from the brown way back in the ground as his rider glances from one side, to the other, and finally steps forward. "I actually was prepared for a long speech... Didn't think it'd start so soon." Oh, and with that she actually beams brightly, bobbing her head for a moment.

Loe bobs her head, wiggling her fingers in Kariel's direction. She knows him. "Mm-hmm! ... oooh, starting. Squeak." Owlish eyes peer towards the leader-trio, glancing towards a herd of small children a few moments later. Loe knows them, too. Even if it's just because they steal her food. Aw. Fingerwiggle. "Eek."

G'deon nods quickly to the weyrling wingleader and wingseconds before stepping towards them and giving a crisp salute. No one ever said he didn't like a ceremony or two. "You three have led your wing well, as we call all see," he says loudly enough for everyone to hear, gesturing to the line of weyrlings just behind them. "But now it's time for you to lead them one last time in that final step towards full wing riders." And with that, he pulls a knot from the satchel at his hip and steps towards Reiko, removing her old knot before pinning on the new, continuing the process with Khena and Sua before motioning for them to rejoin the line of weyrlings, soon to be riders.

D'renn starts to clap, shouting congratulations towards the new riders he knows best -- in other words, the ones who used to be weyrfolk.

Elehu smiles softly as she leans back against one of the small boulders near the edge of the bowl, arms crossing as she simply watches for now with a quietly contemplative expression on her face.

Pyrene's smile is genuine for all three, regardless of colour. She won't be restrained to gravity though, sending a congratulatory whoop above the general applause.

Sinead quietly steps out of the guards barracks before seeing a crowd of people. The guard listens to G'deon before leaning up against the stone near the barracks. The young guard smiles as she watches her friends begin to graduate.

Lorsalia watches the first set step out of line silently, unconsciously wrapping her fingers tightly around T'am's arm. "Ouch!" he mutters, becoming red in the face with indecision. Should he push her away, or let her stay? The pair is the youngest of the weyrlings, and they're the cutest, too. So he shouldn't make too big a scene, since everyone is undoubtedly watching them. Smiling nervously, he tries to unwrap her fingers, succeeding in only loosening the grip a little.

Reiko watches with curious detachment as G'deon replaces her knot, and then the others, feeling an odd sense of accomplishment mixed with loss. Although that doesn't make any sense. She composes herself with a long breath and returns to her place in line, giving Kh'ryn beside her a quick smile. She doesn't even seem to notice the reactions of those gathered to watch the ceremony.

X'ner grins slowly and whistles, clapping a bit at the three. "Woohoo!"

Khena can't help a tiny smile from reaching her lips as her old knot is removed and replaced with a new, her eyes glittering as she glances toward Reiko and Sua, then over her shoulder at the rest of the weyrlings-soon-to-be-full-riders, then follows Reiko back into the line.

K'nex blinks. Oops. His attention is required elsewhere...He caugh ont othat, really. The brownling goes silent as Gid skips all speaches and jumps right into the graduation. He's paying attention, really. Blink. Ok, he's paying attention and he still doesn't get it. Wait..what? Erm. Applause, applause. Yay.

Kh'ryn claps and whistles as each new knot is placed onto the new riders. "Yay Reiko! Yay Khena! Go Sua!"

Kariel snorts a little as a wry grin crosses his lips, fingers waggling then casting a thumbs up in return as head nods in Loe's direction. Gaze then drifts to Reiko, offering a hoot and a wink, before back to the lavender lass obsessing over the gold, who has promptly plopped down by one of her feet and pets her toes delicately. "Bi'toes."

Cris shoots a grin at K'nex before she moves attention to intently watch the three recieve new knots and move back into the line. "Loe, Kez, look! We'll be getting those knots too." is provided, hands moving into applause that the rest of the weyrlings are beginning to do.

Chelle watches the three as they recieve new knots, clapping her own congratulations to the three, and to the rest of the crew as well. "Reiko, Khena, Sua! Congratulations!" she manages to yell.

Catia abandons the care of her children, to make notes of names. Fiddling with her knot with one finger, she cheers with the rest of 'em.

Cadgwith wiggles her toes as daintily as possible. By some miracle, she doesn't scalp Karette. All is well.

G'deon begins at the beginning of his list, as logical and methodical as always. In his own mind, at least. Beginning with the rider of green Bopth, he places a brand new knot on Bee's shoulder, then moves on to the next greenling on his list. "Congratulations, Hiza," he says quietly, giving her a wink as his one-time fellow candidate joins the ranks of full riders.

