3.Castlevania Symphony of the Night-Its elegant, has old fashion 2D gameplay, and lots of things to find. This game also plays host to one of the coolest secrets ever, a whole new castle to explore after the you beat the game. It really does not get any better in the adventure realm.

2.Chrono Cross-Just the way Chrono Trigger was one of the Super Nintendo's greatest games, CC is among the cream of the crop for PS One. This one has it all, 40 characters to find, a complex time-traveling story, artistic graphics, God-like soundtrack, and multiple endings. Believe us when we say this is the best Playstation rpg.

1.Final Fantasy VII-Ok so Chrono Cross is considered by us to be the best role playing game ever, but FF VII will go down as the single most important game for PS One. Who can ever forget Cloud, Tifa, Aeris, Sephiroth and the others...we know we won't. This was the marking that rpgs can be for cool folks. Congratulations to Sqauresoft and all the other developers for the great games for a great system.
