Gilgamesh

One of my favorite Square anti-heroes. Gilgamesh first debuted in FF5 as Exdeath's cronie. He was actually a good guy, but Exdeath tricked him. Exdeath banished him to the Cleft of Dimension as punishment for failure. He reappeared in FF8 as Odin's friend who avenged Odin's death by killing Seifer. After going home to the FF5 planet thanks to Butz and the rest in FF5, he traveled and became less of a coward. He created a new collection, consisting of Excalipur (which he kept in the hope he could uncurse it), Excalibur, Masamune and Zantetsuken. He has a very powerful ability, which is the ability to refine abilities out of weapons.

Abilities:

Morph: In his regular form he's an Arab looking guy. In his morph he looks like a purplish demon.

Refine Abilities from Weapons: His most powerful ability. He can develop abilities from weapons.

Summon Weapons: This is how you get his old FF5 weapons, including his javelin, his tri-points, his ax, his morning star, and his daggers (see picture below).

Equipment:

Assassin Dagger: Randomly casts Death on enemies.

Excalibur: Not so massive damage, but it does have a holy charge.

Excalipur: This thing does 1 damage regardless of strength, but it does increase attack fairly spectularly, so if you can get rid of the 1 damage thing or change it around, you get a good sword.

Firebute: A flame mace that randomly casts Fire 3.

Masamune: Massive damage from a samurai sword.

Rune Axe: Powerful criticals and good damage.

Sasuke's Katana: A nice Ninja weapon.

Yoichi's Bow: A powerful bow, launching death in the form of arrows.

Zantetsuken: Do Odin's cut, instant death to any enemy who fails the saving roll. Requires charging.

Magic:

Aero 2: Good-damage wind magic.

White Wind: Heal your friends for what HP you have.

Element Granted by Spekkio:

Lightning.

Ultimate Equipment:

Holy Armor of the Sun: Gilgamesh's ultimate armor. It looks rather like his regular armor, except it can glow and has superior defense.

  1. Holy and unholy damage is now reduced by 75%.
  2. Gilgamesh's armor is a holy weapon, although it can disable that if needed to damage an enemy. Unholy creatures who attack it will continually burn and take damage.
  3. The Holy Armor of the Sun can function as a source of light, able to illuminate a football field with sunlight. This sunlight will not kill vampires, but it will cause them pain (if they are the type to be vulnerable to sun.) Furthermore, Gilgamesh can blast bolts of holy sunlight; THESE will do lethal damage to vampires and unholy creatures.
  4. The armor can grow two armored, psuedo-angel wings made out of sunlight and pure desert sand that lets him fly at Mach 5, Mach 15 in daylight. This raises with level.
  5. The armor has all standard technological innovations: exoskeleton to boost strength/endurance/speed, forcefield, sensors, full environmentality, power system, mental control, cloaking, communications, self-destruct, teleporting, and so on.
  6. In deserts, Gilgamesh can summon blinding dust storms and local creatures to aid him.
  7. Gilgamesh can teleport the armor on in an instant, or, if it cannot be teleported to him, have it activate and wade through all danger to reach him.
  8. The armor regenerates .5% of it's capacity every turn, but that rises to 3% if in sun and 5% if immersed in sunflames or plasma! If the armor is destroyed, it is recreated with the rising of the next sun!
  9. The armor is impervious to heat and fire.
  10. The armor has internal weaponry: an automatic spiral Pearl machinegun on the right arm, two mini-missile racks (half of which are holy-enchanted), a solar-powered magic left forearm blade, and a Holy Hand Grenade Launcher. These also teleport on and off at will.
  11. The armor offers Regen, Shell, Safe, and Haste.
  12. The armor is a dynamic piece of equipment.

Reviews:

I like Gilgamesh as a character, but he is also an excellent fighter. Having eight arms and pretty good armor, he can be very deadly. At first his aim with a gun sucks, but later he can get pretty good. Refining abilities from weapons is his best skill, so use it. Also load him up with magic rings, because he does have 40 fingers. -Fred