Sua dips her head down in a nod towards the weyrleader, though her attention is fully focused on her old knot being replaced, a soft little sniff following as she stares at the new one. She doesn't quite have a good feeling of loosing her old wingsecond weyrling knot, though her mind already swims in thoughts of the future. Giving G'deon a rather stiff smile and somewhat of a salute before returning to the other weyrlings, shuffling quietly back in her place of the line.

Shandre steps out from the Weyr's living caverns.

Sinead claps wildly as Hiza get her new knot and becomes a wingrider amongst the ranks. "Congratulations Hiza!" She exclaims cheerily.

Whee! X'ner cheers loudly, hands clapping together gleefully. "Alright Hiza! Way to gooooooooo!"

Livia pulls at her mother's hand. "Mum, mum, didn't you say that one was..." "Shush, Livvy," Catia scolds her daughter before the little girl gives it all away.

Loe's head bobs, just like those little ... head-bobbing hula dancer dolls. Except Loe's not a hula dancer. "Isn't this nifty? Mm-hmm. Nifty -- hey! Congratulations ... um, y'all!" Does she really have to keep up with names? Greenlet takes a moment to look down the rest of the line, eyeballing Lorsalia and T'am. Hrm. Ponder, goes the Loe, latching firmly onto Cris's arm and beaming in no particular direction, poking the bluerider in the side. "Shh." Cue secretive whispers, and all that rot. "Now we're cute. Shhh."

Pyrene claps harder for Hiza. A girl who /knew/ how to be a candidate. "That's it, Hi'! I knew you could do it!" she calls, exultant in her Searchee.

"Hiza! Whoooo!" is D'renn's contribution to the congratulations.

Chelle chuckles at Hiza, clapping along. She's already lost count of the new knots and who's gotten them. Too much excitement! "We've done it..." she mutters mostly to herself, "We've actually don it..."

Hiza gives a bit of a cheer as the trio recieves new knots, eyes dancing happily for her friends. Grin remains on her face, sincere and happy-like. And she blinks a bit as /her/ knot is changed. "Ah.. thank you." The new knot is fingered a bit and eyes go out to the congratulators, beaming.

K'nex twitches. After all, he's very good at it. Lots of practise. And then he grins bakc at Cris, "Oh, gee...We /are/." Unless he missed something, and did something wrong, and...and...Twitch. Calm. Calm. "Oo, Yay Hiza and Bee!" He's gonna clap for everyone, after all.

Lorsalia sees one of the older men she's always had a crush on enter and she carefully takes a step away from T'am. Wouldn't want to make anyone jealous, she doesn't. "Um, congratulations, Hiza." She calls down, in turn, leaning in front of the blushing T'am once more. Poor T'am. Always blushing around Lors.

Khena doesn't yell, or cheer, or anything the like. She just stands there, craning her neck to see the other weyrlings receive their knots and occationally glancing down at the one on her own shoulder. "Finally," she whispers to herself, the smile on her face broadening as she spots Elehu watching.

G'deon moves next to Loe, continuing the rather formal pomp and circumstance with an increasingly informal grin. "There you are, Loe. Congratulations." And next, that lover of pink, Lorsalia. "You can put the knot just so if I don't get it right," he teases quietly, giving the greenling a wink before moving right on down to O'ops, the guy stuck with green Adaisyth. He's not wasting any time with this knot thang, surely.

Shaiyun walks in.

"Go, Hiza!" Rianne cheers wholeheartedly for her friend, giving her a great big sparkling smile as she comes bak from getting her knot, grinning at her and walking forward to hug her quickly. "Congratulations, my friend," Rianne says and then steps back into the line, her feet dancing slightly as she watches Loe and Lorsalia next be promoted with her eyes twinkling with laughter. "See, it /did/ happen after all..." Another cheer and round of clapping from her for the two Ls.

Cris blinks, startled the slightest as Loe latches on to her arm. With a secretive glance towards Lorsalia and T'am, Cris returns the poke in the side for that cute greenrider that she's possesed. "We've always been cute, Loe. But now we can be cuter." is declared with a beam to the greenlet clutchsib, though K'nex on other side does get a beam. "Ooh, Loe, you got your knot. Lemme see."

X'ner shifts around in place, impatient as he leans forward a bit, watching G'deon move down the line, knots handed out and placed upon willing shoulders. Gah! The suspense is killing him!

