Background/Personality

Bela's pretty rich, comes from nobility (son of Calenril, the mathematics director of Minas Thingul), very well-educated, has been in a few adventures and came out embarrassingly rich and quite embarrassed, too.

"Bela Oxmyx is his chosen name, not his given name." It is taken from the Star Trek: The Original Series episode #46, "A Piece of the Action."

"Why a slide rule? Bela taught mathematics at the college of Minas Thingul in another world I call Lennoxa. A deluxe staff can take any form: staff, wand, ring, amulet, crown, etc. The slide rule seemed natural."
