Abbreviated Background:

Through much of his life, York Glasgow was one of _those_ people. He was one of those kids in funny-looking private school uniforms in the 50s and early 60s; he spent his college years being one of those guys in suits who mock hippies. Like most people, though, he got better when he left college, even if he did become a high-priced attorney.

Unlike most rich people in the 1980s, he went into politics instead of doing cocaine, and spent quite a number of years as a United States Congressman, before losing a Senate bid in 1998 under questionable circumstances, a year after being recruited by the Group.

When the first team supervisor retired a year later, York, as the most senior surviving member of the team, was promoted to be the new boss. He's kept the job ever since, despite various people calling for his head from time to time.

In that same time, York met and married Chyna Drake Glasgow, his current wife. Their relationship is too long and complex to list here; suffice to say if neither of them die again, or get divorced again, their marriage will be quite the sturdy one, in the sense that not.

His father, Manchester Glasgow, is one of the most successful gangsters in the world; while his mother Sarah tries real hard to pretend she never got married and just had kids from some strange source. His younger brother Edinburgh (the time-traveler, straight from 'Nam) is a geology student at a major East Coast college, while his younger sister Belfast is one of the largest marijuana growers in Indiana. Her son is Elijah Rhodes Glasgow, York's nephew and spouse of team member Monica Wilcox Glasgow.

Character Quirks:

York is something of a chamelon. Like any good politician, much of his personality varies from moment to moment, depending on who he's with. However, the real man isn't that hard to find, and he's basically a sweet, brave man, if given to overemotionalism.