Sinead continues to claps wildly, congratulating everyone she hada chance to get to know. "Congratulations Loe! congrat's Lorsalia!"

Lorsalia sticks out her tongue at G'deon's back and takes great pains to readjust the knot, even though it was just fine before hand. "He can't ever get anything right." She mutters to her neighbors, always with something negative to say about the young weyrleader. To the congratulations, she simply beams and leans on T'am again, showing him off.

Pyrene squeals as one of /her/ ex-candidate fellows gets called up. "Oh, /Loe/!" she calls joyfully. "You're a rider!" Well, duh. "And Lors! O'ops! well done!"

Reiko begins to relax now, clapping enthusiastically for the others as their knots are exchanged, and finally beginning to recognize faces in the crowd around them. Casually appraising glance flickers over each in turn as emerald gaze finds them... Kariel, Elehu... even Pyrene.

Chelle can't clap forever, so stops, instead, saying each name as a new knot is fastened to shoulders. "Loe...Lors...." and on and on. She has stopped her restless foot movement, instead becoming quite still as she's caught up in the moment.

Loe loosens her grip on Cris's arm slightly, beaming brightly at G'deon as she's knotted. "Um." Squeak. "Thankee!" Or something. "Isn't it pretty?" A sharp nod, and she wiggles her shoulder at fellow-cute-lady. "All new and clean and ... different." Swoon. "And more cute." So now they're collectively ... more cute. Right. Py gets a beam, as does Kare, and Loe's fingers waggle again. "This is nifty."

Shaiyun hovers on the edge of the crowd, peering through the space between someone's hand on hip at the riders, and starts belatedly to clap.

Hiza returns the congratulations she recieved with happy applause(really, her hands are going to hurt later), "Woo, Loe, Lorsa, O'ops!!" Not that she talks to that greenrider very often, but that's besides the point. G'deon is watched as he moves on down the line, lips ready to call more congratualtions.

Sua doesn't really seem to be one to applaud and jump around for fellow weyrlings, but she does call out a few congratulations. Bobbing her head and smiling is all that this brownrider will do, now. A hand is still working on the new knot, playing with the threads even if her gaze isn't on it anymore. She sighs softly, taking the ferret from her shoulder at last and sticking her back in place somewhere in her jacket.

K'nex grins and claps for all three greenriders, even the poor guy stuck with a green. Ouch. Of course, Loe being on the other side of Cris gets some attention as the brownling cranes his neck to see just what the new knot looks like. "Oo."

Done with the greenlings, no longer 'lings, G'deon starts in with the blues of which there were several. So fitting for Cadgwith's offspring. "A'sh, you and Squirtith actually made it," he offers jovially as he replaces the young man's knot and moves down to Chelle. "A fine job you did, Chelle, you and Rhajath," he adds, patting the woman's shoulder quickly before moving on. Must keep things going to remain efficient. And it's a wonder he can remember the order at all.

Serafa cheers long and loudly when Chelle receives her new knot "Yay Chelle!" She yells with obvious delight, as if to make up for the fact that she was the only one here representing Chelle's friends from Ista.

Sinead jumps and claps wildly for Chelle and Rhajath. "Yeah Chelle! Yeah Rhajath!" The guard continues clapping and jumping, how very, un-guardlike.

"Proud of all Cadgwith's babies?" D'renn asks Pyrene idly, loitering near her again.

Pyrene's applause drops off noticeably. She's saving herself for later. Chelle and A'sh do get some bright smiles. D'renn is ignored. Above, Cadge thrums with as much energy as ever. /She's/ proud of all her babies.

Kh'ryn silently watches and listens; clapping at the appropriate places and shaking hands with those passing back into line. Slowly, his turn approaches, but the bluerider doesn't say much, nor does he fidgit. As he stated in the beginning.. Let's get this over with.

Cris examines Loe's knot with scrutiny, along with a slow nod as she happily chirps her congratulations. "It's beautiful, Loe. I can't wait to get mine." is cheerfully provided as her comment, Loe's latched arm getting a squeeze as she watches the weyrleader start onto the blue weyrlings. "I'll be getting mine soon!"

"Woooooo.... go Looo!!!" Kare cries with a grin, making a fist and jubilantly punching it at the air. A miniature of the cheer comes from the mini-Kare on the ground who, amidst scritches, squeals a "Yay Auntie Looo."

Chelle grins as her knot is changed, fingers lifting to finger the new knot on her shoulder. It's /done/! A sigh of relief follows as she beams at those congratulators that she hears. Rhajath gets noticed, too, of course as she raises her hand over at him. He bellows loudly, a note of pride.

