For all of the Dreamcast owners out there Sega still has some games awaiting in the shadows to be exposed, like Sonic Adventure 2. So when Spiderman was coming I really thought Sega was going to create a whole new experience. They did instead the usual port from console to console and this version shows it. Treyarch who have been responsible for the Tony Hawk port overs do another good job. If you have yet to play Spiderman, by all means do so, it was one of last years best action games on any platform. The textures have been cleaned up to give the game a higher resolution. So what about the gameplay, history has been unkind to the web-slinger, sporting games that are usually repetetive brawlers or cheesy fighting games. Thankfully that all changed because of Activision. Sporting the Tony Hawk engine, the game shows every dynamic possible angle for total realism. With a assorment of moves, and characters from the game and cool mission objectives; this game does not suffer from a lack of anything interesting to do. There is one major imperfection, the camera. The camera tries to show perhaps too much, thus causing several deaths that shouldn't have been, all because of a stupid and glitchy camera. So it all matters if you played the PS one version. So judge for yourself because its not a original but its still a good game.
Rating=7.0 Cons=Not much new here, and the camera is worse than the PS one version |
