Cronamus

An ancestor of Crono who was framed and put on trial. You can save him. He, like his descendant, is red-haired with a strong passion for justice and the ability to control lightning. It runs through the family. His moves are different, and he is older and more grizzled. He starts out at a high experience level but with only average determination to fight. That will go away, but you'll have to fight for it.

Abilities:

X-Lock: Does two cuts that looks like an X-Cut, and that X becomes a target for future targets and transmits data. Very nice move that should be done at the beginning of any combat, for most of the rest of moves are made better with X-Lock done.

Battery Sword: Charges his sword with electricity, making it stronger. Great in tournaments for hiding.

Sword Slash: Throws his sword to make a Slash, then he goes and picks it up. His version of Slash is nice because it can be used strategically to move Cronamus long distances.

Run Stab: Stabs an enemy with electricity running through him and pins him against a wall. An extremely painful move.

Channel: After Run Stab or X-Lock, Cronamus channels electricity through the person and then discharges the energy, hurting his victim's friends. A very mean move.

Chasm Sword: Makes his sword glow with plasma, then charges at an enemy and causes a huge chasm to form. Very good move.

Splitter Strike: Cronamus splits his body into numerous shadows and then stabs an enemy. Try charging your shadows with electricity.

Lightning Surge: Creates a titanic wall of streaming electricity that can be used as a wall or as a surge. Very nice move.

Plasma Empower: Makes his sword pure plasma. This is another good charge move.

Ultimate Weapons:

Limit Breaks:

ULB:

Ancestral Skies: The clouds appear, then start moving backwards. Cronamus is on a hillside in 600 A.D. (the screen is black and white). He turns around and slashes an enemy from his memory. A few more slashes and he's in the present day fighting your current enemy. His sword remains black-and-white, however. Strike after strike takes place. The clouds move forward again and the sword reactivates. A powerful lightning attacks follows.

Reviews:

Cronamus is unusual among my Chrono Trigger characters that I gave moves and extra background for. He is unusual in that he has many large scale moves and not so many strategic moves. I still like him, but I am a strategic player. -Fred