And there goes another one! "Chelle!" even, comes the cry from Rianne as she continues her little dance in place, Kearneth watching her from across the bowl with a tolerantly fond expression, for once off his high ropes and seeming to enjoy it as he impassively watches the riders graduate and watches and listens. Rianne moves towards those that are left, inserting herself near them. "It's almost time... I can't believe I'm shaking," Rianne says, holding up her small shaking hand.

Loe's shoulder waggles unnoticably at Kare-and-... Kare. Erm. Loe can't twist enough to get her shoulder that close to the front. "Yeah! You, and then ... Kez," who gets a belated fingerwiggle. "And everyone. And then ... we get to go do other stuff." Loe blinks, tugging Cris' arm slightly. "Um. What /do/ we do?" No more classes.

Khena glances around, trying to ignore all the cheering and clapping. Not the way she would have preferred a ceremony like this to be performed, but she didn't really have anything to say about that, now did she? Instead, she forces herself to relax, standing a bit more loosely instead of the attention she was so used to. Another glance and a smile is shot Elehu-way before she turns back to the rest of the weyrling, observing who's received their knot and who hasn't.

More smiling, more clapping, and more congradulating comes from the brownling, K'nex as he watches his clutchmates get all their shiny new knots. It's just so../happy/. Sniffle. Ahem. "Yeah, Cris and me and just everyone," he says echoing Loe. Yay.

Next on the weyrleader's list is Cris, a broad smile on G'deon's face as he attaches a new knot to her shoulder. "You and Qelketh have done a fantastic job. Best of luck in your new wing," he offers, an amused light in his eyes as he moves on to Kh'ryn. "And for you, my lad, I have an urgent message that will need to be run to Southern Boll. Think you can manage it?" he asks, barely keeping himself from laughing as this blueling is fitted with the knot of a full rider. He quickly winks, though, before moving, just kidding of course. Surely. Perhaps.

X'ner grins. "Wooohoo, Chelle! Alright!" Clap clap! Hey, he adores all his clutchmates. Yes indeed he does. Oooh, and Kh'ryn is a bluey! And he's within the Ner's reach. Fwee. So reach out he does, giving a gentle pat on the back. "Way to go, Kh'ryn.." Oh my, the Ner is being non-hypercrazy.

Shaiyun goes home.

Phoenix blinks in from ::between:: with an audible sigh of relief!

Sinead claps, as per ususal, the palm of her hands beginning to turn a slight red. "Yea Cris! Woooh Kh'ryn!"

Pyrene grins in amusement as Kh'ryn's knotted. Cadge has an even more cryptic expression on her face as Cris is called up, the dragon yawning speculatively.

Chelle has had her moment in the spotlight and steps back to watch the rest, keeping a count on knots, or trying to...and watching each presentation. The grin stays on her face and she claps once again, though not nearly as loudly or as long now. "Good going Cris...Kh'ryn!" she calls to the latest of the 'changed'.

"Wonderful! We have a Rider Cris!" Rianne says elborately bowing towards Cris with a mischevious grin on her face. "Congratulations!" A twinkling beam passes over her face as she claps for her girl wildly, before turning towards Kh'ryn witha bit of a different smile on her face as she steps back and away from him to say a bit more softly, "Congratulations. You deserve it," Rianne says and then begins to clap even more energetically. "Already being put to work in fact!" Her gaze goes from him, to S'cen, to the rest of the weyrlings, shining and strong.

K'nex just beams, and attempts to give Cris a BIG one armed hug- wouldn't wan't to de-tach her from Loe and make them less cute. Ahem -and conradulates his friend, "Yay...Rider Cris. You and Qel..well.." The brownling stops and shrugs. Nevermind Qel. He's fussy and ran away from home. Of course, Kh'ryn gets applause, too.

Kh'ryn maintains his serious expression, until Gids mentions the urgent message. "Wha? Now?" he asks, until realization that it's just a joke hits him. Oh. Blushing faintly, the now-full-fledge rider fingers his knot and smiles at the crowd. "Anyone else got any other messaes to deliver?" he adds, laughing despite his embarassement, and taking his place back beside Reiko. Rianne's words are noted, and smile is offered... Though no other comment...

Imbriath drops in from above, landing with a light *thud*.

Aera, glancing towards the ground far below, slips down the smooth hide of Imbriath and towards the ground with help of lifted paw.

