Sasha and Branwyth, who became very proficient wing members of Zephyr, along with their Kamikaze clutchmates, Ilare and Chanticoth, moved into a large weyr with magnificent views overlooking the calm waters of the lake, and its own hot pool. After graduation, she pretended to get drunk at the celebration dance and left with N'sync, who stayed the night....and was abruptly dismissed the next morning, with a shocked look on his face, having merely been used to get Sasha over the fear of men before Branwyth's first flight.
When Branwyth finally did begin to glow, and rise, it was Pilloeth who caught her, snatching her away from Backstreeth's eager clutches, and S'nor who caught Sasha. A flame ignited that day between Sasha and S'nor, but he was weyrmated, and she respected that. They became very close friends as a result of their shared experience, but the day that blue Mzadith caught Branwyth, and S'nor and Pilloeth dropped Sasha back at her empty weyr, she sent him away, saying that any thought of intimacy was not fair on either her or his weyrmate.
Nearly a turn later, during the bitter High Reaches winter, with snow on the ground, Sasha and Ilare quietly celebrated Sasha's turnday in the living caverns when they were joined by S'nor who explained that his weyrmate and child had left his weyr. Pilloeth and Branwyth who were very pleased to spend time together began a draconic snow fight, dragging their riders into it, and S'nor eventually came up to Sasha's weyr to thaw out by the fire. They talked long into the night, and after that, he just never left. Pilloeth ferried S'nor's belongings into the weyr and many of Branwyth's flights from then on were purely for Pilloeth to enjoy. Sasha had finally found somebody that she loved and trusted. She was immensly proud to be weyrmated with Mudslide's Wingleader, and would have done practically anything for him. Branwyth however was not satisfied with Sasha's happiness, and began to plot. With Pilloeth's help, Branwyth decided that Sasha and S'nor needed to make a human 'hatchling' together, and the two dragons persuaded S'nor to substitute something harmless, for Sasha's religiously taken greenstuff. And it worked. Sasha became pregnant, much to her complete horror.
Perhaps if S'nor had shown interest and excitement at the prospect of having a child with her, Sasha might have become more enthusiastic about the idea. But sadly, as time went on, she saw less and less of her weyrmate and he no longer seemed to show as much interest in her. When Branwyth flew, to the surprise of both of them, Pilloeth did not catch. Akilth received that pleasure. And eventually one day Sasha came back to the weyr to find S'nor had gone. It hurt when she heard rumours of him being with other women, but not as much as it hurt when Branwyth had to call a healer in the middle of the night, as Sasha lost the baby early on in the pregnancy.
Sasha was very pale and withdrawn for several months, ploughing all her energies into her work with Zephyr. Her clutchmates and friends, including ever vigilant P'rru (his fondness happily reciprocated leading him to treat her almost as if she was his adopted niece,) supported her and encouraged her. This paid off and she was soon selected to become Wingsecond, a knot which she wore extremely proudly. She hardly cared at all when Branwyth flew again, but was pleasantly surprised when Zylpheth caught and she spent some very pleasurable time with Kh'ryn with whom she became very close friends. His friendship, although from then on completely platonic seemed to spark her back into life again and she gradually seemed to get over that painful period in her life. When Branwyth was caught by Trydanth, Sasha and D'renn made quite a few waves on the raft in the middle of the lake, memories of which remained with her fondly, after D'renn and Trydanth perished during a particularly bad threadfall.
So today, Sasha lives quietly and alone with Branwyth. She has become rather more introspective as time has passed, content, so far, with the briefest of male encounters through flights of her dragon, but often wondering if there isn't something missing in her life....
