- Detailed description:
  - Blade and tang are made of the blackest adamantine.
  - Hilt is made of the purest mithril.
  - Quillons are shaped in the form of coiled gold dragons.
  - Left edge of each face of the blade has the rune "Pax" (Peace).
  - Right edge of each face of the blade has the runes "Fait," "Justitina," "Ruat," "Caelum." (Let Justice Be Done Though the Heavens Should Fall).
  - Pommel is capped by large blue star sapphire held in the jaws of a mighty Platinum Dragon. Six hollow indentations mark spots where similarly sized gems might once have been placed, though these have been lost (rumors suggest that the blade will gain great powers if all six lost stones are recovered).
- May shed light (30 foot radius) as long as needed.
- Has intelligence 30 (player may select Pax's languages) and communicates empathetically to its owner.
- Pax can heal its owner only once per day for 15 points CON.

Background/Personality

Daughter of a pig farmer, Blodwydd chose to run away with a passing mercenary rather than take up the life of a farm wife. Her naturally large build and muscles built by years of hauling slop buckets gave her a natural ability at fighting, and she managed to coax her merc boyfriend into teaching her the art of the sword before becoming bored with him and dumping him in Khazan. Since then, she has lived the life of the wandering adventurer, charging into this scrape and that for a few gold, and just as quickly gambling it away, her one true addiction. Blod's reputation for boldness may be better characterized as impetuousness. She's not one to shrink from a good brawl, but she also knows when she is outmatched, and when to take to her heels. She is generally good natured, but her tendency to bluster and assume can be offputting to some.

Appearance

A large, leanly muscled young woman, Blodwydd is probably a reasonably attractive young woman, but this is well concealed by her normally stunning lack of personal hygenie. Her hair is red, usually greasy, and often hacked into various mismatched lengths, as she simply cuts off the bits which annoy her. Her leathers only get washed when she falls in the river, and her smile would be charming if one weren't so distracted by yesterday's breakfast stuck in her teeth. The one exception to her general untidyness is her sword and dirk, which she scrupulously maintains in a state of shining readiness.