Reiko arches a brow at the Weyrleader's tease, but the smile she gives Kh'ryn at his promotion is genuine. "Congratulations." Just loud enough for him to hear.

Catia leeps clapping, grinning at G'deon's asides to the new riders. Livia fidgets next to her, while Taesha watches with an aloof expression.

Khena nods toward Kh'ryn as he receives his new knot, glimmer shooting through her eyes, silently mouthing 'congratulations' at the bluerider, whether he sees it or not, a crooked grin forming on her face. As much of a responce as to be expected from the brownrider in a situation such as this.

G'deon is still on the verge of laughing as he moves on to M'uch, the 'unfortunate' rider of blue Spamth. "There you go, rider," the weyrleader pipes up cheerfully, then moves on to the ex-Harper turned blue rider. "Rianne, it's been a pleasure having you as a weyrling. I can't wait to hear a song or two about it." Hint hint. Or not.

Cris has a knot! Everybody cheer! Removing new knot for a moment and closely examining it, Cris beams even brighter than her usual. "Lookit this, Loe! I bet mine's shinier than yours!" is chirped. At K'nex's hug, brownrider gets a glittery-eyed beam and she returns the one armed hug with one of her own. "I'm a rider, Kezzy! And Qel, well, he's still a dragon." is provided as she trails off, shooting a glance over to the blue.

Touga suddenly disappears ::between::!

Lorsalia and T'am continue to applaud their fellow weyrlings, Yajisarath copying them and shaking her bells in the background to help with the noise.

Pyrene grimaces at M'uch and Spamth, but puts a little energy into her clapping for Rianne. Never hurts to suck up to a harper.

Emerald green spirals down from the crystalline blue sky. Perhaps a little late, but better late then never, right? Imbriath's rider isn't what we would call the conventional rider -- first off, she's a few handspans too short of the mark of riderhood. On the second hand, she's got the pudgy face of a child and leathers that obviously weren't made for her, but were adjusted here and there so that she has the ability to actually /move/ in the thing. Aera trip-tumbles down the monsterous green side, slapping it as she goes. "Tanks, Imbwi!" Still having problems with those r's, apparently. This little Kwa-spawn was probably completely unaware of the celebration but look! She's still here, isn't she? Anyhow, she's got a sweetstick stuffed into her mouth and smudged onto her cheeks and, even as she begins her rediculous swagger into the crowd, is shouting greetings to people she barely knows. A congratulation or two is even thrown in as others south such things as well.

D'renn claps his hand over his mouth to stifle a very audible yawn that interrupts his clapping.

Congratulations here and then over there, Sua seems to tire of this for the moment. Instead, her head bobs and her lips twitch up into a grin as she watches the show. One knot is replaced with another as a nice large crowd begins to bounce with excitement. "No more 'lings, now." Or well, there still are a few left to go. Amber eyes brighten even more, her arms soon crossing against her chest as she waits for the rest of them to be announced as full riders with their new knots.

Loe squeals, chirping back and peering at a Cris-not. "They're /both/ shiny." A few bobs of her head, and she peeks up and down the line again, hmming. "I wonder how many more we have left?" Squealch.

Sinead yeahs and jumps, her feet becoming sore as well, but that doesn't mean she's about to stop. "Yeah Rianne!" She exclaims excitedly for her, and to M'uch, they she really didn't get a chance to know him.

As G'deon reaches her, Rianne looks at him for a moment as if not quite believing this. Wait.. he's supposed to go to other people. But.. wait... But Rianne recover's herself to a Harper's composure very quickly and takes the knot from him gently, tossing it in the air playfully and then catching it. "Oh, yes, it seems to be real," Rianne says with a mishevious grin at the Weyrleader. "And thank you very much... but I doubt that hearing a song of /my/ composition would be much of a treat," Rianne grins and then drops a curtsey to all those clapping and smiling.. without her skirts. She manages somehow. And then she promptly turns and marches over towards S'cen determinedly and shows him her knot. "See this? This means that I can do /this/!" With that, Rianne leans in to kiss him firmly on the lips, her eyes dancing with laughter.

K'nex glances at Qel again, and rolls his eyes- Oy -- before grining back at Cris. "Yes you are..." And then he's clapping again for M'uch and Rianne as they get their new shiny knots. Twitter. Is that all the blueriders now? Oh my...Rianne is..eyed for a moment before Kez turns his head away. Ok, she's just weird. That knot is definatly going to her head. Cough.

Chelle , still watching carefully, can't hold back a giggle as she watches Rianne and S'cen. She shakes her head in amusement at the display, but to each their own. Turning back to the rest of the proceedings, she cranes her neck a bit to try to count how many are left at the end of the line.

Hiza cheers for the blue-no-longer-lings, concentrating on the ceremony being held out and not on the people watching. If her family is there, she'll get to see them later, now won't she? And other people as well, more local. So she claps and cheers and is happy-like for those around her, "Yay! Chelle, A'sh! Cris, Khor, Ri-anne! M'uch" And eyes twinkle as the former-harper bluerider goes toward the unfamiliar other-rider, happy for her. Yay.

X'ner continues to clap, grinning broadly, and glances over at Rianne, promptly laughing. "Wooooooohoo! Go Rianne!!" Hey now, gotta root for kissing stuff. Sniff. Who's going to kiss him when /he/ gets his knot? Hm? Hm? Sniff.

Now on to V'king, rider of blue Valhallath as G'deon digs in his satchel for still more of the shiny new knots. "Fantastic as always, lad," he offers with a clap on the back after the new knot is attached. "Keep it up. And you, W'eilurv," he adds, grinning at blue Albluesth's rider, "always so charming." And at last he's done with the hearty group of blue riders and starts at the top of his list of browns with Teeth's rider, Essie, and on to K'nex. "You've done a fabulous job, K'nex," the weyrleader comments genuinely while attaching the rider's knot. "Good luck in the future."

And now that that is over with, Kh'ryn stands slightly apart from the rest of the newest riders. He claps along when Rianne receives her knot, but his hands stop on their own accord when he spies her kissing S'cen. Instead of continuing as though nothing happened, those same hands reach into his pocket to pull out a small flask... Which is uncorked immediately, and drank deeply from. See, there's another good thing about the new knots. You can do this without anyone telling you off for it. Another few longs pulls from the wine, and Khor slinks off deeper into the crowd. Time to celebrate in peace...

Sinead yells and screams. "Go K'nex! Wooh!" She jumps and screams like a guard gone mad, which is just dangerous, but still.

Pyrene cheers Rianne soundly after that display. Good for those who inject a little gossip-worthy entertainment into the proceedings. "Well, done V'king... W'eilurv," she responds in a more lacklustre tone. She perks up again for Essie and K'nex though. Browns! Cadge bestows the same speculative yawn on K'nex as she did on Cris. Somethings she remembers. Or kind of remembers. Or at least has it fixed in mind that these two need watching.

People are being promoted here and there and all over the place and s Aera is trying to wach the action but still watching, she runs smack-dab into a rather large bluerider. "Mmf." Is her only sound and then she aims a well-timed punch at his thigh, "Whatchewhewe y'goin'!" She demands, her little face turned into a little frown. Hands are placed on her hips and then she points at the action, "An' /watch/!" Well -- isn't she just a leeeeeetle imperious?

Squaln steps out from the Weyr's living caverns.

Cris gives Loe's arm and squeeze and a nod, a glance to her knot confirming the fact that Cris' knot isn't any shinier, gosh darnit. And then K'nex gets his knot, and a poke with her free elbow is provided. "You're a rider now, Kezzy." is declared in a singsong voice, and with a short glance to Cadge-gold, Cris attempts to look innocent.

D'renn keeps applauding, keeps a happy face. "Be nice to the blues, Pyrene," he hisses. "Cadgwith hatched 'em, after all."

Cybele steps out from the Weyr's living caverns.

Lorsalia oohs when the brownlings begin to receive their new knots and she bounces on the balls of her feet, beaming at T'am. "Ohohoh! You're gonna be next, you're gonna be next!" She squeals, one hand fingering her new knot. "I hope we're put into the same wing. Wouldn't that be /smashing/?" She asks, oblivious to the others now. "Except...I wanna be in P'rru's wing and that may be kinda awkward. But still!" She squeals, and continues bouncing around the still-as-stone T'am, whose face is still reflecting pink from Lorsalia's leathers.

Cybele continues, heading north.

S'cen was just innocently clapping the whole time. An extra cheer is given for Rianne as she gets her knot, then a proud smile as she marches over to him. He nods as she asks if he sees the knot, but she doesn't give him enough time to say anything. But that's ok; it's certainly not unwelcome. After returning her kiss he grins down at her. "Congratulations."

Blue. Blue. Brown. Brown! Hey..That's him! K'nex jumps ass he suddenly realizes that G'deon is attaching a knot to his shoulder. Oh! "Heh, thanks..," the brownling-er...brownrider finally sputters. Hah. He made it. Shirasuth bugles his joy in the backround, compleatly proud of his Rider. See, see? I was right. "Yay, Cris...Now we're both Riders." Cage is..glanced at as Cris looks that way. What?

"I /am/ being nice to them!" Pyrene snaps at D'renn, stung. "And I don't see that I owe them anything just because Cadge hatched them." Yes. The responsibility lies with Cadgwith, not her.

Squaln enters the Bowl with a huge grin on his face. Boots scuff on the ground and make clinking noises as he makes his way towards the weyrlings.. er.. /riders/ now! Squaly starts clapping and then breaks into loud cheers. "Wooo!" he bellows. Hopefully none of them get embarrassed easily, eh? Grin. "That's what I'm talkin' about!" Shards, he can be loud..

Rianne turns around towards the people clapping for a moment and gives them an elaborate bow after she breaks the kiss, and gives them all an elaborate wink. "Well?" Is all she says, with one hand on her hip before she turns back towards him and says, "Thank you, of course. And I've been waiting to do that, so you'll excuse the haste in which I did it," Rianne says with a grin up at him. "After all, this knot has to have some benefits an-" Rianne cuts off as she sees Kh'ryn in the crowd, her smile fading for a moment as her eyes fill with mist. "Why me?" Her question is quiet.. not pentulant, but just.. wistful.

Hiza is just as chipper and excited as G'deon continues as she was when he started, "V'king, W'eilurv, Essie... Kezzziiieee!!!" Shining smile toward her fellow formerlly-weyrlings, shooting a look to X'ner and calling pleasently, "Bronze comes after brown, y'know!" Meaning the X'ner doesn't have too long to wait now.

Chelle has finally stopped the clapping altogether. Not even one little clap is given to the full-fledged riders. Instead, left hand massages right wrist slightly. The silly grin is still on her face, as she keeps a tally, but she's let the magic of the moment overcome her, not worrying about trying to find words.

G'deon quickly moves on with Pae, giving the onetime Healer a wink and moving on before her hyperness can possibly consume him. Trip, brown Clutzeth's rider, is next on his list, then he's on to the two bronzers of the group. "T'am, congratulations. You and Farleth are an excellent addition to our Weyr." And last but certainly not least is X'ner. It's not Gid's fault the guy's name starts with an X. "Well done, X'ner. You and Nezdarvyth both." Then stepping back he gives the entire line of newly made riders a last salute, and a wide beaming grin. "Congratulations, all of you. And clear skies!" And now for the best part. Let the festivities begin!

Catia peers around the crowd, counting weyrlings still un-knotted. A hand creeps into her pocket again, and a soft smirk makes its appearance on her lips before she starting clapping again: the final bronzeriders have been 'caught'. Now for fun! "Stay with Taesha, Livvy," she tells her daughters, and starts to make her way into the crowd.

D'renn cheers loudly for the new riders... and leads the way into the living caverns.

Pae, that onetime Healer, bounces as she's given her knot. "Thank you, sir, sir, sir!" Her bounciness hasn't diminished as she thanks him and turns to run towards the others with a big smile on her face, boucning all the way, just as was her wont to do. "Congrrraaatulations, all!"

D'renn strides to the Caverns.

Bronze comes after brown? Really? Blink!!! Gah! Where'd Gid come from?!! Squeak! Oh. Blink. Knot. Rider...Yessssssssss! And the bronzie peers at his knot for a moment before whirling in place. Ah yes, crazy Ner is back. "Alright!!" Oooo! He knows that voice! Head turns to look over his shoulder, grin growing all the wider. "Squaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaln!"

Sinead shouts to all the new riders. "Congrat's Pae, T'am, X'ner!" She exclaims before shouting out a congratulations to all of hte newest riders

Pyrene has somehow managed to clap to the end, although she does shake her hands vigorously after cheering for X'ner. The bronzes get winks though, and her head nods to Cadge. "And just think!" she calls aloud to the weyrlingmasters. "Another few months and Cadge will rise again." Wouldn't like to leave them empty-handed after all.

Pyrene wanders distractedly to the Caverns.

Squaln shuffles to the Caverns.

Somewhere near the back of the crowd, the celebrating has already started. A few more sips from Kh'ryn's flask, and he claps for the final weyrlings receiving their new knots. Then, he shrugs. May's well head on off towards the Caverns with everyone else... At least this way he can get lost in the crowd.. or something.

Chelle raises an eyebrow at the suddenness of the ending. "That's it.." she states to herself in unbelief. "Well, well, well...." Instead of following the rest inside, she walks over towards Rhajath, spending several moments with him.

X'ner slinks along to the Caverns.

Hiza gives joyful cheering to the last ones to be knotted, "Paaaaae, Trip, T'aaaaaam!!!! X'neeeeeerrrr!" So she has a soft spot for the bronzeriders. And with that she moves quickly toward her Issryuith, giving a happy pat to her neck and removing a package. Time to go change, and then party. Whoo.

Serafa slinks to the Caverns.

Sua seems to have missed so much with the days locked in her weyr or the trips to the Hall which she took to bring back a few... things. Something she has missed, and simply gives a few blueriders a glance and then the rest of the new riders a look. "Well, finally that's done with." And now what do they all do? Of course, be riders... And so the young woman heads away from the crowd and those heading to celebrate, simply making her way to her brown lifemate silently, already ready to show off her new knot.

Catia heads straight towards the blond head of a darkly dressed new rider, moving swiftly through the departing crowds. "Kh'ryn?" she calls.

Reiko breathes a sigh as the last weyrling knot is exchanged, slipping into the crowd as if she might be able to vanish completely, headed inexorably toward the caverns with everyone else.

Khena blinks, suddenly aware that the ceremony is over and, taking a deep breath, breaks rank moving to her lifemate to give him a good scratch on the muzzle before turning around to the rest of the crowd, her steps carrying her around it toward the shadows.

Sinead quietly steps to the Caverns.

Elehu quietly walks to the Caverns.

Reiko saunters to the Caverns.

K'nex's face is starting to hurt from alll this grinning just like his hands are hurting from all this clapping. Not that he's abotu to sell anyone short by stopping, no sir. "All-right!" Well, that's it folks. They're alll Riders. Aww. And now they're all off to the party? Shiver..

Kh'ryn walks, with casual strides to the Caverns.

Catia walks slowly to the Caverns.

Khena treks to the Caverns.

Hiza slinks coyly to the Caverns.

Hands sore with applause, a grin creasing her face, the tall Reacher heads back intot he cavern.. Shan is a quiet one, and doesn't know too many here.. for all that she has lived her for over aturn.

Shandre walks to the Caverns.

Phoenix glides to the Caverns.

Zylpheth goes home.

Abacab glides to the Caverns.

Loe peeks about, squeaking as the knotting finishes -- and then scuttling off to get changed. Dresses are nice. Eek.

Kariel walks to the Caverns.

Nezdarvyth goes home.

Kearneth takes off.

Cris walks to the Caverns.

"Of course I will," S'cen tells Rianne in reference to her "haste". After all, it's not like he was complaining or anything. As she turns to look at Kh'ryn, he does as well, a slight frown crossing his face as he protectively circles an arm around the newly promoted bluerider. "He'll be ok." Well, S'cen doesn't really know that or have any way to find out, but anything to make Mari feel better about it. "C'mon, let's go to the party in the caverns." Keep her occupied and all...

Skeseth sniffs toward his lifemate, eyes whirling at her shoulder and he settles back on his haunches, wings fidgeting with slight irritation. He glances toward G'den, then back at Sua. Is that a grin quirking on that brown, draconic maw?

Loe slinks shiftily to the Caverns.

K'nex wanders to the Caverns.

Sua's smile slowly stretches, scritching her lifemate with that usual unfocused look of hers. "Now you stay out 'ere, an' I'll be back shortly." That said, the brownrider turns on her heel and quickly makes her way towards the living caverns-- and the wine that is most likely awaiting her.

A determined smile lights Rianne's face as she turns away from Kh'ryn as he walks into the caverns into the crowd, shaking off her wistful look, and everything about it as well as she can, though her smile is still somewhat mild, not like herself. "I.. hope he does. I hate this. I don't like hurting people. And I seem to be doing it too often lately..." Rianne's voice trails off, but she circles her own arm around his waist and smiles at him gratefully for his arm and the contact and.. just his presence, it seems. "Yes, let's go. How could Harpers miss a party, after all?" And with that.. into the caverns she begins to walk.

Ayamizureth takes off.

Sua steps gracefully to the Caverns.

Rianne sweeps confidently, with just the slightest hint of a whisper to the Caverns.
